The perfect, private, getaway home-away-from-home. Up on a hill with breathtaking views of the lake and islands, but only minutes away from lake and beach and less than two miles away from Gunstock Mountain for winter and summer activities.
First level is a one-bedroom (with double-size bed and futon) apartment, living room area, full bath, and separate kitchenette! Second floor has gorgeous living room with leather furniture, TV, and wood stove; dining room, working kitchen, and a full front deck overlooking miles of water and mountains.
This floor also has two bedrooms - one with a double-size bed and door to front deck, other bedroom has queen-size bed with door to separate deck in back of the house. The third floor has a large master bedroom with king-size bed, skylight, private deck, and a double-sinked bathroom and walk-in closet.
Lots of space so everyone can be together and still have privacy. Excellent for an extended family vacation any time of the year.

Why the Owner Chose Gilford
We live year-round in the Boston area. We have two sons 21 months apart. When they were young we wanted to go to a vacation spot within 2 hours from home and had 4 seasons of activity.
The Lakes Region has it all - fabulous Lake Winnipesaukee, hiking areas, Gunstock Mountain for skiing. When we decided to buy a house, we needed enough room for them to bring their friends and our relatives from all over the country could come and visit!
The Unique Benefits at this House
So many benefits - the greatest is that there are four bedrooms - plenty of room for extended family to visit and old friends' reunion.

My family enjoyed a fabulous 4th of July weekend at this house. The house is very comfortable, nicely decorated and roomy - the views from the 2 decks are amazing and I loved the master suite with a private deck on the 3rd floor! We ate every meal on the deck and used the grill every night. Lesly was very pleasant and easy to work with - I highly recommend this property. The Gilford Town Beach is lovely, very clean water and nice sand - and it is a smoke free beach.
Recommended for:Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

On the weekend of April 4,2009; I, along with a large group visited this amazing home for a 40th Birthday get-a-way...I must say, ABSOLUTELY the BEST place I have ever visited. Although, the weather wasn't to great we had so much to do while there..The owners thought of everything..right down to games for the younger ones...We enjoyed it soooo much, we are trying to see if we can do it again soon.. We are all checking our calenders...Thank you so very much. A 10 out of 10 for me!!!

We stayed at the house for bike week and it had all the ammenities of home. The house was very spacious, in a great location, with great views of Lake Winnepesake. The owners were there to greet us and made us feel welcome. We look forward to staying there again next year!!
