  Overall we were dissatisfied with our stay at the rental. We had prepaid for 2 months. It's general condition was dirty. The carpets were dirty and the master bathroom leaked, which led to underneath the sink being moldy. The swimming pool was inoperable. The best feature was the property manager was accommodating. We would not book this property again.

  We had a great time at the beach house for the weekend and enjoyed every minute of it! The kids loved the heated pool and enjoyed sitting on the beach around a fire.The view was great! The house was very nice and had everything we needed...towels, linens, dishes, etc! We can't wait to stay here agian. Thanks

  This was a great rental...photos were accurate with the exception of the pool, as was description. Property is located 1st row on beach which made it very convenient for short periods on the beach with toddlers. The descrioption of the pool was a little misleading - it is located on the deck upstairs which was convenient, but it only measures about 6 x 10 ft. and was about 31/2 or 4 ft deep (very small), but it worked well for us since the toddlers were the only ones who used it and they absolutely loved it! Kitchen was well stocked as were the towels...refridgerator needs a new seal around door (if you did not consciously push door closed, items in fridge were not kept cold) and the dishwasher needs new racks (we did not use it at all due to rust covering all of the racks) but otherwise this is a well maintained property. Would have liked rental period to include a "weekend" rather than check-in on Sun. at 4pm and checkout Sat. 11am so that family that lives close could have visited for brief period, but overall ....We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent here again.

  The property description of all new stainless steel appliances was incorrect. The dishwasher was badly corroded inside, the refrigerator handle was missing, both pull out drawers were broken plus it wouldn't seal at the bottom. It took almost 6 hours to reduce the temperature in the home to a reasonable level and the back bedrooms were always warm. The bunkbeds didn't have any rails at the top. The baby crib was totally unsuitable for a small baby because this type is no longer allowed to be sold or used other than in a personal home. The shower door wouldn't close completely and the dvd didn't work. The rug was dirty. The pool was a nice feature. Over all the house was very small but the listing made it sound like it was bigger. When I asked about the baby crib the owner chose to not respond to my question. I still haven't heard about the deposit.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing.

  we had a wonderful time at the beach in this clean, well-appointed home. Having the pool to cool off in after a day on the beach was great. The house was clean and well-kept, although the couch in the living room was very uncomfortable to sit in. Otherwise, the place was quite nice.

  We stayed at this awesome beach house for a week and enjoyed every minute of it!!! The kids loved the pool!! The view was great!! The house was very nice and fully stocked with everything you need...towels, linens, dishes, etc! This is a GREAT place to go enjoy with family and friends! We will definitely go back!!!

  This property was just as described. We did have maintenance problems during our stay and that is the only reason why I marked it as average. However, the owner did send over help during each maintenance issue. And after the fact, she eventually offered a refund on part of our stay. If everything was in working order, I am sure this property would have been an absolute delight. The only thing to mention is that the pool is small and shallow. It was perfect for our boys (minus the heat going out in March) who are 4 and 6 years old. The property was also clean.

  Recommended for: Families with young children.

  Truly loved this home, had a personal feel unlike others we have rented before. The kids loved the pool, had enough space for our group to have alone time with their families and the view was awesome. Everything was in working condition and loved that there were towels and linens already there. Blessings to the Barnekow's, what a pleasure to rent from you!!

  This is a great beach house. We all had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool. The house was very clean and we had plenty of space. The only thing you might do is upgrade you pots and pans they are in poor condition, also a large salad bowl would be great. Hope to stay there again.

  Dear Merilou, our time in your lovely Surfside home was a true joy. You have been more than kind and accomodating. We've had a trying time the last few months, and all that stress just left us and went out with the tide! Our friends were equally impressed. Watching the full moon rise over the Gulf makes you want to fall to your knees and lift up all your praises to our Father because all these wonders are created at his hands. Life willing, we will certainly look forward to the time when we can come back to this little ,peaceful piece of heaven. Thanks for all your encouragement and prayers.
