Sunriver Location: 12 Backwoods Lane is ideally located just a two minute walk across Abbott Drive to the Sunriver Village Mall, and the SHARC Aquatic & Rec Center is a short 5 minute bike ride. There is an extensive common area of open lodgepole pine forest on two sides of the home that provides privacy.
SHARC Facility: The new Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center is a short walk or bike ride away and year-round access is included with your booking. We provide 6 passes to the SHARC facility with all bookings.
Attention to Quality: As owner-managers we are focused on quality. Living a short 15 minutes away from Sunriver in Bend, we are able to oversee the condition of our properties and check on our homes between guests. This ensures that maintenance items have been addressed and the home is prepared for your arrival. We are willing to pay slightly more for our housekeeping service because they consistently meet our standard of quality.
Living Area: This attractive, quality furnished, 1100 sq ft home has a cabin ambiance. The living and dining area feature exposed beams and a vaulted cedar tongue and groove ceiling. Upper windows along the ridge provide an openness to the beauty of the outdoors. The gas fireplace adds warmth in the winter, while the central air conditioning will be appreciated on those warm summer days. There is a 32 inch LCD TV with cable, DVD, stereo with CD player and ipod dock, and Wi-Fi high speed internet access.
Kitchen & Dining: The kitchen is open to the living and dining areas. The dining room table provides seating for 6, and the breakfast bar has additional seating for 2. From the dining area there is direct access through a sliding glass door to the deck with outdoor furnishings and gas BBQ. The kitchen is fully supplied with commonly used cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and silverware. Attention to detail includes fresh coffee beans and a grinder for those who enjoy a cup or two to start the morning.
Bedrooms & Baths: The master suite has a king bed with private bath, while the second bedroom provides a queen bed and set of bunks with hall bath nearby. Both bedrooms have LCD TVs with DVDs. A double hide-a-bed is located in the living area. In the baths you will find a selection of upgraded starter toiletries that includes shampoo and soap, as well as a hair dryer.

Deck & Hot Tub: Through the sliding glass door off the dining area is a large deck with patio furnishings, hot tub for 5, and gas barbecue.
Parking & Bikes: The home includes a double garage for parking out of the weather, with additional parking on the large, paved drive. Four adult cruiser bikes and a Burley 2-child bike trailer are provided.

Sunriver Resort: Sunriver is located on the east slopes of the Cascade Mountains in the heart of central Oregon's recreational paradise. This popular, world-class resort has extensive bike paths, three 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, parks, and shopping center with a variety of shops and restaurants. Mt Bachelor ski area is just 20 minutes away, along with the Cascade Lakes recreational area and nearby High Desert Museum & Lava Lands Visitors Center.
Pets Allowed, No Smoking: Pets are allowed with $15/night per pet fee.

We arrived in the middle of one of Central Oregon's rare but substantial Summer thunderstorms! I was soaked before I even reched the front door 20 feet from our Suburban! As is normal--15 minutes later we were greeted with sunshine and unloaded our vehicle in to a wonderful home away from home for the next four nights. As VRBO homeowners ourselves on the Mckenzie River, we checked out the home with a critical eye. I have to say it exceeded everything we had hoped for. The home is ideally located just a short two minute walk from The Village, and 5 minutes by bicycle to the new SHARC waterpark. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and felt very comfortable knowing our 7,9, and 12 year old were just a 60 second sprint away in case of emergency ;^) I summary, and with a bit of hesitation as we hope to rent again soon...I would highly recomend this home! Loved the cabin decor and high beams. It was great to wake up and let in all that natural light. Located close enough to all the activities we wanted to enjoy. Rcommend a trip to the High Desert Museum just minutes north off HWY 97. Beds were very comfortable, the hot tub was an added bonus after a long day. The only little complaint was there was a pile of soiled paper towels left on the fire place that had coffee grounds in them that spilled all over the floor(not sure why it was there and not in trash) and the music was blaring upon our arrival. Sadly we did not do our homework upon arrival and didn't know we had access to the garage or that there were even bikes to ride until we were checking out. We so would have taken advantage of them. Next time for sure. So with a few very minor things we had a wonderful stay, and hope to come back again. Another conference in October or maybe just for fun, I wanted to stay longer is was so beautiful during our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cabin. My family has been visiting Sunriver for over 25 years, and by far, your vacation home is one of the best for location, comfort and interior design. Our two year old daughter continued to call your home the "new house" while sleeping in the "new bed," which was the bottom bunk. This house met all our ski weekend vacation needs for a family with two teenagers. The house was clean, roomy, and the kitchen was VERY well stocked (including a crockpot, electric griddle, plenty of dishes, utensils, etc.) The hot tub was very clean. We would have used the garage except we had a rooftop ski box on the car. We will rent here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and I and our daughter and her husband were able to stay in this wonderful home before Christmas. It was just perfect for us! We loved the great location and the warm woodsy feel. The fireplace was so nice to turn on and enjoy after our days of skiing and everything was clean and well maintained. We loved the hot tub and bar be cue also! We would love to come back and would definitely recommend this home to others. The owners were great to work with. This is our first stay in Backwoods 12 in, we think, 14 years. We love this place and all the improvements that have been done. We outgrew it for a number of years.
