Hi Kate! I am sitting on the patio at Coral Cove 2 as I write this. We are enjoying another fab trip and before I got distracted when I return home I wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay again at your lovely apartment. We have already contacted Asha to see about price and availability for next year. We also wanted to be sure to tell you about what an outstanding job that Romeo is doing. He is so nice and his management of the beach and building is fantastic. He really has been an integral part in making our holiday so special. Jasmine has also been great. We have enjoyed her cooking and looking after us so well. Don't want to leave any others out of our feedback- Devon has been great, and the gentleman taking care of the gardening has been great as well. You are really fortunate to have such a top notch staff taking care of your property! Thanks, again.

THANK YOU for such a wonderful time in “HEAVEN” a/k/a Barbados and for opening up your villa to us. Your villa; Roz; location; everything was PERFECT (even the weather). I had a lot of fun w/ Roz…she even gave us a little cooking lesson. What a great gal she is. The Villa was everything you described it to be and even more…..the view was breathtaking every morning – afternoon – evening…amazing. Albert, the gardener was very sweet and friendly, not to mention the security…..I never had a worry in the world. And the location – what can I say about literally being steps away from such a gorgeous beach. Every morning we would have our coffee on the patio before eating breakfast and then head to the beach for a long swim to burn some of the calories. The water is crystal clear and refreshing. The plunge pool was wonderful ….. came back from the beach – had lunch and then sat in the pool before heading back to the beach. Came back and enjoyed a few drinks watching the beautiful sunset while hanging in the pool. Roz made us delicious breakfasts in the morning w/ fresh fruit and the lunches were incredible. I don’t know how she did it but she did. And her calculation for the amount of food was on the money. We asked her to cook one dinner for us, gave her our list and wella – done…what a fabulous meal we had too. I cannot thank you enough – and think I have found my new “home away from home”!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent 7 glorious days in Barbados at this beautiful apartment. There are so many highlights to mention. First, the location can not be beat. The apartment is literally steps from beautiful Paynes Bay beach. As you enter the apartment you see the vista of beach, sea, and sky. Sunsets were beautiful and every evening we had dinner on the patio looking at the water, and hearing the pounding surf. The apartment was spotless, well appointed, and having Roz cook and clean for us was fantastic! The bedrooms were comfortable and baths were of the highest quality finishes. The apartment is nearby to a great restaurant, The Cliff, which we enjoyed as a special "last night" dinner, is close to Sandy Lane for spa appointments and golf, and we found a great walking route for exercise and seeing the monkeys! We would recommend this property to friends ( and have already) and we will be back next year. Thank you so much for making your home available to us!

Mahogany Tree

Everything about the Mahogany Tree is so perfect it’s hard to know where to start?!......as soon as you arrive at the apartment you know you are in for a treat. We were greeted by Ros who made us feel so welcome, and for the next two weeks she spoilt us rotten, she helped make this our best holiday ever. The apartment itself is beautiful, its spacious and the decor is lovely and in excellent condition. The location couldn’t be better, it’s a stones throw from the beach and I could actually watch my husband having his early morning swim from the bed (which by the way is very very comfortable!)...the spa pool is an excellent addition and we received many envious glances from the other holiday makers (don’t panic if you find the odd crab in there, just fish them out and send them on their way!) We had such a great time we have already re-booked for next year, I was almost tempted not to write a review because I don’t want everyone else to find our secret!! It was our 5th time to Barbados and we now can’t imagine staying anywhere else...it's perfect! Recommended things to do - swim with the turtles before the big catamarans arrive, eat at Tides restaurant, or if that’s all too exhausting just sit back, relax and enjoy the views.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

A paradise reunion...

This was the trip of a lifetime for the two of us, and everything about the apartment was perfect. It was exactly as described, if not better! Everything we had hoped for and more. The location was a dream come true, with the fabulous beach only steps away. The local area was very easy to get around, with amazing restaurants such as Lonestar, The Tides and The Cliff very close by. We sampled all of them and loved every single one. The Cliff has to be seen to be believed, a night of perfection! The sea views from the property are second to none. There was nothing better than sitting and relaxing in the plunge pool whilst watching the sunset. With a sip of rum every now and then :-) Roz was an absolute delight and there was nothing that she wouldn't do to make our stay special. The property was extremely clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed. We didn't even turn the TV on! How can you with such a stunning location on your doorstep?! The bed was extremely comfortable and the bath was delightful. Definitely swim out to see the turtles nearby - wait until the tourist boats have gone, and swim out alone, a much more personal experience. I got the surprise of 3 turtles flying past me! The customer service provided was also excellent, with every question answered and nothing left up in the air. Truly everything is catered for, just like a holiday should be! I can recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from it all and live like a King and Queen. We certainly did. We will be back to this special place, without a doubt. Thank you.

"This property is perfect in every way. It has all the comforts of a first class hotel with all the benefits of a private home. The apartment is large and spacious with excellent air conditioning and ceiling fans. The views from the master bedroom and the main living room are spectacular - looking at the beach and turquoise sea. The master bedroom is beautifully furnished with a huge and extremly comfortable bed and there is a large walk-in wardrobe with more than enough space for anyone. The bathrooms are marble and are very luxurious with huge white fluffy towels. Ros, the housekeeper is wonderful- nothing is too much trouble and she caters for your every need with a smile. Breakfast was served each morning on the terrace and Ros is happy to make anything you fancy. Each day she cleans the apartment and ensures an endless supply of fresh towels for the bathrooms and the beach. On the beach there are loungers and umbrellas reserved for the apartment and if you fancy a change of scenery the pool and jacuzzi on the terrace is private and a great place to cool down. The apartment is very conveniently situated close to the famous Sandy Lane Hotel and many restaurants and shops. An excellent property and a wonderful holiday I would recommend to anyone. "

From the moment we were greeted by a firm Caribbean handshake at the airport by Perry (or laughing boy as we named him) ...... we knew we were in for a great time! The attention to detail during the initial booking service was second to none - from diet and welcome pack requirements to whether we needed a car - or as it happened in our case - a bike! When the solid mahogany front door opened, we were met by what can only be described as 'the dream view' - we felt as though we could literally touch the warm Caribbean sea from where we were standing. Rosalind, our housekeeper for the week, was also there to greet us - and on hand all trip to prepare meals, to give endless help, advice and knowledge, and to act as our saviour when lost on the bike, 10 miles from home! The apartment is 100% as described, and delivered everything we could want from our holiday without the kids - from the most comfortable bed in a room with fabulous views, to the fantastically equipped kitchen and lounge. We were also very impressed with the on site security guards, who were always happy to help. The beach is wide and stunning - endless golden sand and turquoise blue sea where you can swim out to the turtles, and plenty of private sun loungers to use. Walking past Sandy Lane, we couldn't help feeling we had got the real deal! The Cliff restaurant, which was only a short walk away, was our pick of the restaurants - but you are spoilt for choice with Holetown close by. If you feel you need a pick-you-up, then this is the place! We have returned tanned and totally relaxed. And, would we return? Without a doubt!!

We had such a spectacular time here at the Mahogany Tree. The view is amazing and Roz cooked us fantastic dinners. Turtles were cool. We love Barbados so much. Hope to come back soon.

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at this wonderful apartment. From the moment we arrived at the airport and were whisked away in an air-conditioned taxi organised by Laura's team right up to our last lunch, we have not stopped smiling. Imagine this: You arrive, frazzled, from the long ( and this time, because of the snow disruption, extra anxious) tiring, journey to be greeted by Roz, your maid/housekeeper/cook for the duration of your stay. She has a roast dinner waiting for you, the patio doors open and a warm Caribbean breeze is circulating in the calm of a stunningly beautiful apartment. You eat dinner, quickly tour your new home and Roz, quietly and efficiently clears away the dinner things. Climb aboard the luxurious bed for the sleep of kings, turn your air con on or off.....have the generous ceiling fan going..its up to you... Bathe, in a marble bathroom, his and her sinks, soft, fluffy, white towels...this is life at the Mahogany Tree. Awake, and after a sunrise walk along a perfect beach, enjoy a breakfast of your choice, we had the eggs and bacon, french toast, pancakes and syrup, cereals and fresh fruit...not all at once you understand!!!! Tear yourself away from the fine interior, and spend some time in a charming garden setting, complete with cushioned loungers and electric awnings....or...take the small walk down into a private area (which I called the "pre-beach" where the shower for rinsing off after being on the beach lives) before going through a gate onto what must be Paradise itself...a breathtaking beach complete with an Azure (or is it turquoise...??? ponder...ponder...) sea, which I defy anybody not to enter. So many things that pleased us...I can't list them all.....but here are the things that are near the top of the list.... The wireless internet..... made staying in touch a doddle... A safe in the dressing room.. The large American-style fridge...endless ice and cooled water - lots of space for beer and wine! The comfiest bed I have ever slept on apart from my own...and I am dead fussy! Taking my clothes and beach things home clean! The weather..SUCH a relief from cold and dreary England. Even though we had showers on a few days, it interrupted our holiday not a jot. The people, the scenery, the flora and the fauna.. But most of all...Roz, who made this the most relaxing holiday we have had for many a year.....I havent stopped smiling, Thank you so much.

Paradise in Paynes Bay

As we had never been to Barbados before, we decided we wanted to be right on the beach, and were relying on the internet description of this apartment, which was 100% accurate, and we automatically felt at home when we arrived. The Mahogany Tree is fabulous! From the moment you arrive and walk out on to the beautiful patio leading onto the beach, you just know you are going to have a wonderful holiday. The master bedroom also leads out on to the patio, so you can lie in bed and just watch the sunrise every morning over the Caribbean sea, on a sumptuous bed that was like sleeping on a cloud. We were impressed with the air-conditioning and fans in all rooms of the apartment and a big bonus were the massive remote controlled awnings that kept the patio shaded all day allowing us to lounge on the beautiful cushioned patio furniture. It was superb to have maid service to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch etc and the 24 hour security staff just cannot do enough for you at any time of day or night. We felt very safe. Paynes Bay is beautiful and within easy reach of all the top restaurants, and we particularly liked The Lone Star and Calabaza where we were lucky enough to get the best ocean front tables in both which were so romantic! The bus stop is close to the apartment, and the busses could not be more frequent about every 3 minutes. The owners agent in Barbados kept checking that there was nothing else they could do to make our stay even more enjoyable, their service was second to none. All in all we felt like pampered VIPs for the week! Just couldn’t have been better. We are now planning a return visit.
