This one-bedroom apartment is ideally situated for exploring this wonderful area of Paris made famous by so many artists, including Van Gogh, Picasso and Toulouse Lautrec. Within a couple of minutes walk from the apartment you have the famous artists' square the Place du Tertre, the Sacre Coeur Basilica and Montmartre's windmills. And just downstairs, two artists have their studios on the ground floor of the apartment building!
The condo apartment has been completely redecorated and refurbished. It is typically Parisian with its original features still intact, including marble fireplaces, oakwood floors, plaster mouldings and large windows that flood the apartment with light. From the balcony there is a breathtaking view of the famous windmill, the Moulin de la Galette.
The 40 square metres (430 square feet) apartment comprises a living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, entry hallway and walk-in closet. The bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room sofa converts to a full-size double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped to allow you to cook at home if you like self-catering or you can sample the many wonderful restaurants in the neighbourhood - check out the Guest Guide in the apartment for our recommendations of tried and trusted cafes and restaurants.
For those rare nights in, there's a television with international channels and a DVD player with a selection of films. The apartment is equipped with free high-speed internet access via DSL as well as wi-fi, if you're travelling with a laptop or other electronic devices. Montmartre has always had a special place in my heart, since I first discovered it on holiday in Paris. When I wanted to buy an apartment for vacationers, I knew I wanted it to be in Montmartre, for that unique combination of true Paris life, as experienced every day by Parisians, and the magic we expect when we visit Paris.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
The living room has full-length windows that open on to a small balcony. There are a couple of floor cushions there so that you can take a book and a glass of wine and sit out on a summer evening. It's very peaceful. Or enjoy breakfast there while you watch people walking by down below.

I fell in love with Paris on a school trip and knew I'd come back some day to live here - which I did. What was meant to be a year or two turned into a lifetime love affair with the city! I enjoy sharing my favourite city with visitors to Romantic Montmartre and, as I live nearby, I'm always on hand to help.
I travel the world for work and pleasure, staying in everything from top hotels to basic campsites so I have a good understanding of what amenities / facilities / little extras in a holiday rental can make a vacation more comfortable.

I stayed at this Paris apartment with my husband and daughter (10 yrs) for just under a week. The weather was bright but cold. Paris wore an Autumn gown. The apartment was excellently situated near lively areas of Montmartre, very cosy, clean and bright and just right for our needs. Well described in the listing and the owner very helpful and welcoming. Recommended.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Spent a great nine days in this lovely part of Paris and the apartment was great. The location simply couldn't be better and the facilities were everything we needed. Montmartre now feels like our second home and this is in no small part due to the accommodation we enjoyed. We would return.

L'appartamento è delizioso! Accogliente e ben curato, con una luce strepitosa al mattino. Molto romantico.La posizione è ottimale; a pochi passi si possono trovare ristoranti e caffè. La Metro e i bus portano ovunque...In Ottobre poi, durante la vendemmia a Montmartre, esci di casa e a due minuti trovi bancarelle con ostriche e champagne, escargot e vini da tutta la Francia! We've been back a week and already miss our home away from home!!! My mother and I truly enjoyed the apartment. The location was picture perfect and the flat was comfy and convenient. My mother (who is 82) especially appreciated the Montmartrebus at the end of each day. Montmartre has always been my favorite section of Paris and now I have a wonderful flat to stay at when I'm there. Thank you Elaine!

This was our first experience in renting an apartment over the internet and Elaine proved to be both kind, patient and professional with her contract and trustworthy. Her charming place does feel like a home away from home and we now feel we prefer renting an apartment than a hotel room. Liked the area,we chose to walk "the bute" but its strenuous after walking all day to visit...take the bus!The traffic is continouous in the street but it is away from more busy areas. Elaine graciously offers guides and helpful information and certain commodities which were appreciated. Accepts well positive suggestions. Merci de nous avoir fait confiance avec votre appartement. Nous gardons de beaux souvenirs de notre 31 ième anniversaire de mariage et la pluie n'a certes pas arrêté notre visite effrénée de Paris.

What a fantastic apartment!!! Whilst our time in Paris was short, staying in this apartment made our trip to see Paris in the February sunshine perfect! Excellently kitted out (thank you, thank you for the hairdryer!!!) and with a wealth of tips and hints from previous residents to help you during your stay, Elaine has really thought of everything! The apartment is excellently located in the quieter end of Monmatre, you are able to see Sacre Couer from the balcony window, which drew a gasp of surprise as we arose on our first day! A beautiful gem in a beauiful city- thanks Elaine- we will be back!!

We have just spent 3 days in the appartment, and it was perfect. Quiet, cosy, warm, charming, and near to some wonderful restaurants (try the new one just down the road in rue Lepic "Des Si & des Mets" which is "sans gluten" and absolutely wonderful food). We will definitely try and come again. Elaine was friendly and incredibly helpful, so we felt that we always had someone to ask if we needed anything - which we didn't!
