Fantastic vacation spot

We stayed here in July 2011. I have spent many holidays in St. Augustine and I usually stay at a hotel just down the street from Eve's web. This year we were looking for something a little more like home away from home...And we found it!! We were the only visitors for the weekend so we had the hot tub to ourselves. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and the scenery around the house is so pretty. The only complaint we was bugs. Bring some bug spray cause the mosquitoes will eat you alive. Other than that it is the best place to stay in St. Aug. The price is the best you will find. Whether you stay upstairs or down there is plenty of space for your family. We stayed in the upstairs but it will be hard to choose next time because the hot tub is on the downstairs patio!

This guest house is ideal for a getaway. The hot tub over looking the garden was the perfect place to get comfortable and prepared for a calm and beautiful visit. The description of the place made us look forward to the house, but we didn't know we'd fall in love with the place! Both the upper and lower rental spaces were beautiful, each with their own unique qualities. We walked and biked to the beach, explored the nearby beach access, and the nearby nature preserve. We biked and drove the close distance to St. Augustine, and felt just at home and glad to be back to the rental after touring the incredible historic downtown and fine dining (twice at the Floridian Restaurant, too good to go just once). The rate was fabulous! We can't wait to bring family and friends back to this location to rent! A new tradition! Only thing we missed was getting to make an appointment for a massage by the rental owner, but you have to keep at least one thing to look forward to the next time!

Our stay, April, '11

We spent 5 nights here in early April and found it the perfect antidote to city life in London. My two girls loved the spacious feel of the upstairs apartment, enjoyed swinging in the hammock on the balcony and wallowing in the hot tub. Being only minutes away (by foot) from the beach was wonderful and having a playground minutes away was much appreciated by the girls (2 and 5). St Augustine was full of character and we went on a fascinating eco boat tour. Above all, Susan and Gilda were the most welcoming of hosts. It felt like home from home - thank you, from all of us.

This was our second visit and loved it even more than the first time. My family of four spent Thanksgiving and we felt just like were at home (except the beach is a few steps away!). Owners were as kind as can be and we highly recommend Eve's hideaway.

The pictures of Eve's Web cannot begin to depict what you feel when you are there. The unique and tranquil atmosphere cannot be duplicated and is pure joy to behold. The furnishings are cozy, comfortable and eclectic. Rustic, yet refined. The Hostesses, Susan and Gilda will make you feel like part of the family as they welcome you and share any informaton that you are seeking. Once you stay here, you will want to return again and again! I highly recommend it. it is a treasure!

Serene Sanctuary - my favorite "home away from home"

I've stayed at Eve's Web retreat about 5 times in just over a year, because my grandchildren moved to the area. I've brought extended family, with kids ranging from 3 months old to 25 years, and my mother. It's just lovely, always welcoming and peaceful. It's a perfect homey and comfortable place for my grandkids to think of as "Grandma's house" for our visits. The sheltering trees, the birds and once an inquistive raccoon peering in the window, are always a delight for folks of all ages. We walk to the nearby park and to the beach, relax in the hot tub, cook out on the grill. We've stayed both upstairs and downstairs, and loved both floors, yet I'm especially fond of the upstairs deck in the tree canopy. I also highly recommend Gilda's healing touch and renewing massages.

Great Getaway & Hideaway

Great Getaway! So quiet and private. Very comfortable, beautiful, and homey. Great for romantic getaway, families, teens, seniors, reunions, or seniors. Bathroom downstairs a little small, but worked fine. Not on beach or water, a few blocks away. Close to much of the popular sight seeing and great restaurants. Loved the privacy, felt like we were in world all by ourselves, which is what we needed. Would love to come back and rent the upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs is perfect for kids or teens. Plenty of room to keep from falling over each other. Nice kitchens, beautiful bathroom upstairs. The owners are very accommodating. Susan is awesome! Would recommend this vacation spot to anyone!
