Staying at Moose Manor was fantastic! Loved every minute. The cleanliness is impecable. The views are magnificent! The scenery in the back yard is so relaxing and tranquil. I would definitely recommend this home as a vacation home. I have visited in the Spring, Summer and Winter. Every season has something to offer and you can enjoy each one fully in this home. I loved waking up to see 6 deer in the back yard. How peaceful. The accomodations are so comfortable! I will definitely be back . Next year can't come soon enough!

I love staying at Moose Manor!!! What a tranquil setting. I have visited in winter and spring and summer and have thuroughly enjoyed those beautiful, breathtaking mountain views. The huge picture window in the upper level is so enjoyable to look out of and enjoy. The deck and deck furniture was more than accomodating and comfortable. I loved waking up in the beautiful bedroom of the lower level and seeing 6 deer roaming the back yard. Lots of blooming trees in the Spring make the surroundings outside even more beautiful at that time of year. The inside is always clean ( I am the pickiest person when it comes to cleanliness). It feels very homey and comfortable. I can't wait to go back! Next year can't come soon enough!!
Owner response:Glad you enjoyed your stay! Please come again!!

It is such a pleasant atmosphere. You just want to sit and relax and look at those beautiful mountains. Perfect place for any event. If it is summer the deck is amazing, if it is winter, sit by the fireplace and look out the large picture window. Pictures do not do it justice. Great place!
Owner response:Thank you for your response. Glad you enjoyed our beautiful home!

Moose Manor is a great retreat to hide away in and get away from the stresses of life. It sits up on a mountain just a few minutes south of Franklin and offers great views and a very comfortable feeling. There is a master bedroom upstairs with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. This room has a TV. A bathroom joins this room with another sitting room also with a TV and a futon that our kids slept on. Also upstairs is an open living room with a pullout couch and dining table off of the kitchen. There is also a fireplace in the living room but we didn’t need to use it. This area offers great views of the mountains and trees from the many windows. You walk right out to a huge deck with a gas grill and an outside table – another nice place to eat or take in the surroundings. From this deck you can descend to the lower deck that has a porch swing and a hammock. This deck descends down to the beautifully landscaped back yard with an area for two wooden lounge chairs with umbrella, a manmade creek like water feature and a gazebo at the bottom. My children loved to play out there and look for bugs and just enjoy themselves being outside. The lower level of the house is like a separate suite of its own. Just down the staircase from the living room is the washer and dryer behind closet doors and beyond that is a room with a queen bed another TV and a desk and sitting area and its own bathroom. The view from this bedroom is like looking out from the bottom deck. Beyond the bathroom is a small room with a foosball table and some other games. There are many doors in this house which makes for a great flow. There were plenty of places for the family to be together and many places you could get away from everyone and just be alone reading, relaxing or hiding if you happened to be playing a game of hide and seek! Franklin is close to many things like the Dillard House family style southern restaurant – just south in Dillard GA, Great Smokey Mountain Railroad, Highlands & Cashiers where we had lunch and visited friends, many waterfalls, Cherokee, NC, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, tubing down Deep Creek and the Nantahala Outdoor Center for white water rafting. Oh - I almost forgot the gem mining in Franklin. There are several places to do this and our kids loved it. Once you get down the mountain, it takes just a few minutes to get to grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants. Moose Manor is a lovely retreat that puts you in the middle of

Moose Manor is a wonderful peaceful place to vacation. The cabin was well equiped with great decks for looking at the great view and wonderful landscaped back yard. Easy drives to Bryson City for tubing, Highlands for shopping, Cashiers for waterfalls and swimming holes. Also great golf in Franklin and surrounding towns. We also did gem mining for the grandkids and they had a blast. I highly recommend this cabin for for next family get away.
Owner response:Glad you enjoyed our place! We love to hear what the families did on their vacation!!

First the property owner was very responsive. Email communication was answered timely, in most cases within 30 minutes. The property is about a 5 minute drive to town and I eventually figured out the two routes either taking me downtown or outside of town. That was nice once I figured it out. There was not a TV in the den and to me that made it a place to do things outside of television. I took my two sons and 3 other boys and we played a lot of cards and chess. There are two bedrooms upstairs with a bath inbetween and that set up worked well for the 4 boys to stay upstairs. I have a 7 year old and he stayed downstairs with me, while the older ones were upstairs. The downstairs was nice because it was like its own retreat. It had a recliner and a TV as well as a great triple window right next to the bed. Laundry and a full bath were also downstairs. The furniture was very comfortable and their was nice and ample seating for all of us on the decks when we went outside. The home was clean and there were plenty of linens available. We spent a day visiting waterfalls in the area and also ate at a great place downtain (Motor Company Grill), which I would highly recommend. I will say it was one of the best trips I have taken in a long time. Thanks again to the property owners for making their home available.
Owner response:Sounds like you enjoyed your family time. That's what Moose Manor is about!!

Our family had a great time!!! The first couple of days it rained very hard so we played dominos, scrabble, and yahtzee! We took your advice & checked out the fun factory. It was a hit with all of us including the steak in the restaurant inside!!!! We visited Tallulah Falls State Park & ate at Fat Buddies barbeque in Franklin! I fed the birds & sat in the gazeebo & we all enjoyed the two porches. Thanks for sharing!!!

Moose Manor was perfect for our two families. We had everything we needed ... way beyond our expectations. The views from both decks are amazing and the yard is precious. The house is in Franklin, NC which is in the middle of everything. We went Gem mining at Cherokee Mines, white water rafting down the Nantahala, climbing up and down waterfalls and even went to Tallula Gorge. All these things within 45 minutes. Loved the folk music on the square too. You can even drive to Cherokee's casino if you'd like. Would definitely stay again.

Our family stayed here for the week following Christmas 2007. We had a wonderful time. We especially enjoyed the snow fall from the balcony. They provided everything that we needed for a wonderful stay. The bed in the master was so comfortable. We really wanted to take it home with us. There was enough room for everyone in our family to have their own space. This is especially important with teenagers. Also,it has easy access which is important to us. We would visit again. Our vacation stay in November 2006 was one of the best vacations of our life. Moose Manor provided the best relaxing atmosphere that we have experienced in many years. The view from the upper deck is breathtaking. You have all the amenities of your own home in a cabin setting. The backyard gazebo with its waterfall allows you to spend hours - like minutes have just passed. The surrounding area provides you with scenic waterfalls, hidden wonders in nature, and river rafting if that's your desire. Viewing God's wonder from Moose Manor was a dream come true. We would recommend this stay and hope to return ourselves on a regular basis. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Our experience at Moose Manor was great. The house had plenty of room for the eight of us to be together, and yet there were plenty of places to go if you wanted a little privacy or quiet. It is centrally located to all of the fun places to go and things to do. We really liked the wrap around porchs and found ourselves there often. Especially in the morning listening to the birds and sipping on a cup of coffee. We are already talking about going back next year.

Our family stayed in Moose Manor for 3 days in June 2006. It was easy to find, yet out of the way and very quiet...just what we wanted. The house is immaculate and beautifully appointed. We are familiar with the Franklin area, and found that it is close to everything we like to do. We would definately stay there again. Very roomy for our family of five, so we were not on top of each other. Two couples would also be comfortable, with one queen bedroom downstairs and one king bedroom upstairs. Each of the large bedrooms has it's own bath. There are several fold-outs to accomodate children. Couldn't have been happier.
