We spent two weeks in this condo overlooking the Bay Marina. It was clean and comfortable and we had no trouble gaining access to the unit when we arrived. We were there for the Forth of July and the fireworks over the bay, as viewed from our balcony, were spectacular. The furnishings were clean and up to date. It was very comfortable for the two of us. We would not hesitate to recommend this spot to our friends.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

Just stayed at the condo last weekend. It was even better than the pictures! Immaculate! Comfortable king bed and pretty good hide a bed couch. The very best thing is being able to sit on the deck and watch the fishermen going out in the early morning, and drinking coffee!! And just a very short walk to the "action" on the bayfront! Plenty of shopping and dining choices within walking distance, and a city bus service is available. Would definitely stay again!

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Absolutely wonderful condo, the balcony whas where I spent many hours in the afternoon and evening watching the boats and sunset. Loved it especially because it was sheltered from the cool breezes off the ocean. The condo was extremely well maintained, very clean and well stocked. All photos and descriptions were accurate, I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a quiet but interesting vacation, however, if you want the beach you would need to drive just a few minutes, but we didn't. Comfort and convenience in Newport

We spent two weeks in this very clean, comfortable and well stocked condo. The property is exactly as described in the listing and the kitchen is incredibly well stocked. The bay views are fabulous and it's entertaining to see the fishing boats coming and going. This a a nice, quiet location within close walking distance to the historic Bayfront shops, etc. The owners of the condo are very responsive and communicative. I would highly recommend renting this condo!

Recommended for:Sightseeing.

Worth Every Penny!

I stayed here for two nights as a birthday treat and the owners could not have been more accomodating. The unit really has everything you'd need to be comfortable and is in an excellent location. The views of the boat harbor and bridge at sunrise/sunset are amazing. The covered parking is a bonus. Two things to really write home about...the bed was the most comfortable I've ever been in and the water pressure in the shower was fabulous.

We lucked upon this place during a last minute search for a birthday getaway at the coast. The owners could not be more pleasant and helpful and the condo absolutely lives up to the descriptions! Excellent location, excellent views, absolutely comfortable with nearly anything you could need. And this is the first VRBO rental that actually had useful cookware! We like to cook and usually have to improvise quite a bit, even at the nicest of rentals. But this kitchen was wonderful... good pots & pans, utensils, etc and stocked with the necessities. Extra pillows, blankets, and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! I fell in love with this condo and look forward to returning as often as we can! And did I mention how nice the owners are? Oh yeah, I did, but it is worth mentioning again :) Rent this place, you will love it!!

Truly a Special Spot!

We stayed 5 nights in this condo at The Landing in the historic area of Newport and used it as a base for day trips in all directions. It was even nicer than the pictures on VRBO, immaculately clean, fully stocked with kitchen and dining utensils, linens and bath needs. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, listening to the sea lions and watching the fishing vessels as they ventured in and out of the harbor. A trip over to Nye Beach is a must, as is a visit to both Yaquina Head Light and Yaquina Bay Light. We also enjoyed a boat trip with Marine Discovery Tours where we had the adventure of "crossing the bar" ~ quite the hair-raising ride! We were delighted to have the elevator, even though there was a bit of a walk to the actual unit. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The washer/dryer gave us the opportunity to clean and re-pack for the second half of our journey. All in all, this was a great choice.

Super clean, well maintained, great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The cleaning staff is amazing! The photos actually understate the unit. We really enjoyed the lighthouse theme through-out. Lots of restaurants & fish markets close by. The outside grilling pit is something we want to use on our next visit. Coming to this condo was like coming home. It is obvious the owners take great pride in keeping the rental super clean, welcoming, and in good repair. The owners were super easy to deal with. If you are looking for a small private vacation rental with a great view, check this out.

When we arrived the condo was even nicer than we expected. Very spacious with all of the amenities. The owner provided great service and was very friendly. The location was central to all of the Newport activities such as the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Southbeach, lighthouses, etc. Our 2 year old son loved seeing all of the boats outside our balcony. There was no access to the thermostat however, so it got very warm at night. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend!

Owner response:We're glad that they enjoyed the unit but wanted to address the issue of temperature control. There is no thermostat or air conditioner in the unit but in spite of being there on relatively warm, sunny days we have never had problems with it being too warm in the unit. The key is to maintain cross-ventilation between the two sides of the building by keeping the screen door on the deck open for air flow and keeping a bedroom window or the screen door to the front also partially open for air flow. The front screen door is something that we just installed (August 2010) and that really is a nice improvement in allowing lots of fresh, cool air to move through the unit. There is also a large fan in the unit for use if desired. We have also never had a problem with it being too cold in the unit but the gas fireplace does provide the capacity for plenty of warmth if needed. Newport Condo Review

Nice building overlooking the harbor. This condo on 2nd floor and not near the elevator so be prepared for stairs. Like having underground parking. No hot tub. Nice lobby and friendly staff. Internet access a plus. The condo was always warm, in fact at night too warm. Nice area of Newport.

Owner response:We're glad that they liked the unit but wanted to respond to the issue of access. Our unit is on the second floor perhaps 150 feet from the elevator. The walkway between the elevator and our front door is covered so that even in the rain you can stay dry. It is wide and has good railing. Thus, we want to assure people that if they don't want to use the stairs (which are very convenient to our unit) you can easily take the elevator up from the garage and reach our unit on the covered walkway.
