Charming 1940 renovated Cape with high ceilings, exposed wood beams, large country kitchen, wood-burning fireplace and some antique furniture. Our front door is featured on the "Doors of Cape Cod" poster!

Located in the West Falmouth historic district, a scenic 20-minute walk or quick bike ride along West Falmouth Harbor to Chapoquoit Beach (one mile).
Walking distance from the house: A 100-year-old country store (with a great deli, bakery, produce from a local farm, made-to-order pizza, DVD rentals and a large wine selection), an old-fashioned ice-cream shop (summer), the Shining Sea bike path, historic public library with WiFi, antique shops, day spa, hair salon, and a 19th-Century church.
Chapoquoit Beach is on Buzzards Bay, known for great swimming (warm, clean water and gentle waves) and sunsets (the beach faces west). Lifeguards and resident-only parking (renters can buy a weekly parking pass for $60). 1.5 miles to popular Old Silver Beach.
A 10-minute drive to the main street of Falmouth Village for restaurants and shopping. A 15-minute drive to Woods Hole for the Martha's Vineyard ferry and seaside restaurants. Parking lot for Martha's Vineyard ferry shuttles is just five minutes down the road!
The Shining Sea Bicycle Path, a short walk (about 5 min. walk) from our house, runs by Falmouth Village and alongside the seashore, ending in Woods Hole. (Bike rentals available in town.) Horseback-riding stable just five minutes by car.
JULY AND AUG. BEACH PARKING:
Renters may park at Chapoquoit's resident-only parking lot by purchasing a town sticker for $60 per week (less for multiple weeks). There is no charge for walking or biking to the beach. This sticker will work at all Falmouth beaches, including Old Silver's resident parking lot. (Old Silver is divided into public and resident sections.) Stickers are required in July and Aug. only.
HOUSE FEATURES
The first floor of the house features a living room with brick fireplace, new chairs, ceiling fan and dining nook; a large country kitchen with beamed ceiling and breakfast nook; a family room with two couches (new 2007), a window air-conditioning unit and cable TV/DVD in a built-in cabinet; a bedroom with two twin beds and a full bath. Hardwood floors in living room, family room (new 2007) and downstairs bedroom (new 2008). New porcelain-tile floor in kitchen (2009).
The kitchen leads to an outdoor deck with Webber gas grill, large new outdoor wooden dining table, outdoor shower, new chaise lounge and a mostly-fenced backyard with a view of the woods.
The second floor features 4 bedrooms (1 with balcony) and a full bath (adjoining the master bedroom). The spacious master bedroom has a 15-foot vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and ceiling fan, king bed, antique dressing table, and adjoining full bath.
Beds: 1 king, 2 queen, 1 full, 3 twin. All mattresses and bedding just three years old.
The layout of the house is ideal for (non-rowdy) gatherings, with the large kitchen in the middle and the living and family rooms on each side. French doors between the living room and kitchen can be left open or closed. Our house has been very popular with wedding groups.

Please note: We require renters to be at least 25 years of age, unless they are renting with their parents or grandparents.
Day trips: Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Provincetown, Boston (1.25 hours)and Newport, Rhode Island (1 Hour).
