My wife and I have stayed at one of the two cottages for several weeks, for 3 years in a row. The place is just wonderful! It is safe, quiet and charming, a perfect location for enjoying Santa Monica or Los Angeles, and very clean. Deirdre is outstanding and very responsive. This is a terrific place!

My husband and I rented this home for 2 weeks this summer and loved every minute of it. This house is cozy and cute with everything we needed for our stay. The decor is lovely and calming. This house is tucked away so it is quiet, but is also close enough to walk to the beach and downtown Santa Monica. Plenty of parking...which you will find out is hard to come by in this town. We have nothing but the best to say about this place and can't wait to come again.

This accommodation was absolutely wonderful! I have stayed there now on two separate occasions and loved both times. The house is beautifully kept and tucked away in a gorgeous suburb in a convenient location in walking distance from the main Santa Monica area. The house is managed wonderful and the property manager is extremely helpful and easy to contact. This property is HIGHLY recommended.

A charming cottage in a nice quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable. It was nice having Deirdre nearby to help with advice for out-of-towners.

A lovely house and garden in a great part of town. There's lots to walk to, including restaurants, parks and the beach, and it's easy to get to places like UCLA or the Getty. The house is airy, open, and well furnished - we were able to cook and have people over - and the garden was great to hang out in.

A treasure in lovely Santa Monica. The comments on this site are spot on. The cottage was a delight. We felt right at home as soon as we walked thru the door. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you Deidre.

We spent the Christmas holidays here and had a ball/The house was neat, clean and inviting. The owner was great and her two dogs helped us get over missing our own. We hope to stay here again and would recommend it with a big A+.

Nicer than my own house! I didn't want to leave. Was there for 3 weeks working and loved coming back there at the end of the day. Great location, safe, quiet neighborhood, adorable decor, very comfortable & relaxed and fully stocked with anything you might need. I hope I can stay there again.

I've stayed in many vacation rentals around the world and Deirdre's exquisite craftsman cottage was by far the most comfortable, homey and best supplied. My partner and I stayed one month for work and we immediately felt like it was our own home and loved the neigbhourhood. Breakfasts in our private garden area with the Princess tree and jasmine bushes were the perfect start to many enjoyable days.

We felt completely at home the moment we entered the cottage. The decor is so beautiful and inspired us to freshen up our own home. We have a toddler and we felt that it was very safe for her to roam around without having to watch her every move. We spent a lot of time indoors as our daughter was sick for a week and it didn't feel like we were in someone else's house. There is a great park for kids two blocks away and it's very close to grocery stores. We hope to stay again when we next come to Santa Monica. Deirde is lovely and made us feel very welcome.

We had a really nice time living in this house for 10 days. Very clean, cosy and wonderful location! We also got a discount when our flight was delayed and we had to stay a night in NY on our way to LA. That's very nice of you, Deirdre! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a delightful time at this property. Our family of 5, including mom, dad, grandmother and kids 7 and 2, all enjoyed the property and were very comfortable. It is charming, tastefully decorated, and affords much more room, privacy and dining options than any hotel. We look forward to repeat visits.

We stayed at this cottage for a week over the Thanksgiving holiday with our daughter and her boyfriend. Maybe the best summary of our experience would be our daughter's comment: "I want to pack up this cottage and take it back to Berkeley with me!" As an artist and designer I think she really hit it on the head. The house and gardens are incredibly charming and comfortably functional. The four of us really enjoyed our stay. And what a treat of be able to host Thanksgivng dinner for seven people.

Our daughter, son-in-law and 20 month old grandson from New York, stayed with my husband and myself at Dierdre's charming cottage. Being able to have our other daughter, who lives in the area, bring her dog when she visited, was an extra treat. Dierdre could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The cottage was spic and span, with all the amenities one could possibly want. Additionally, the beds are absolutely fabulous !! My husband said they were more comfortable than our own!!!. The area is quiet and peaceful at night and for naps during the day. We felt so safe there that after the initial first day, we didn't even lock our doors during the daytime when we left the cozy cottage. Having laundry facilities 5-6 steps from the back door was an unexpected and a very much appreciated addition. The shower is fantastic with great pressure. Thank you, Dierdre for a dream vacation!!!

We had a great time at Deirdre's cottage. It felt like home away from home. So cozy and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Loved the French country decore. The kids loved the garden and lawn area to run around in. Have already recommended this vacation home to friends. Deirdre was great to have around for questions and ideas on where to go around town. Thank you Deirdre!!! We'll definately be back!!

This delightful, peaceful and well-furnished house is extremely well located near downtown Santa Monica and the beach. It is easily accessible from LAX. We spent a lovely week there without ever, not once, driving on the freeways. We look forward to a return visit.

We've just returned from a fun week in Santa Monica. Deirdre's cottage on Grant Street is a quiet and relaxing place to return at the end of a busy day. Her attention to detail, from her well-equipped kitchen to the decor in this quaint, cozy 1920's cottage is very apparent and appreciated. She has thought of everything. Thanks Deirdre for making us feel at home. David and Rhonda p.s. We had a great time meeting your family. What an enjoyable evening!

My husband Jason, our Basset Hound, Gretel and I had the most wonderul week staying in the back house. Dierdre, the very cool owner, has great taste and did an excellent job preserving the architectural character of this original Craftsman cottage, while at the same time creating a cozy, warm and very comfortable environment. The gardens and yard are also serene, beautiful and private. I could live there is a second and we were truly sad to leave. By the way, nice job Dierdre. You thought of everything to put into that house that one could ever need!
