THIS WAS A LONG AWAITED VACATION AND I AM GLAD WE WENT TO FOLLY AND STAYED AT SANDDOLLARS..KARI THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING AND I WAS GRATEFUL FOR THAT. OUR LITTLE YORKIE-POO LOVED THE WALKS ON THE BEACH EVERYDAY WITH DADDY-O..I MUST ADMIT THAT WE HAD THE BEST SEAFOOD EVER AT THE LOCAL RESTAURANTS. WE SAW ZZ TOPS COUSINS SITTING AROUND THEIR RENTAL AND WITH THEIR LITTLE BLOW UP POOL. THEY WERE SO FUNNY.(I CALLED THEM THAT CUZ THEIR BEARDS WERE LIKE ZZ TOPS). THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE ARE THE BEST..GO SEE AMY THE WAITRESS AT THE CRAB SHACK. TELL HER ANGEL AND GARY FROM NJ SAID HI.SHE KNOWS ALOT ABOUT THE ISLAND. THE HOUSE IS VERY CLEAN AND HAS THE BEST SHOWER POWER I HAVE EVER HAD. ITS LIKE THE SALONS, BUT STRONGER..LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO EXPLORE THE OTHER ISLANDS WHILE YOU ARE THERE. BRING YOUR BIKES. THEY HAVE A CUTE LITTLE PARK UPON ENTERING THE ISLAND, NEAR SUBWAY. THIS PARK HAS THE FAMOUS FROG STATUE WITH THE GUITAR IN HIS HANDS. WE TOOK A PICTURE. CUTE....NOW THE HOUSE IS A COTTAGE AND HAS EVERY BIT OF THE COTTAGE FEEL, ALL IN A GOOD WAY. I LOVED THE WALL UNIT..SHABBY SHEEK WITH A TWIST OF COTTAGE. THIS HOUSE IS IN SUCH GOOD SHAPE AND GAVE US A PIECE OF HEAVEN..THANK YOU KARI AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY....KNOWLEDGE IS POWER...GARY AND ANGELINA..PS..TV WAS FINE

This place was truly steps from the beach. I chose this cottage because of the "fenced" backyard available for the dogs. It was perfect for them, but I do take challenge with a boogie board wedged in a corner and being called a complete fence. If my dogs were more prone to wander, they would have found their way out and I would've had to worry each time I let them outside. The space was decent and functioned well enough, but the decor was not up to par. The kitchen is in need of a remodel. I was just really disappointed when comparing the other reviews which complimented the decor. One thing to know is the TV situation. Pray for all sunny days because that was ridiculous. Who has a 13" screen anymore? That was just for watching cable. Worse than that, in order to watch a movie, you must be a certified Time Warner Cable installation technician, stand on your head with your finger in your ear while singing the alphabet song backwards. Underwater. On a separate 9" screen, no lie. Were we on candid camera?

Owner response:Re: The fenced in yard. I am not sure who placed the boogie board in the corner, however I assumed it was someone whom thought this maybe a weak area and to be honest it did not bother me so I left it there. I would like to stress that I do not recommend leaving your pets unsupervised. Re: The TV. It is a 13inch flat screen with basic cable. It is the perfect size for this cottage. Re: The DVD player. It is a seperate TV with a seperate player. Re: The Kitchin. This was totally upgraded when we purchased this home. We wanted to share with others the joy and affordabilty of staying at Folly Beach. Knowing how hard it is to leave your pets at home we choose to stay pet friendly. This cottage is ideal for couples and small families. I keep it neat, clean and tidy and am willing and able to assist with any issues you may have while you are our guest.

MY FAMILY AND I HAVE STAYED AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN THE SUMMER AT THE BEACH FOR THE LAST 13 YEARS AND THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE!!!!!!WE HAVE NEVER STAYED IN THE "PERFECT" HOUSE UNTIL NOW. WE PLAN ON COMING BACK AS LONG AS THE HOME IS AVAILABLE--FROM THE GREAT SCREENED IN PORCH OVERLOOKING THE BEAUTIFUL BACK-YARD, AND THE VERY SHORT STROLL TO THE BEACH, TO THE TASTEFULLY DECORATED HOUSE--WELL, IT JUST DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER!!!THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL VACATION--THE ROGERS FAMILY PIEDMONT,SC

We had a great time at Folly Beach and the Sandollars cottage was lovely. The decor is beautiful, warm and welcoming. We loved the screened porch, back yard and proximity to beach access! We walked all over the island, to town, to the lighthouse, on the beach, on the roads...it was awesome! Your house is great and we loved our stay! Thank you! Suzy, RN

We just rented this cottage and it was fantastic! We had such a great time, and it was the BEST vacation we have taken. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk from the back yard, and it was great being able to bring our dog along. The kids had a fantastic time as well! We loved the back porch, the grill, and the outdoor shower! :) This house was worth every penny and we will be back! :) The McMillan Family

Thank you, Kari! This was the most awesome vacation we have had. Wonderful cottage in a quiet neighborhood. You can tell owners want to make your stay as comfortable as possible, when you find pretty much everything you need inside the house. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone! We will be coming back!

Hi Kari - Received the refund check yesterday - thanks! We really enjoyed our stay & look forward to renting from you again! I fell in love with the house & yard immediately! So tastefully decorated and we appreciated everything being well marked, the phone #'s, brochures,entertainment, etc available for our use. You thought of everything! We have stayed at lots of places along the SC coast but this was the best!! Not only is the cottage charming and comfortable but the yard with its trees and landscaping was an unexpected plus. We can't wait to go back. Ellen and Bob Gate City, Virginia

We've natives of the SC coast, so appreciated the less than congested beach area, which is just across the street from the house. The beach house itself is totally upgraded, so comfortable and accommodating - the fenced yard is a real plus and the screened-in porch w/ceiling fan and lots of seating is much larger than you find on most beach properties. A wonderful vacation!!

This home is a must rent. It is so comfortable and cozey. It is wonderfuly put together. The Porch is a real win.A quite cute place to just relax. I say rent it and enjoy.
