The Buffalo House is a marvelous home, set right on the slopes above Teton Village, yet screened by pines; the Gros Ventre Range above, the steady, epic gaze of mountains all around. Buffalo House is spacious, large enough for an extended family gathering or an executive retreat. Seven bedrooms – two of them master suites – and eight-and-a-half bathrooms will comfortably sleep fourteen people, and many more can come for dinner, meetings or screenings in the private home theater.
The seven ‘guest’ rooms all have private baths, flat-screen televisions and walk-in closets. Three have fireplaces and most have private decks. The larger of the master suites has a fireplace, flat-screen TV, private deck, exterior entrance, large walk-in closet, jetted soaking tub, steam room, double-headed shower. A short flight of stairs leads from the suite to a spacious, well-equipped loft office with two desks. A separate guest/nanny suite - ample, light-filled and roomy even so - has a king-size bed, entertainment center, large sitting area, kitchen, walk-in closet and a washer and dryer.
The kitchen is a delight to use; everything is of the highest quality and design. A six-burner Thermador range, two Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezers, and a large, granite-topped center island mean that there is enough space and functionality to host a very large group. The Great Room, with its arched cathedral ceiling, has a wet bar and sink, entertainment center, big stone fireplace and a dining room that can seat ten. A wide deck wraps around the room on two sides, and the magnificent views of the Gros Ventre Range make using the gas grill or just sitting in the teak chairs a remarkable experience in itself.
This is not to forget the 1500-square foot conference center and home theater, with its state-of-the-art projection system and 8 foot screen. Stone fireplace, enormous, comfortable couch, surround sound. The conference center, which can accommodate up to 30 people, is equipped with internet and Ethernet service, dedicated fax and high-speed printer, teleconferencing, power point, and eight conference tables.
Designed in true Western vernacular, the Buffalo House is a fabulous haven, where your group can be as plugged-in, or as unplugged, as they wish |
