Featured recently in the New York Times. Absolutely unbelievable location! Right Downtown - minutes from prestigious Sherbrooke street in the French Latin Quarter which borders both the Plateau (rated one of the most hip neighbourhoods to live in in North America) and Old Montreal.

You will see why when you step outside your front door and within minutes you are at any one of the many festivals Montreal hosts throughout the year: International Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs Festival, International Fireworks competition, Fetes Des Neiges, International Film festival etc.

For those attending International Conventions, the convention center is 2 metro stops away or a leisurely walk from the apartment.

This 2 storey turn-of-the-century townhouse-style apartment is 2,200 sq.ft. with exquisite light, high ceilings, 2 large terraces,3 bedrooms + 1 bedroom en suite to the master bedroom for families travelling with children (there are floor to ceiling privacy curtains to screen off this extra bedroom which does have it's own entrance). There are 2 queen beds, 2 double beds & 1 queen sofa bed,2 full bathrooms( both have a shower & a bath).
View the fireworks from the master suite during the International fireworks Festival.

This apartment (L'Atelier)has a colourful history as it was inhabited by Claude Théberge one of Quebec's well known painters over a 15 year period. The apartment has seen dozens of high profile politicians, media people & dozens of colorful characters who attended his many vernissages (art exhibitions) over the years in this apartment where he lived & worked in his atelier under the large skylight on the top floor.

Go no more than five minutes in any direction and you have an abundance of affordable, great restaurants, cafes and chic boutiques. Enjoy the Latin influence on St. Denis street where the sidewalks are alive with color, where people know how to have a good time and be totally relaxed while doing it.

There is a Grocery store across the street and a Food market & Flower market down the street, a great video store around the corner and the transit hub of the entire city Berri-UQAM connecting the 3 major metro lines(green, orange & yellow)taking you anywhere in the city literally in minutes. For easy parking there is an underground parking garage at the National Library on the next corner which charges $9-12 CDN per day or park on the street in front of the apartment free of charge. Also minutes from the airport shuttle service, making this an ideal location for enjoying everything that Montreal has to offer.
Note for larger groups we have another apt.(sleeps up to 6)in the same building (VRBO # 57193).
If stairs are a challenge for you this is not the apartment for you.

Most people, once they discover Montreal, just keep coming back!

Owner's Map of Montreal

I am A New Zealander who was invited to spend Xmas in Montreal almost 30 years ago ... and stayed. That's how great I think Montreal is !
Montreal is a great multi-cultural city, not too large, very safe, laid back & colorful. The food is exceptional & if you are visiting in summer there are endless festivals to keep you busy all summer long.
My husband Ron & I are both Real Estate Brokers who are taking things easy these days.Ron is a self taught painter & loves to paint in his spare time, I am passionate about yoga & gardening.
We both love to travel & our furnished rentals came as a result of a trip to London one year where Ron discovered the convenience & advantages of renting a furnished rental. He came home & convinced me to convert some of our regular rental apartments into furnished apartments.
Montreal may not be the prettiest city in North America but it seems to me that it's the people here that make it such a great city to visit & live in.
