This full log cabin cottage is very clean and cozy, and in the words of one of our past guests, "it's so cute, you could eat it with a spoon".
Our cottage accommodates a maximum of 6 occupants in two bedrooms plus a fully enclosed front porch with twin bed. There's one bath, a full kitchen and living/dining area with cable TV, DVD/VHS and stereo. The cottage is carpeted throughout and has a natural gas furnace. The backyard offers a gas grill under a covered open air back porch, a picnic table w/ umbrella and a firepit. The cottage is available from April 1 till November 1.
Our cottage is conveniently located 10 minutes south of downtown Gaylord, MI on all-sports Otsego Lake in the private beachfront association of Arbutus Beach. There is a limited view of the lake just 60 yards from the cabin. The beach is ideal for children with its warm, shallow, sandy bottom. If you have a small boat, you may pull it up on the beach or anchor in water next to the dock provided you arrange that with us at the time of reservation.
Gaylord is known as the “Golf Mecca of the Midwest”. More than 25 golf courses are within a 5-45 minute drive, including Treetops, Michaywe, Hidden Valley, The Natural, Marsh Ridge, and many more.
No matter what season you visit, you'll always find something fun to do in this beautiful location.

Memorial Day - Labor Day: $650/week
Spring/Fall Seasons: $550/week
$100 per week upcharge for Memorial Day, 4th of July, Alpenfest, Labor Day
$25 per person daily surcharge for unauthorized excess guests and visitors.
Rentals extend from Saturday to Saturday.
Security Deposit: $100 additional at time of reservation.
Security deposit returned within 2 wks if no damage or violation of rental policy.
50% deposit required to confirm reservation. No smoking and no pets please!

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
Having our own private, sandy beach and dock (for association residents only) just 60 yards from our cabin makes this the perfect getaway for families and couples.
The neighbors are friendly, the golf and recreation are fantastic, and virtually outside our door. Just 10 minutes away, downtown Gaylord has all the shops and services of a larger town, including Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, Kohl's, Meijer, and Glen's Market. There's always something going on, from the Farmer's Market, to craft and antique shows, music festivals, fairs, and air shows.
Our location is central to a half dozen ideal tourism destinations, with none more than 20 minutes to an hour's drive away.
Boyne Falls: 20 minutes
Charlevoix: 45 minutes
Harbor Springs/Petoskey: 45 minutes
Traverse City: 50 minutes
Mackinac Island: 50 minutes
We can get in our car and within 1 hour be on a boat for Mackinac Island, spend a long day there, and drive back in time for Margarita's on the beach, a steak on the grill, small bonfire in the firepit, and then kick back and read or watch sports on TV.
The air is fresh, the weather seems to cooperate more often than not, and afternoon naps are so restorative, you don't realize how much you've needed them. Within minutes of arriving, your worries and troubles just melt away.
Marsh Ridge is just one mile north of our cottage on US-27. Beautiful course, tough play with plenty of thicket. Jac's Restaurant/Bar serves quick lunches, and dinner. Sunday breakfast.
The Loon Golf Course is just one mile away from our cabin. Pristine with gorgeous fairways.
The Mountain Lakes and Michaywe Pines Golf Courses are just 3 miles away. Pristine, elevated views, greens are very nice, best value for the money.
Relaxed ambience, delicious food and full bar service just 3 minutes away. Looking for something nice, but affordable? You can't go wrong here.
Country/Western themed restaurant and bar, live bands, dance floor, pool. Just 3 minutes away. Decent steaks, good portions, friendly crowd.
Since 1919, The Sugar Bowl has been a classic downtown restaurant and bar. Families welcome. Fantastic breakfast, lunches and dinner. Excellent service.
Great watering hole for locals. Motorcycle clubs, trivia night, karaoke, live music, pool tables. Good burgers, excellent perch dinners on Friday nights. Sports on TV.
Gorgeous, pristine, tucked away. Undulating greens can be a nightmare. Beautiful outdoor patio for sandwiches and bar service. Nice restaurant. 8 miles from our cabin, but worth the drive.
Nice course, good prices. 10 minute drive around the lake from our cabin.

Enjoyed our stay. The cottage is not located on the lake but a short walk down the street to the beach. Great place to relax and enjoy a sunset. Cabin was warm, was well stocked and had all the cooking and eating equipment that was promised. The beds were comfortable. We were greeted by a friendly note from the proprietor. There are enough beds and adequate living area for a family. I recommend this rental

Mark- Thanks for letting us rent your cabin for the week! Our family had a wonderful stay and enjoyed lots of great family time together. My daughter especially loved sleeping in the bunk bed. The weather was cool but it didn't bother our kids at all.

I wanted to let you know how CLEAN your cabin is. I stay in about 4-5 different places each summer and none were as immaculate as yours. You keep your cabin so nice and we really had a great week!
