The record ski season at Copper Mountain Resort is over and summer in the Rocky Mountains is here. From Copper Mountain there are bicycle trails for beginners and more advanced riders to Breckenridge, Frisco, Vail, Dillon, and Keystone. There are also numerous trails for all levels of mountain bikers. Summit County offers a free bus system with a stop just steps from Telemark Lodge.
The busses, that will accommodate you and your bicycle, go all over Summit County, including to the popular outlet stores in Silverthorne. The many activities at Copper Mountain within easy walking distance and convenient buses make it easy to spend your vacation without a car.
Copper Mountain has a golf course and athletic center (for a daily charge) that includes swimming and tennis. Starting June 17th, the American Eagle chair lift (three-minute walk from Telemark) will give you a free ride up the mountain to hiking trails and a restaurant. You can rent a mountain bike or scooter, take the lift to the top and ride down the mountain trails back to the village.
The national forest in Summit County offers many hiking and biking trails to mountain passes, lakes, abandoned mining towns, and meadows full of wildflowers. There are also go-carts, miniature golf, and a bungee trampoline jump for kids and daring adults. There is fine and casual dining in the village and weekend entertainment including free movies throughout the summer.
This spacious studio in Telemark Lodge is a three-minute walk to Copper village with its shops and restaurants. It is a sunny corner unit with a sweeping view of copper ski slopes and large windows on two sides. It has a full kitchen and all the comforts of home including 24-inch TV, DVD/VCR/CD player with many discs and tapes, books and games.
The gas fireplace operates easily with the flick of a switch. The Murphy bed folds up to provide ample space for daytime activities. The bunk beds can be shut off from the main room to allow children to go to bed early in a quiet but close location. There is garage parking and an elevator steps away that take you to your unit on the third floor. The indoor hot tub with a great view is right down the hall. It is a fun place to meet other guests. There is also has a lovely lobby with a fireplace. |
