The cabin has a unique layout and decorated well. Home away from home. Google can't find it so follow Kathy's directions. Nestled among 100 foot pines, great hot tub, creek outside the door, foot bridge to convenient stores and close to it all. Visit the Skyway bar & grill for live entertainment, great food and the best beer garden in Mount Hood. Kathy was very helpful and always ready to respond. Would stay again.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I must say, our stay was absolutely fantastic. The six of us had a blast and truly got the most out of your accommodations. Although the nature of our visit left us feeling a tad bit hungover Thursday morning. We felt it was important to leave the place like we found it. Had so much fun, so many great memories, we are thinking of making it a tradition and returning next year. Thanks again, we will all be sure to tell our friends about Kathy's Kabins.

I really loved this place. Even though there were only two of us and our dog, it was still cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the creek behind the property and the use of the hot tub after a long mt. bike ride. There were plenty of towels, even firewood if you wanted it! The house is well decorated and very clean. My only suggestion to Kathy would be to have some cleaning supplies, a broom to sweep the porch, 409 for the counter, those types of things, I like to keep the place clean.There is a great BBQ restaurant down the street, but shop in Sandy as the grocery store is very expensive. I would reccommend this to anyone with kids, pets or someone who needs quiet. Kathy even met us there with treats for the dog. Close access to skiing, bike trails, fishing and fun! You won't be disappointed, this is a great price when you start looking around for accomodations.

Dear kathy, thank you so much for allowing is the use of Kathy's Kabin for our spring break adventure. The Kabin is quaint, cute and perfect for our party of 10 adults. We all enjoyed the amentities of staying here. All of us enjoyed the ideal snow conditions at the Ski Bowl, summit and Timberline. ?We had ski lessons at the summit and snowboard lessons at Timberline. Again, much aloha and mahalo from the Hamamura and Amano family. We will be back for sure! PS Thanks for the referral to Barlow Trail Roadhouse. The people there were great and the food was also.

We had a marvelous time! We had plenty of room! The cabin was cozy and e loved the warmth of the fireplace. The peace and quiet was much appreciated. We had such a good time and we definately will be back.The towel supply is awesome, we always had enough.

Thanks so much for letting is use your cabin-we had a great time! And the Big snowfall was just an added bonus :). This cabin is in perfect proximity to the ski hills and only a short drive to POrtland. Even after the snow, the roads stayed in godo shape for driving. This cabin has such attention to detail-even decorated for us for Christmas! We loved everything-thanks again!

Dearest Kathy, Your cabin was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Upon walking in, we felt very at home. We were actually kind of sad, such a lovely cabin with extra beds, we were sorry we didn't have anyone over to enjoy it with us! But then we got over it :) We will be returning with friends in the near future, we can't keep this little treasure all to ourselves. Our time here has been joyously wonderful. Your cabin has been the ideal place to call home after long days of sigtseeing. Oh, and the hot tub, an added bonus!! Thank you also for the champagne and white chocolate truffles. Okay place, they have great amenities and the location is great...loved the hot tub. BUT Beware of your bill. They will add on for any age kids (even if under 2 years old) and if any bed is messed up other than the ONE that you get with the rental. The 2 person occupancy does not apply to 2 beds. I was charged an extra $50 from my deposit before any explanation. Battled back and forth with Kathy with no resolve. Other than the charges...it was okay. I would personally recommend choosing a different cabin. There are lots of options. Kathy showed up before our check out time and sat in her car waiting. We were a few minutes late leaving, as we were trying to clean thoroughly. I was asked to take the sheets off the bed...except for the pee protector sheet...GROSS! I even noticed some stains on the sheets...GROSS!

Owner response:This guest was quoted over the phone and on his signed rental agreement for all charges. Anyone who occupies a bed is charged. He was quoted for 1 couple (he stated husband and wife), and 3 children. There were 6 beds total used. He tried to tell me later his twin boys (over the age of 2 yrs old) slept with him and wife? How can 4 people sleep in a queen bed? I think someone is not being perfectly honest here, because he got caught trying to get his friend in at no extra charge. There were no other adults mentioned, just 1 couple and 3 children. The guests had called and asked for a later checkout time, I gave them another 2 hours, but when I arrived at the time they were suppose to be checked out by, they were still packing up. . I did not sit in my car, I went inside, that's when I noticed another person carrying out her duffle bag from one of the downstairs bedrooms, who was not paid for, who stayed. I mentioned to this guest, he had another friend stay, when I saw her coming out of the bedroom with her duffle bag, and his reply was yes. Need I reiterate this on an email?That's what he was charged for. They were not cleaning up, they were packing up. All my beds have mattress pad protectors on them, (they are not referred to as Pee Pads) to protect the mattresses and guests, that's what they are for. All women know, sometimes you can't get all the stains out of the protectors. They are washed periodically along with the bedspreads, etc. I am sorry this guest was not happy, only because he got caught for inviting another person to stay and expected to get away with it.

Kathy, thanks for your hospitality. We really enjoyed staying at your Kabin. It was the perfect place to embark on some great outdoors adventures. We all went for a scenic run along the Salmon River then snowshoed through the afternoon at Clark Creek. It was great to return back to the cabin, start a fire in the woodstove and soak in the hot tub for awhile. It was also great to be able to watch the Winter Olympics on the TV and sit comfortably in the living room to play some games. Thanks for all the special touches that made our weekend enjoyable.

Kathy, I want to thank you for a wonderful stay at your cabins. There was a total of 12 people, from Florida, Georgia, New York and Oregon. The location of the cabin was perfect, either way Mt Hood to Portland. I personally need to hear the river cascading, being a city girl, I need the country atmosphere. The cabin had all of the amentities of home. Thanks again for a lovely week.

We had a wonderful week at Kathy's Cabin. We feel so at home it is hard for us to leave. We woke up the 4th morning of our stay to snowing, it continued to snow for 3 days and my kids were so excited! (we don't get much snow where we live). We really enjoyed staying at this Kabin. It was really pretty and had a beautiful view of trees and the creek. It slept 10 of us and we were all very comfortable. The spa was great. Stayed the winter of 06 during the storm and lost power for a few days. It was still superfun cooking on the wood stove, playing poker by flashlight. It was a wonderful experiance! Can't wait to go back.

Kathy, we had a fabulous time at your cabin. The couches, beds, comforters and quilts were so cozy. Being educators, we were all a little stressed out before our arrival. The cabin was just what we needed. It's a great place to curl up with a book, watch movies, take a dip in the tub and when feeling adventurous, hitting the slopes. Thanks again for such a great place. Hopefully we can find the time to come again.

Kathy, This is such a charming cottage! You have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The beds are heavenly! I also appreciated the quality furniture and appliances. I even noticed how great the door handles, light fixtures and faucets are(!) I really like that you leave the little food extras so we didn't have to buy every last detail to make a good meal. We had "Christmas in July" dinner and you had every pan, bowl, utensil and appliance needed to pull it off. This whole neighborhood has a great feel. Kathy, just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed the cabin. Our New Years was relaxing ad quite, just what we needed. It was such a nice walk to explore and see all the great stuff that is along the river! Where did you get the bed in the room to the right of the bathroom? It would be perfect in my new house. I just loved the wood and iron slats. Also could you let me know where the comforter came from. It was really nice and my old one is worn out. Kathy, Thank you for the wine and card, it was very thoughtful. Your cabin is beautiful. I love the decor and the furniture. I love the layout as well, it worked very well for us. I would love to rent it again and bring my parents sometime. Our friends would like to rent it out again soon as well. (maybe when it's actually snowing rather than raining) The skiing didn't work out because of the rain, but it was cozy and comfortable to just stay in. We did our best to treat everything with the utmost respect and leave things the way we found them. Again thank you for the opportunity to enjoy such a lovely place. We will cherish the memories. I think this cabin was very fun. I liked the hot tub and the path along the river. Sam I liked your cabin alot. I slept in the upstairs twin, it was very comfy. I hope to stay here again. Thank you.
