This lakefront property has a large sweeping circular drive entrance with abundant parking and three directional views of beautiful Lake Couchiching. Marvelous and inviting flagstone walkways that connect various and interesting aspects of this gorgeous property. There is a 45 foot dock for boats and sunbathing. AND, located right next to the dock is your very own, private and professionally installed boat launching ramp. No need to go to the marina to put your boat in or take it out at the end of your stay....a luxury that very few vacation properties enjoy.
The beautiful main cottage has two bedrooms. One has one queen and one double bed and the other has one queen bed. There is also a queen size pull out sofa in the living room plus a large secional leather sofa. The spacious living room has a rustic pine wood floor, comfortable seating and a large picture window overlooking the gorgeous Lake Couchiching shorelines. Enjoy the newly installed flat screen TV with surround sound and growing DVD library. Also equipped with and XM DOCKING STATION FOR YOUR EXPRESS XM RECEIVER. A new, gorgeous kitchen and newly renovated bathroom. Step out through the sliding glass doors to a large sun deck enclosed in safety glass railings so as not to impede the outstanding view of the lake. The cottage is fully equipped including fridge, stove, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, Cable TV with VCR/DVD and high speed Internet and a large propane BBQ with propane supplied.

My husband and I stayed at Oak Point Villa with our 3 children, a family friend and her teenager, and both sets of grandparents for a week in early September 2011. Not only that, but we held a small (35 person) wedding on one of the days. The location was AMAZING! In fact, we had rented a tent and decorated it extravagently for the event but our guests preferred to stay down by the fire, or in the lower 'bunkouse' cottage watching the lake, or on the private beach because of the beauty of the location. All of them remarked how beautiful it was and several returned the next day to visit with friends from Rama to show them the property. It was unreal how perfect everything was. Honestly, the pictures here don't even do it justice. The cottage buildings (4 of them) are all in great shape, every thing you could imagine was provided including laundary, a dishwasher and 3 full and modern bathrooms. The decks are glassed in and have spectacular views and the property is well maintained and very scenic. We even found a small dock near the back of the property which was the exact right location for the wedding ceremony. People couldn't believe how beautiful it all was. The property manager was courteous and efficient and there was a very helpful step by step manual on what to do upon preapring to leave (which included extra garbage tags for you to use) We followed the procedures and received our deposit back within days. We have decided to come back next year. The adults loved it and the kids (even the teenagers!) had a great time. Thank you for making our wedding week so beautiful and memorable.

Renter Property Be-Ware Rented property for one week, including deposit for any damages, that you get back after the place is checked for any damages or require more cleaning, the checking in at 4:00pm kind sucks because you already lost a full day, but I guess the normal. Most of sofa beds, in building have issues, some are broken, and few has uncomfortable matters, and for the price you are pay for the full property use, I think the owner should consider fixing these problems. The bunk-house building, the screen windows has holes and insects were coming in at night, so my kids could not use this building, so we end-up putting a tent beside the out-house, I am glad that we brought the tent, otherwise, we would had to fit two or three people on one sofa-bed, which are in bad shape. We were 24 people occupying this cottage, on the day of our leaving, which by the way, check-out at 10:00am, which sucks too, especially when you have 13 kids to wake-up, have breakfast and get-dressed and leave by 10:00am, unbelievable. Anyway, the catch is, the night before leaving cottage, our 4 wife’s, cleaned for about 4 hours, then on the day of our leaving cleaned for about 3 hours starting at 7:00am in morning to make-sure everything is cleaned as promised, as per contract. All garbage taken out, the place was spotless. They cleaned it, more than normal, I even told my wife, she should stop, that was too much, but no, she insisted that place, should be spotless. After, we left the cottage, few days later we should have got our full deposit of back, instead, we got partial of the money back, the property manager said that the place was not cleaned enough, I could not believe this, meanwhile, I made a promise to this property manager that I would rent this property every year, around the same time. property manager, sends me a list of cleaning issues. This is what my wife e-mailed to property manager – Please advise me with regards to the necessary cleaning required and why were charged a cleaning fee. We (four women) spent a total of 5 hours cleaning all the cottages (3 hours night before and two in the morning). All dishes were cleaned and put back into cupboards, all garbage's were taken out and new bags put back inside, all surfaces were washed or windexed, all windows were windexed, .etc. My advice to you, when you finish cleaning, make sure that you do not leave until the PM shows-up on site to inspect, and also, make-sure you put that in contract.
Owner response:It is most unfortunate that this guest had some complaints about our property. Regarding check in and out times, this is agreed to by the guest well in advance of them taking occupany of the property. We are at a loss to understand why they would accept this condition before they take possession of the property but then express their dissatisfaction about it afterwards. We apologize for the faulty screen in the bunkie. We appreciate this being brought to our attention so that we could affect proper repair. With respect to cleaning, we have always given our guests the option to clean the property before they leave. If they choose not to, it is clearly written in the property rental agreement that we will deduct the cost of cleaning from their deposit. This, of course, was agreed to by the guest in advance. Strangely, they objected to it afterwards. We have seldom deducted a cleaning fee from our guests' deposits. However, in spite of the fact that this guest insisted they cleaned the cottages before checking out, we found the property to be in need of extensive cleaning after they left. Although we reduced the cleaning bill charged to the guest by 50%, it seemed impossible to satisfy their demands of a full refund of their deposit. We make every effort to ensure that our guests have a positive vacation experience. It is very important to us that guest leave with the intention of coming back and telling their friends about our lovely property on Lake Couchiching. Our guest book is filled with comments from guests who have expressed their complete satisfaction and enjoyment with being at our property for their vacation. We will continue to make every effort to ensure that all of our guests have the best vacation experience available.

We had our families totalling 12 people staying at beautiful Oak Point last week. It was a very enjoyable time together with enough space for everyone to do their own thing and then come together for meals and social time. All of the accomodations were very comfortable. The sunsets are stunning indeed. The AV systems are remarkable. The privacy is excellent with the feeling of being on an island. The dock and the water "toys" got a big time workout by all of the family members but especially the children. The whole week was most enjoyable. Thanks.
