Peaceful Roost is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This secluded, two-story, guest house has three bedrooms and 1250 square feet of living space. Located on half acre, guests can enjoy water views of the cove from the second floor open dining/living area balcony, or the first floor master bedroom, or at the private picnic table (see picture) out back.
With a private boat slip out your back door, and a public boat ramp and quiet parks just around the corner, Peaceful Roost is the perfect location for family and friends to gather. You can enjoy a nice view and easy access to the lake without being awakened early in the morning by loud speed boats.
The lake is a long and pretty lake with many coves to explore. From the lake house you can boat East to the Wirtz Dam, or South to Horseshoe Bay, or go North to Kingsland then go West and explore the Llano River. If you do not have a boat or personal watercraft, you can rent one locally.
The quaint town of Marble Falls is five minutes away, with shopping, movies and restaurants, HEB (grocery), and Wal-Mart.

LOCATION: Granite Shoals in the middle of the stunning Texas Hill Country is only 60 miles and 55 minutes from the Austin airport, 90 miles and 90 minutes north of San Antonio and about 200 miles and a four hours drive South from Dallas/Fort Worth and West Northwest of Houston.

The seclusion of this property made our stay much more enjoyable. Being the last house in the cove made it so private. Yet, within minutes you can be on the lake for any water acitivity. The view out the back of the house, upstairs and down, was just awesome. When first arriving we were pleasantly surprised at how roomy it was and all of the amenities that is difficult to depict in pictures. The available games, books and DVD/VCR tapes were well used by the children. Not just the children had fun though, the adults enjoyed the brain teaser gadgets hanging on the wall. The property was very clean and well-maintained. Huge bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs and having the washer/dryer closet made laundering nice. Absolutely loved the huge picnic table and chairs on the upper deck. We spent alot of our time in that area, even during a rain shower. We caught more fish from the bank of the property than were caught on the lake or cove from a boat. We will definitly come back to the Peaceful Roost for another stay and would surely recommend this property to anyone whose looking for just a peaceful and calm stay or looking for an activity filled stay.

Our family had a wonderful week at Peaceful Roost. The house was very comfortable and well supplied with nice towels, linens and kitchen utensils. The bathrooms were spacious and we loved the huge selection of movies to watch on the big screen TV after a long day on the lake. Our kids enjoyed watching the many deer in the area and were also pleased to spot a gray fox visiting in the evenings. The lake was beautiful and so much fun. We also spent an afternoon at nearby LBJ ranch and learned so much. The house is in close proximity to H.E.B. so it was easy to stock up and cook all week. We would gladly recommend this home to friends and family and hope to return ourselves soon.

Peaceful Roost was a great value compared to other houses on the highland lakes. Great access to the lake. Nice deck/porch for enjoying the day. We would stay here again.

My family just enjoyed 5 nights at the Peaceful Roost and none of us were ready to come home. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We had every thing we needed and more. (There were even floats and swim noodles in the closet.) We were able to catch catfish right off the boat slip, and the location of the house on Lake LBJ was perfect for us. We could take the boat and go skiing, swimming, and exploring any time we wanted. We were even able to go to dinner in the boat because Storm's in Kingsland has a dock. The house is also just a short drive from attractions like Longhorn Caverns and The Slab. Our son had fun in the paddle boat, feeding the geese, and watching the many deer that came through the yard every day. He also enjoyed the toys and games the house had to offer. This was by far the best vacation spot we have found. We can't wait to come back again next year!

Our family stayed at Peaceful Roost last October, and we are returning for another stay in March. For basically the price of a hotel room, it is roomy and comfortable and has a beautiful kitchen (even granite countertop!) It is on a quiet, very lovely part of the lake. We saw deer just a few feet from the back door, and there were ducks in the lake. We had a wonderful vacation.

The house was just as we expected and more. Had we known the kitchen and baths would so well stocked, we would not have brought so much with us, but in the end it saved us a trip to the grocery store. Seems like everything was well thought out on behalf of the guest. The house and lot worked out well for our party of three families. The house was secluded but easily accessable. See you next year!
