Javea, Moraira and Denia Area villa description
Designed to reflect the ambience of Denia’s Raisin Baron era this luxurious, three bedroom, three bathroom villa makes an impressive statement. The large master bedroom is elegantly appointed with rich fabrics and period antiques and has a romantic Roman style en-suite bath. The private balcony commands a spectacular view of the Mediterranean and former raisin terraces where guests can sip evening cocktails. The other two vaulted ceiling bedrooms are equally spacious, one twin bedded with en-suite shower room and one double with large en-suite bath. All bedrooms have a sea and poolside views.
A grand baronial fireplace is the focal point of the comfortable lounge area. A separate circular dining room with seating for eight leads on to a stylish, fully fitted American style kitchen. A silk draped veranda with table and chairs overlooks the Roman ended swimming pool and lounge area. To one side is a large built in barbecue area. Privacy is secured by a hand hewn natural stonewall.
The villa is located one and a half kilometers from the nearest Blue Flag beach and two kilometers from the historic town centre and Denia Marina. A full-time gardener impeccably grooms the lush tropical grounds spread over four walled terraces. The pool is professionally maintained weekly. A gated car terrace provides secure off road parking. The world class Denia Marina is coming to world prominence with numerous offshore races viewable.
Having its own fishing fleet, Denia is noted for its fine seafood restaurants and steak houses. The property is sadly not suitable for wheelchair visitors. The quaint popular town of Javea is ten minutes drive over the scenic Montgo Mountain. Denia is noted for having the most festivals in Spain. A complete festival chart will be provided.

What a lovely vacation!
What a lovely vacation!
We stayed at the villa for a week in June 2014 and it was a magnificent stay. From the moment when we first arrived, the homeowners were gracious hosts. They gave us details about the area and showed us everything we needed in the house. We were celebrating my partners's 60th birthday and they even gave her a gift which was so thoughtful. The home and pool area are very comfortable and well designed. The location is ideal and the views of the ocean are breathtaking. It was a perfect house in a perfect Spanish seaside city. My only regret is that we did not have a longer stay. We will not make that mistake the next time. My dream is to stay at least a month!

Beautiful home and pool area
We had a great time in this beautiful home! The pool was amazing and we enjoyed many mornings and late afternoon swims. The view of the ocean was perfect! The location to visit many beaches in the area worked out fine. Alex and Roberta had lots of information to help make our stay wonderful. Be sure to eat at Mana's on the water. Amazing food and great views. Thank you!

Great villa, great hosts
Great villa, great hosts
Like Mexico, the press about Spain in the US is way overblown. Never felt unsafe or like the economy was about to blow up and that everybody was unemployed. The house was spotless. We ate out a lot, but the kitchen was fully equipped for those interested in staying in. AC, which we used at night in the master, and SKY satellite TV worked fine. Denia and nearby Xabia were good sized, but not so big as to lose the relaxation we were after following a more hectic schedule in Madrid and Barcelona. Both towns had big, well stocked supermarkets. Rented beach chairs and a palapa in Xabia some days, played golf at the nearby Marriott resort (E75 with cart). Xabia has a bunch of restaurants steps off the beach. Alicante was a nice day trip / drive down the coast to a larger city. If you rent a car, get an automatic since it's a steep descent to the villa’s gated car port and parking is tricky; I would not have wanted to tackle it with a manual transmission. If you need internet, bring a laptop and Roberta can provide a USB stick. For I-Pads without a plan, you'll have to find wifi in town. In our case, I changed the I-Phone plan to add int'l texts and data before we left and removed those features when we returned. Some places ask if you want the bill in euros or dollars. There is 3% tacked on to convert to dollars, whereas many US credit cards only charge 1% so you are better off paying in euros with a 1% card. If we’d stayed longer than six nights, I would have put the car on the ferry to Ibiza and done a couple nights there as well. Denia is the closest mainland port to Ibiza and the car ferry took about five hours as I recall.

After a delightful week in May 2012 we would say that Robertta and Alex have created a comfortable, peaceful, and delightful place for a holiday. The house was even more lovely than the web site pictures and it was very clean. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, only walk in shower is rather small; the other two have large tubs with hand held showers. We opened the windows and let the breezes blow, and it can be very windty. Pool is lovely and the views spectacular! Definitely not suitable for handicap guests, lots of steps outside and inside the house. Felt very safe in the house and in the town. The washing machine is in the kitchen, no dryer but you can easily dry clothes outside on a portable hanging unit. Tip on the washer! SLAM the door and it works fine! :) Dishwaser was a breeze to use.Plenty of hot water and water pressuer everywhere in the house. We flew into Barcalona and drove to Denia and I think you would really need a car here. You can walk to the beach about a mile away and the little town is about 2 miles away. If you walk or drive to the beach, at the bottom of the hill at the first roundabout do a hard right turn and you can drive car down to some parking. There is a great restaurant on this stretch as well, has it's own parking and the food is good, service is very good. The Cafe Clima in downtown Denia across from the yacht basin is a great little Wi-Fi location and the food is good as well. Had lunch there a couple of times. Don't miss the open air fresh food market on Friday mornings! AWESOME! There is a small fresh fish market near Cafe Clima but pricing is high, over 48 Euros for a kilo of heads on shrimp. Only thing we found missing in the house was a cork screw! Plenty of towels, extra blankets, evensupplies for the BBQ. No Wi FI in the house which is a bit of a bother. But we like to cook using local produce and foods so nothing else was missing, had all we needed. I would return in a heart beat! One of the most relaxing and peaceful vacations ever and middle of May brought total sunshine, strong breezes, and good memories.Robertta and Alex did everything they could to make our booking, arrival, and departure easy including shopping for initial food supplies for our first breakfast! Hugs to them both!! Hope to go back soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Manager response: We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and yes, May is the best month to enjoy the fresh sea breezes. A few notes for future guests: A) Please do not slam the washing machine door! Hold the latch and close as normal. It works fine. B) Price of prawns/shrimp. Our guest was referring to the famous Denia Red Prawn - which is prized around the gastronomic world. In April a local restaurant won the coveted International Cocina Creativa de la Gamba Roja de Denia with his spectacular presentation of this delicacy. Denia has its own fishing fleet and auction house and is a fantastic experience for visitors to see. Also, another local restaurant was recently named among the Top 40 Restaurants in the world. C) WIFI – We do offer an internet modem stick, pay as you go, for villa guests. Our visitors found the local café´s and the marina so delightful with free wifi that they chose not to use our service. D) The missing corkscrew has been replaced.
Great Place! Lot of room and very clean. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and we plan to visit again.

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Denia. Close to everything but in a quiet residential location. Alex and Roberta couldn't have been nicer or more accommadating.

We enjoyed this wonderful villa the last week of August 2008. Everything you read about the villa, Roberta and Alex and Denia are true and better then expected. The home was clean and comfortable, everything we needed and wanted, including a tour from Alex. No problems what so ever. We rented a car and that was a must! Visit Javia it is beautiful and Valencia is worth the trip. Also, went to the Tomatina, what a trip! Our son is studying in Bilbao, Spain so it was a vacation for him too. We snorkeled, scuba, ate a lot and relaxed! We highly recommend this villa! Feel free to email me with any questions.

We stayed here in early August 08. We absolutely loved the house. It was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and everything works!! Everything was just like the photos on this site. The pool is awesome along with all the outdoor area for BBQ'ing, eating outside and lounging by the pool. We had cars and I would recommend anyone staying here have a car. The town has everything you need and Roberta and Alex can help direct you where you need to go. Roberta and Alex are a charm to work with. Very nice reputable people. We felt this house was a great find and our Spanish friends were in heaven the whole time we were there. I hope to return someday!!!
