Beach Front Condo: Any Closer and You Would Be in the Ocean
- Minimum stay:3-7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Paradise on the ocean - your own personal space right on the seven mile beach where every room is ocean front! We remember the first time we saw this condominium. We were visiting Grand Cayman, and went to a real estate agent on a whim. She showed us this condominium first. There are beach front/ocean front condos, and then there are beach front/ocean front condos. Condos can front on the ocean, or they can be corner units with ocean on two sides. This condo is the end unit of a 'U' shaped complex, so three sides are ocean front! Every room has great views; there are acres of green landscaping with coconut trees and a pool right on the ocean. It was just perfect; we fell in love and bought it. This was over a decade ago, and our family has vacationed there every year since then.
Why pay for a hotel suite when you can have your very own private condominium with full kitchen for less? Bring your entire family, or share it with another couple. There are two bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom attached. One has a king-size bed, the other has two twins, which can be combined into a king. The cozy living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa, so you can comfortably sleep six people. The kitchen and bathrooms are newly renovated with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Our property manager is available 24 hours, seven days a week. The center of Georgetown is less than a mile away, a leisurely 15-20 minute walk. Great restaurants, shopping and grocery stores are an easy walk - the famed Wharf restaurant is only five minutes, and a grocery store is only ten minutes away. You can also rent a car, but do not have to. Call a taxi by phone and it will be there in minutes. Buses also run on the main street 200 yards away from the condominium.
The 3-story condominium complex sits on seven beautiful, recently re-landscaped acres. The 54 condominiums are set in a ‘U’ around the pool and its emerald green necklace (the lawns and landscaping). Although there are two floorplans, all the condos are essentially the same size. The six condominiums at the ends of the ‘U’ are truly ocean front (not just part of an oceanfront complex). Ours is one of the six (the only one offered on this website); it is on the second floor which guarantees panoramic ocean views without the heat of the sun beating down on the ceiling. Beach towels are in the condo for you. For your peace of mind, our condominium rental unit is annually inspected and licensed by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. For your health, our condo is non-smoking.
So play in the ocean. Go snorkeling right off the beach. Fish from a rock outcropping on the beach, and barbeque your catch on any of the many shared grills. Swim in the ocean or the sparkling sun-warmed pool (the water is usually around 80 degrees). Walk the acres of landscaped greenery in the courtyard. Go diving with any of several wonderful diving operators who will pick you up from the condominium. Share a drink with your loved ones on the balcony, and enjoy the sun as it sets into the ocean. Best of all, sit in any room in the condominium and relax while watching the ocean, knowing that you are experiencing something priceless.

Just returned from 6 wonderful days in Grand Cayman at Bart's condo. The location is ideal and the snorkeling out front is amazing! There's a shipwreck just down the beach to the left (an easy swim). The morning we left our daughter and her friend saw tons of fish, including a barracuda, stingray and lobster. The views from the balcony are beautiful, the location is perfect and the condo was just right for our family. Our biggest recommendation is to skip the big boats our to StingRay City and try to book a trip out there with Captain Crosby. Wonderful, relaxing...it was just the 5 of us and he hoisted the sail and brought out his guitar for the ride back to shore. He even drove us over to a lunch place and had lunch with us. Great guy!! The Wharf restaurant is a fun, but quite expensive and a bit over rated. I think I'd go to the Ritz for a really good dinner if I was to spend that much again. The restaurants right near the condo are really good too! Thanks Bart!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/7

We had a wonderful holiday in this fabulous condo. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and the view from the terrace is just wonderful. We chose to stay in for dinner most evenings to enjoy the sunset, finding it so convenient to cook in the lovely, well-equipped kitchen, with the large fridge and ice maker meaning we also had plenty of cool drinks to enjoy in the sun. The Kirk supermarket is an easy 10 minute walk away (towards George Town) and the liquor store is also a short walk from the condo. We didn't hire a car as we didn't need to finding we could get to most places we wished to visit either by walking or taking the mini buses which go up and down the 7 mile beach stretch every ten minutes costing CI$2 or US$2.50 per person. We enjoyed the condo, the pool and the snorkelling at George Town Villas so much that we were really happy to stay on site for much of the holiday just relaxing and watching the wild iguanas. This specific condo is in the prime location - right at the end overlooking the ocean - and it seemed to us that the George Town Villas complex is quieter and less crowded than many of the other condo options. In addition to the snorkelling at George Town Villas, we would recommend snorkelling at both Cemetery Beach and at Eden Rock. We would also recommend the Sunday Brunch at XQs (a short walk away) and at Luca's half way up Seven Mile Beach.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

Four of us ventured forth from Minnesota and Wisconsin to the warmth of Grand Cayman for seven days at the end of March 2013 and stayed at George Town Villas. The condo was essentially spotless and all amenities were either new, nearly new or in excellent condition. The condo is very nicely furnished in all rooms; however the dining room table was primarily used for storing daily items not dining, as we had most meals out on the balcony/deck. The king size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and shower was quite spacious and all tiled. The view from the condo is either due west out to sea, or northwesterly up the coast line. There is little sandy beach at GTV, instead it is primarily rocky at water’s edge with a ladder to climb down into the water, but there is a long sandy stretch below the protective wall that extends across the edge of GTV with lounging chairs. GTV is one if not the only complex along 7 Mile that has a vast open green space between the buildings and the pool area. The pool is well maintained with plenty of chairs, tables and lounge chairs and every evening the security guard re-arranges all the furniture around the pool so each morning all is ready for the new day. GTV is about a 15-20 minute walk to the south to Kirk’s Grocery. Kirk’s is a very clean and friendly grocery, with just about everything one would need. That evening I found a small Black Beard’s liquor store was about 3-5 minute walk to the north from condo, and another 5 minutes further north. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance (15-25 minutes) each direction, with small shopping areas in between. So GTV is in a good location. We used buses as much as possible. It appeared most fares were $2 Cayman/$2.50 U.S., whether going to GT or up to Turtle Farm or to Public Beach at Governor’s. We did take a sailing trip to Sting Ray city on SunRayTours’ catamaran. The captain and crew are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Sting Ray City is a must, and with a smaller group it is more intimate. We also visited the Turtle Farm but only did the exhibit share of tour, $16 U.S., or so. A lot of turtles, amazing to see so many of the big greens at once. In summary; GTV is a well maintained, secure and a well located complex. It is off the road a bit and quiet, yet easy to walk out to catch the bus or walk to things.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Our stay (March 23-30) in Dr. Bart’s condo at Georgetown Villas (GTV) was great! When we arrived on Saturday afternoon via taxi we found the condo clean, large, well equipped and a great view. The sounds and views of the waves crashing on the beach and watching the sunset were relaxing and beautiful after a day of travel. We had dinner on the deck and watched the sunset! The next morning the view of the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) was quite impressive. (We like boats and ships.) The pool was WARM, clear, and never crowded. After a warm day in Georgetown, we hit the pool right away when we arrived “home”. GTV is walking distance to a large grocery store and many places to dine; one night we walked to Royal Palms. We used the bus to go into Georgetown, The Turtle Farm and the Public Beach near the Governor’s Mansion. We also used SunraysTours to go to Sting Ray City and they picked up us. I highly recommend SunraysTours, the crew is GREAT! GTV is not crowded as some of the resorts we have experience…where you have to get a towel on the chair early in the morning. We are snorkelers and were a little disappointed with the unusually high winds that deterred us from snorkeling; we gave it a try a couple times but the water was cloudy from the turbulence caused by the wind. I want to try it another year with hope the wind speed will be less. In a few words, GTV is quiet, nice, clean, great location with a great view. We spent time on the deck enjoying the warm weather and view, and also the places to see on the Seven Mile Beach side of the island. Last year eight of us stayed a week in a house, Great Escape, at Rum Point.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

This is a great location and affords a great experience in every way. The condo is within walking distance of downtown and a number of good spots in between, such as restaurants and the local well-stocked market. The condo itself is beautifully appointed and was in top condition. The views from the veranda are spectacular. The grounds and pool are also nicely maintained. Overall rating A+.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

We just came back from 2 weeks of Island living! The condo is beautiful and has everything one needs. We had 4 people in the unit which easily accomodated us and let us have our space. The sunset view is spectacular from the balcony or sitting by the pool! The gas grill was an added bonus and we used several times while there. It was nice having the beach towels so that we did not have to pack. The washer/dryer was nice to have available and used several times during our two week stay. The grounds keeper, Emillio, is wonderful!! The whole complex is quiet and people are all friendly. We rented a car for only one day to explore rum point, but the remainder of the vacation used the bus system which are small vans. They are easy to flag down and cost $2.50 US or $2.00 CI, per person, which was a huge savings. If you are out by the large tree close to the parking lot as you walk from the unit to Snooze lane; look up in the tree. A big white owl has taken up residents. It was fun to walk by every day and take a peak. Pictures turned out amazing! Also, a big shout out to the Living the Dreams Dive team! They are a top notch group and know their stuff!! Thank you for the opportunity to rent the home. We would highly recommend this condo and will be looking forward to returning in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Perfect location overlooking the sea--beautiful views from the balcony where we enjoyed painting and reading while our daughter and her husband snorkeled right from the beach in front of the condo. Good restaurants and liquor store within two blocks and an excellent supermarket within walking distance for the fit and a short drive for the rest of us. Condo is nicely furnished and well-equipped--provided beach towels a plus. Enjoyed grilling fresh fish from the fish market on the gas grill by the pool.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Thank you so much for this opportunity! The condo is beautiful, the pool and grounds, stunning but most of all our breakfasts on the lanai and the aqua colored ocean is the BEST! We walked around the corner of a rocky area every morning to the expanse of 7-mile beach in front of us. Walking and jumping in the ocean up and down the beach was pure perfection! The use of cell phone, a nice addition. The Internet wasn't as good with Skyping, but the service otherwise was great. We love Cayman! Leaving in 2 days is NOT going to be a happy day ;( Frank and ConnieRecommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Seven Mile Beach:
This is a lovely condo, right on the ocean. It is our private cabana on the ocean. There are several condos in this complex available for rent, including on VRBO. Even among those considered beachfront, ours has the best location, being right on the beach and the ocean. Every room has an oceanview.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
There is wonderful access to everything since it is close to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and town. There is no condo on Seven Mile Beach closer to the ocean than our condo. Unlike most condo complexes with little greenery on the ocean, we have a large garden right on the ocean.
