" Our family absolutely fell in love! We loved the view the house the Great Blue Heron that comes for breakfast every morning. The tide comes and goes with such variation in water level that leaves thousands of starfish for us to see. Beachcombing is terrific! The location is everything we would have dreamed, only more. You are so lucky to have it. Thank you kindly for sharing.
We would love to come back again, its a great family place." The R family
P.S. Thanks for the binoculars

"Our first gasping wonderment at this gracious home with its glorious location , slow cozy wake-ups with coffee and the changing sea, a luxurious deck supper, the shore birds, boat traffic, the corgis!!!, beachcombing and relaxing in this welcoming and exquisitely appointed home on the ocean. While we came to enjoy Sechelt and the Sunshine Coast we couldn't wait for our house time. Thank you for making us welcome here. We promise to return soon." KCLS & M who will be here next time

Just a quick note to say that the five young mothers arrived and I received the Visa imprint. At the risk of repeating myself every time people see your home for the first time, they were awestruck.
See you Sunday, Ursula

The storm watching is fantastic! It's like being on the prow of a ship with the waves crashing on either side yet being safe and sound well above"

"Sargeant Bay Wonderland" I just wanted you to know we had a fabulous time at that little slice of heaven at Sargeant Bay.

We were all able to swim, jump off the rocks, float, explore along the beach. We rented kayaks, took a short lesson and guided 3 hour kayak trip the first day, then brought them back to the house. We loved kayaking around Sargeant Bay and up both sides of the coast. My husband even made it around one of the Trail Islands and back. We also did alot of hiking, Triangle Lake and Trout Lake. My husband brought his road bike and enjoyed a couple of rides. An active holiday enjoyed by all. We always ended our days with oceanside happy hour and dinner following. It was a fantastic week.
this beautiful house and the location is priceless.

Bob & Heather,
Just spent three glorious days in Utopia, a. k. a. “The Sanctuary at Sargeant Bay”.
Our team of eight ladies ignored the inclement weather and enjoyed the peace and serenity of this home.
We ate, we drank, we sang, we danced and even played at golf.
It doesn’t get much better than this.
Thank you for a great stay.

Second time here was even better than the first. The "view" is unbelievable. I call this house "BAO LEE OAK" - translates to "Glass House" in Chinese.

Words cannot describe the views and tranquility of this fabulous home! Lots of fun around the dining room table - 6 of us in the hot tub. Lazy sunning on the deck and adventures on the beach.

Hi Bob,
We never got a chance to sign the guest book before we left. I wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at your home. I've never seen a property like it. One night a good sized storm rolled in. Laying in bed listening to the sound of wind rattling the windows and crashing surf was magical. We love storms. We almost never get weather like that in the San Francisco Bay area.
I can't wait to come back some day. I'm trying to talk the family into an August trip.
Thanks again for a wonderful, magical place to stay.

We are proud to own and share this wonderful property with you. The previous owner built the house 15 years ago. He was one of the original members of the Sargeant Bay Society which was formed to maintain the natural flora and fauna of this special wildlife preserve. Check out the sargbay web site. If you look closely at the center of the picture on their home page you will actually see our house. We hope to carry on his stewardship of the area. The natural beauty, numerous activites and wonderful climate of the Sunshine coast are well documented and easy to find on various travel websites so I don't have to go into these. It is still a relatively unknown destination - very tranquil and peaceful and unspoiled yet only a short drive and ferry trip from the action in Vancouver, Whistler, and Vancouver Island. Our property is ideally situated midway between Gibsons (the ferry, Molly's Reach, and beautiful Howe Sound) and the spectacular inlets and sheltered coves of Pender Harbour. We are within easy boating distance of 4 magnificent Marine Parks and numerous Provincial Parks. We were struck by the peacefulness and privacy of this place. How relaxing it was for us and how comfortable and protected wildlife were, here and at the game preserve close by at Sargeant Bay. A safe haven, a sacred shelter, a quiet refuge, a restful retreat. A Sanctuary. Enjoy
