We loved the house; very comfortable for 7 friends travelling together. The location was fabulous; quiet but close enough to the city center to walk - no need to take the bus or taxi. Lovely places to eat nearby as well. The owners were extremely helpful with all our questions before and during the visit. The added gesture of the first breakfast is especially thoughful. Highly recommendable for a weekend - a week or longer.

Eight of us stayed in this lovely 4 bedroom apartment. Rona was wonderful to work with. She was pleasant and extremely helpful. We felt more like visiting friends than renters. The apartment is in nice, quiet neighborhood while still close to all the sites in Edinburgh. It was about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the apartment to the Edinburgh Castle area. The apartment was also a short walk from several good restaurants and grocery stores. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Scotland.

Party of nine with four kids aged 7 to 12, french and australian. We had a wonderful time beginning with Rona and Howard's nice welcome (also bread, milk and cheese for us in the house). The house is beautiful, plenty of space. Very well located, close to city centre and to many amenities. We went out in Edinburgh either walking, either by bus (bus stop near the house).Beautiful walking close to the appartment (Take Leith Walk to Botanical Garden, Museum of Modern Art...). We highly recommend this appartment. Nous étions 9 dont quatre enfants agés de 7 à 12 ans. Très bon accueil des propriétaires. L'appartement est spacieux, plein de charme et très bien situé. Nous avons pu visiter Edinburgh à pied ou en bus (arrêt de bus près de l'appartement). Le centre touristique et la vieille ville sont proches de l'appartement et on trouve de nombreux commerces et restaurants, pubs, dans le quartier. De magnifiques balades au départ de l'appartement sur la Leith Walk (jardin botanique, Musée d'art moderne...). Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

We had a great time staying here and wished we could stay forever! We were a group of 2 couples and 2 singles so the size was absolutely perfect. We loved being within walking distance of so many shops and restaurants. Rona was so kind and left the kitchen stocked with the essentials of coffee, tea, milk bread and cheese, so great! The beds were big and comfortable, we were able to do laundry, played games in the living room and enjoyed warm showers with great water pressure. We would highly recommend this place, great price, great location and excellent hosts!

I stayed in this property with family members in late June 2010. Everyting about the rental went well, from the rental arrangements with the owner to our arrival and stay at the property. The rooms were exactly as advertised on home away, well decorated and clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The walk into princes street was fine for us at about 20 minutes (with children) but may be long for a couch potato. I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurants and shops that were a couple of blocks away so that we didn't need a longer trip into Princes street or old town area to have a meal. When we arrived and departed the owner Rona was present to make sure everything was ok. She provided a welcome pack of milk eggs butter and bread which was very useful. I recommend this property and would certainly stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this spacious and lovely home. Rona was wonderful when she greeted us. We deeply appreciated the welcoming groceries! My family of five and my sister truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home.

Our family enjoyed our stay in this colorful and roomy apartment. We liked the location out of the busyness of the city, yet easy to get to on foot or bus. Restaurants and shops were in walking distance. The owner was very helpful to us also.

What a wonderful place for us to call home for 4 days. The kids loved all the books and the use of a baby cot was priceless! Many thanks for your help in getting us started with buses, sights etc....

Had a ball. Overcast but warm. Thanks for the bread and supplies - great after a flight. Fantastic apartment and fab location. Kids loved the games. Good takeaway around the corner and really close to town. Went up to Lochness with Scotline Travel. They were great. Fabulous to eat breakfast in the bay windows looking at the locals. Everything we needed was here. Will recommend to our friends.
