MANY JULY/AUGUST WEEKS STILL AVAILABLE

Our family friendly year round single family home can make your vacation memories come true, whether during the beautiful & busy summer season or the relaxing quiet off-season. Centrally located in the middle of Cape Cod, you are near everything you would want or need on your vacation, whether you are looking for quiet relaxation, golf, beaches, biking trails, shopping, great restaurants, outdoor activities, etc.

The Ocean and Bay Beaches of Yarmouth & Dennis are a short drive away, or take a longer ride to one of the beautiful National Seashore Beaches that can be explored year round or swimming in summer months. You also have the ability staying at our home to take a short walk to explore more of the Cape's natural beauty in/around Follin’s Pond, Kelley's Bay which are at the end of Bass River. Summertime adds more options on Bass River and other venues like fishing, crabbing, or other water involved activities. With boat access rights on Bass River, your boat has access via Bass River to Nantucket Sound.

Walk the quiet family neighborhood streets and you will find you are on a peninsula that juts into Bass River, and is surrounded by salt water ponds and bays. The neighborhood entrance gives you a spectacular view of a large area of cranberry bogs. It's a nice walk or around the neighborhood.

Shopping is one of the most popular vacation pastimes no matter what time of year you visit. You will find contemporary malls and many downtown specialty gift shops, antique shops and many outlet stores. You are centrally located in Mid Cape, but you can find all of the above once from Cape Cod Canal Area all the way to the tip of Provincetown, and don't forget Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Sports range from fishing, boating, whale watching, biking, golf (regular and miniature) and many other sports related activities, again weather and seasonal availability may be a consideration when planning your trip.

If you like baseball, one of the great traditions of summer on the Cape is the Cape Cod Baseball League. It has been the premier amateur baseball league in the nation since 1885. There are at least ten teams and all have the most talented college players on their roster.

The Dennis-Yarmouth Red Sox’s home field is in Yarmouth, and the games are free! Search on the net for the Yarmouth-Dennis or YD Red Sox; as it will explain it better. There are currently 183 former Cape Cod players in the Major Leagues including some of the current & former Boston Red Sox players. The Y-D Red Sox home field is about 2.5 miles from our home and under a 10 minute car ride. Games have been free to all in past years.
(See Cape Cod Baseball Website for more info.)

So there are many places to go, see, explore, many sports to play or watch. Do not forget day trips to Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, P-Town or exploring the National Seashore in from Chatham up to P-Town and don't forget whale watching! Then there is the restaurants that cover every gambit of cuisine, from fancy to family friendly to cafe type to train dinner or lunch trips, but you can never go wrong with fresh Cape Cod seafood; It’s the best!

Do your homework; Check out the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce or the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce websites. There is also a site for "Kids on the Cape" that will give you much more info as well for family activities and the National Seashore/Parks websites for more info than you need!

Our home has just about everything you need to be as comfortable as you are at your home. The house is big enough that parents and children can have their quiet times without ever feeling crowded, and multiple cable TV's allow for different TV viewing interests. We now have wireless internet if you need to be in touch with the office, friends or want to Google for Cape restaurants or activities. It also helps the kids that bring down their Wiis or PSPs. We only have a Nintendo 64, so take that into you planning .... or not parents.

The side yard just begs for a seasonal wiffle ball tournament! Our home is big enough for one large or extended family, two smaller families or for up to three couples. We also have rented to many small groups and couples who want a nice quiet residential neighborhood as their home base.

Come stay with us and experience a wonderful memory of wonderful Cape Cod!

Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2004

Hi, My name is Beth. That's me on the far left with mostly my siblings. This home has been in my family since the 60's. Mom & Dad passed and in 2003, my husband and 3 boys purchased this home from my other siblings. Rentals keep it financially an option for us, but I must admit I go overboard selling my love of the Cape to other. It is so beautifle and calming here - especially near Bass River. The location is perfect for any day trip or just to hang at local beaches, gold courses, etc. There is EVEN enough for my 3 teenage boys and their friends to want to keep coming to the Cape as I did so many years ago.

Don't let the traffic and multiple number of tourists scare you. We are located in a quiet residential area, but close to where your family and friends want to be. Our home has been just about fully renovated in the late few years - inside and out. Email me and I will share my info and passion of the Cape whether it be summer or - my favorite off season!

Thanks, The Noonan-Hill Family

Why the Owner Chose Bass River

This was my family home and this house and Cape Cod is in my blood. It's almost the only place I mentally can get away from it all, but still get to civilization when I want to; good restaurants, good shopping, good sports, etc.

My main love is seeing the Cape and its different seasons, spelling the salt air, seeing the cranberry harvest, and enjoying the natural beauty of the National Seashore parks and beaches.

I really relax here like no other place close to home and with so much varity to offer all.

    • Comfortable home and perfect location! We stayed for a long week-end and loved it -- far better than any hotel. Beautiful area in a lovely neighborhood yet close to everything.. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway. Loved walking around the river area and the cranberry bogs. Even went fishing on the salt water river; Wish I brought my boat. Next time! We would love to book this again.
