We have rented several houses in Montecito over the past 10 years and this was certainly one of the best. Very sunny and cheerful and a great location which is convenient for many things - restaurants, shops, access to beaches and hiking trails and easy access to downtown Santa Barbara as well. We would gladly recommend it to others.

A fabulous vacation!!

Our family of five (2 parents, 2 kids (age 8 and 10) and 1 grandparent) stayed for 7 nights at Estancia in December 2011. We have rented homes at least 13 times all over the country and this was one of our favorites. Our kids loved the following: the hot tub, the back door to the park and the flannel sheets. Our moms loved the home's lovely gardens and the beautiful decor. My husband and I loved the proximity to the Upper Village, the ability to let the kids roam safely and the wonderful cocktail hours on the patio. In our opinion, the pictures very accurately reflected the home... the interior was actually larger than we expected. It was super clean and fresh upon our arrival. The owners, Claudio and Sabine, could not have been more helpful. The propane on the outdoor space heater ran out and Claudio had it replaced within hours. We would highly recommend this home... it is especially great for families.

Montecito Estancia Retreat - Tranquil Setting

This was my first "VRBO" experience and it was everything that I had hoped for....and more! Shortly after arriving, Sabine came over to make certain everything was to my liking. The Estancia is in an excellent location in Montecito and so close to Santa Barbara. I took a short 5 minute walk to Montecito Village and had a delicious Italian dinner! Their home is located close to a nice park, shopping, restaurants and the beach. I was looking for some down time and this was the perfect place! I am already planning my next visit to the Estancia.All in all, a well-appointed and maintained home; great location; attentive owners who want to make your stay the best it can possibly be! I will be returning soon!! Thank you Sabine & Claudio.

Montecito Estancia

We really enjoyed our stay at the Estancia in Montecito. The location could not be better and the entire lay-out really worked well for us. The only thing I would suggest is the the owner invest in all new linens, towels and pillows. We would recommend this place to our friends. It was a wonderful vacation!

Estancia Fan

This was our second stay at Estancia - that should say it all! We spent 5 days here after Christmas 2010, and we loved it so much we returned here for another 5 days for our son's UCSB graduation this past June. "Style & Charm" really sum up the Estancia experience. Classic Santa Barbara style, beautiful, spacious and peaceful gardens and patios, charming decor throughout the house. One has the feeling of being on a private estate. It was the perfect spot for an outdoor, laid-back graduation celebration. And, if you care to venture out (which you may not!), Montecito Upper Village with wonderful restaurants and shops is right around the corner. There's also a beautiful mission-style Catholic Church about a half-mile down the road, where we enjoyed the peaceful morning masses. Claudio is next door if you need him, but respects your privacy. We'll be back!

Montecito Birthday Celebration

Claudio & Sabine are awesome. Their home is warm, comfortable, clean and easy. We stayed a few days in celebration of our sons birthday and in the process forged a life-long memory. The hot tub reminded us of the Millennium Biltmore Spa, very sweet! Thanks, for your hospitality and sharing your lovely home with us. We returned to our own home well rested and relaxed, the classic sign of a great vacation.

We had a wonderful time at the Montecito Estancia in November with our adult children! We found the house and patios warm and inviting and Claudio and Sabine left us tips for seeing the surrounding area. The kitchen was great for cooking our early Thanksgiving dinner. We would love to visit again!

Dear Pollero's, Thanks for giving us the oppurtunity to rent beautiful quiet place. We loved seeing the hummingbirds in the garden and the running rabbits in the back. Great. And the fruittrees. We made a bbq and fire in the night every day and slept well in the really really dark/quiet area. Montecito is a kind of place we like to live. Lot of space in/around the houses and friendly people everywhere and only 8 min drive from Santa Barbara. Perfect. Your master bedroom is really nice. We did not want to leave and hope to be back another year. Thanks from 2 seniors and 2 adults with a child of 2yrs. He loved running in the garden with the rented toy car from Santa Barbara baby company.

My family enjoyed a great stay at Claudio and Sabine's. The house is wonderful - beautiful to look at, well-maintained with all the conveniences of home - a real advantage when traveling with little ones. My four year old loved the big garden with its trampoline and climbing structure and was very excited about the gate into the park behind - or what he called the secret garden ... Parents and grandparents were well served too by Sabine's warm welcome, a well-equipped kitchen, closeness to Santa Barbara and its many attractions, and of course the hot tub once all kids were finally asleep. We are already planning our return trip!

… 5 star all the way! So happy to celebrate 20 years of marriage in such a surreal setting… a great gift to give that special someone. Loved listening to the birds and sipping morning coffee with the fountain running in the background; the Jacuzzi was great and the gardens were magnificent. The close proximity to the shops, restaurants and beaches were an added bonus. We’d recommend taking advantage of the San Ysidro Ranch one mile away (dinner was a divine splurge and the pool was spectacular). Took a drive to Stage Coach Tavern for an awesome breakfast (old stage coach stop 1800’s log cabin, 20 minutes away). Rented bikes on the boardwalk and rode to State Street and the Mission. Recommended eats in Montecito …Sakana, (great sushi) and Jeannine’s (yummy breakfast). Trying to find an excuse to return.

A dreamhouse

My husband, I and our two little girls have been on a USA trip from Switzerland for 4 months this year. We stayed in many different houses all over california, in very nice houses, but the house of Sabine and Claudio was by far the nicest, we absolutely loved it. It is more beautiful than the pictures on the internet (we told them to make new pictures!). We stepped into the house and immediately felt at home. It is cozy, modern, very clean, and has an absolutely gorgeous master bedroom and bathroom. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens, lots of places to relax and hang out, has a jacuzzi and a trampolin for kids, just fantastic. Behind the garden is a "magic garden", meaning a huge park, we couldn't believe it. The house is totally quiet, the only noise you hear are the birds and the ocean wind. The owners are there when you need them, however, they are very discreet. We would recommend this house to everybody, couples who seek romance, older people, young people, people with kids, it just has a great spirit. We want to go back!

Spanish Oasis

We came as a multi generation family here for just a short visit, but we sure recharged our batteries within our time frame thanks to the quiet and lovely retreat. This is really a jewel, lots of style, very clean, super quiet and spacious. Santa Barbara is only a 3 minute car distance away and if you don't feel like driving then walk a 5 minute distance to the town of Montecito, which is very cute and has several great restaurants. We'll be back here!!!

We had the best time staying here last year. We were there in July and got perfect weather. The house is beautiful with a great garden. We have smaller children who loved the hot tub, the swingset, the park behind the house and the garden, including the fountain. We are hoping to visit again this year and making it an annual getaway.

Relaxing Family Time in Montecito

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, well maintained home on Pimiento Lane. Design and furnishings appealed to urban sensibilities but also spacious and comfortable for our active family of five. We took full advantage of the amenities...the trampoline, the hot tub, the park next door, even the chimney on the odd cool evening! We appreciated the input on restaurants and beaches as well. We would definately stay again.
