Thank you so much for the beautiful place to spend time in Hawaii. We were stranded and looking for an affordable place really close to the beach. It was better location than the place we were suppose to have stayed at. Again thank you for everything. The place is very charming!

Our third night there we dicovered about 10 bugs in the kitchen area and in the bathroom. We were there the last part of August 2011. We were disappointed, some of the dishes were not clean. Bed was comfortable. The balcony was not very nice. The pictures make it look better than it actually was. Not doing Seashore again. For sure!

Owner response:Thanks to comments from guest, we were alerted of pest problem which has and will continue to be treated professionaly. This is a daily, weekly, and monthly rental with no real long term stays, so this should not be an issue. Unfortunately, we were not notified of their discomfort to address it until after they left from a four night stay. Guest are responsible to clean the dishes just as they would at their own home, so it is unfortunate that some dirty dishes were found. We will remind guest of this in the future. Balcony has city views and listed, and this guest may have been looking for an ocean view which is clearly not listed on this site. If we are notified of any problems we address them promptly. August 2010 my daughter and I wanted a place close to the beach with a kitchen and parking, and this was just fine. It is small and cozy, and for the money it was perfect. Location is excellent, about a 90 second walk to the "main" Waikiki Beach area where the statue is. A/C worked well. I'm going to guesstimate it's about 300 square feet total. Parking was great to have! Like they say, you DO want a compact car if you're going to park in the garage (we had a smaller midsize and it was ok, barely). The kitchenette is very tiny and pretty basic... no oven OR toaster oven (so can't bake anything like garlic bread or frozen pizza), no dishwasher (but nice size sink). But it had a blender for smoothies, good microwave, 2-slice toaster for eggos, small george foreman griller, normal size fridge/freezer (and they had ice already made for us), nice little pantry area (with some staples like sugar, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, season salt), 4 skillets / pots with lids, a dual burner stovetop, decent selection of cooking and eating utensils (although only 2 or 3 forks, but that's okay we bought/used plastic stuff and paper plates and bowls to minimize cleanup time). The bathroom is very small, with a half-size tub so you'll just use it for a shower. Good water pressure, plenty of hot water day or night. There is no fan on/off per se, but like a lot of hotels it has some sort of vent that seems to constantly draw air, even after a long hot shower it wasn't very foggy. They had a 4 drawer dresser plus a closet next to the bed, so very little floor space but we managed fine for 2 people. The second bed is a small fold out which requires moving the small dining table out of the way, fine for my teenager. Both beds are comfortable. Ample linens and towels are included. The lanai is a great place to let stuff hang/dry overnight on plastic hangers hooked onto the two chairs so they don't blow away... we never needed to use the laundry. TV with cable, plus a half-dozen DVDs. (There's a Redbox $1 DVD rental kiosk plus a DVD library at Food pantry 3 blocks away.) Wireless internet was very nice to have! The unit comes with a surf board, but it's a 'short board' far too small for a beginner to use in Waikiki. I left 2 masks and snorkels there, so hopefully those will still be there if you stay. Highly recommended, but I hope they add a toaster oven.

Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Location! Location! Location! You are in the heart of Waikiki - steps away from surfing, great shows, and great food. Apartments are clean and the kitchens completely serviceable.

thanks so much for a great place to stay! i loved that it was only one block from the beach and near great places to eat and shop. the DVR was my favorite, b/c i felt like i was at home.....there were plenty of towels and it was nice and cozy. i would highly recommended the place and the owners were great to work with. i'd stay there again....thanks again for making my vacation that much better.

Aloha all, I wanted to personally let you know that I have stayed in the condo just to see what likes and dislikes I would have and what a potential guest would have. Well, I added some things like digital cable, digital telephone services, so you can make free long distances calls. I also upgraded from DSL to Road Runner. The unit has all the comforts of home and I think its pretty set. Of course we welcome all your suggestions, but I am sure you will love it.. Oh, one more thing, we added a little welcome basket for each guest when they arrive, filled with Hawaiian coffee and goodies.
