Location: Captain John Fripp Villas, Fripp Island, Low Country & Resort Islands, South Carolina, USA

Accommodations:  Villa, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 4-6)

Keywords:  Villa

Our Oceanfront villa is located steps from the island's best beach, and convenient to many island amenities. Sip your morning coffee or evening cocktail on the patio as you enjoy the peaceful sounds of the Atlantic ocean, right outside your door. Enjoy spectacular ocean front views from the kitchen and living area and master bedroom. Most importantly, unlike most Fripp Properties, if that ocean view makes you feel compelled to walk out onto the beach, you can do so in just a few steps.

Our villa has recently been remodeled throughout and provides guests with all the comforts of home. There is a full kitchen, laundry, dining area, living room and 1/2 bath on ground level. Upstairs are a master bedroom with king sized bed, a second bedroom with two twin beds and two full baths. The living room couch is a sleeper sofa. As our guest, you have access to the swimming pool used only by the residents of our condo association.

Amenity cards are available for purchase. The amenities include several pools, golf, tennis, all on-island dining, nature programs, children's activities, bike rentals, a marina and more.

All of Fripp Island is a private, gated community near Beaufort, South Carolina. Only residents and guests have access. We have no high rises to spoil the natural beauty of the low country, so wildlife is very abundant here! Our island is home to egrets, herons, pelicans, osprey, turtles, and many friendly deer. Dolphins play in the waters that surround the island.

Explore our island by golf cart, bicycle, scooter, or perhaps a leisurely walk along one of the many nature paths. For more adventure, explore the island inlets by kayak, wave runner, or a pontoon cruise. Throw a fishing line or crab net into our salt water creeks or inlets. Links Magazine has recently named Fripp Island Resort one of the "100 Best Golf Resorts in North America."

Tennis lovers will enjoy both clay and hard courts, just across the street from our villa. Clinics and daily drills are available. You can be as busy as you like or choose to do nothing but relax and enjoy the beautiful beach, right outside your door.

Of course, if all of this nature and relaxation get to be too much, there are several day trip options! Just across the bridge from Fripp is Hunting Island State Park. Historic Beaufort, Savannah and Charleston are all easy day visits. Just over an hour away, in Bluffton, are enough outlet stores and upscale shopping, to please even the most serious shopper.

Our families have enjoyed vacations on Fripp Island for many years. We are excited to offer this experience to others. Have we tempted you?

Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2003

This villa is co-owned by two families, who had five children between them. Those children are now teenagers and young adults.

Why the Owner Chose Captain John Fripp Villas

Our families had vacationed at Fripp and found it a very special experience. Some of the children learned to ride bikes here, and all of us have enjoyed safely bicycling wherever we wanted on Fripps pathways and private roads. And of course there were the golf cart/nature viewing rides around the island. We wanted to continue to enjoy vacations at Fripp Island and to be able to make the same opportunity available for others.

The Unique Benefits of this Villa

Our beachfront location, where unlike other parts of the island we have beach during high and low tide is the perfect spot. We have sat and visited with grandparents on the patio while watching the little ones play a few steps away in the sand, and enjoyed the sounds of the waves and the cooling ocean breezes while relaxing in the evening over a glass of wine. Because of the way our patio is situated it has a good deal of privacy, yet we enjoy proximity to many things. Within steps you can cross over to the beach, or you can walk to the regime pool. If you are on the amenity card program, the Fripp Island Beach Club, and island "hub" with restaurants, pools, entertainment are less than a five minute walk away.

Our first time at Fripp - we truly love it. We have converted to Fripp from Hilton Head - especially if you want a relaxing, no pressure, back to nature, easy experience. . . .Ocean view was great - thanks for offering your place to people who want to spend a week or so in paradise. Hope to be back in 2011.

We've had a wonderful vacation. We saw shrimp boats just outside the door, pelicans, alligator and deer everywhere. The private patio was very nice. We sat out there in the evenings and watched the stars. The adult pool was an added bonus. We have truly enjoyed Fripp Island. Hope to bring the whole family next year. Deanna, South Carolina

Our stay at Fripp was entirely too short! The weather was perfect. We did encounter rain on the last day. However, the rainbow that followed was gorgeous. We met a delightful full time elderly couple that gave us a tour on their golf cart. A morning shopping trip to the outlets at Hilton Head and an afternoon drive to Magnolia Gardens were also highlights to our short week of fun on Fripp. The deer, herons, alligators and other wildlife gave us a true natural adventure - as did the evening at the park on Hunting Island.

Hi! My name is Allie and I am 11 years old and it is my first time to Fripp Island. This was an amazing vacation! I came with my sister, my dad, and Hope. We had a great time at the beach and in the pool. We found so many deer and 3 alligators. I also went to Savannah, GA, it is the most haunted city in America, or at least one of them! The island was amazing too, and we fed the deer. We had a very fun time and the beautiful condo made it even more wonderful, thanks!

We have been coming to Fripp for many years, stayed in villas and rented homes for our family. It continues to be one of my favorite places to go! The beach, the ocean, and of course the deer. Our first evening there were eight of them and each evening they returned. Your villa is lovely! We try to visit in May and October - two beautiful months. Thank you for sharing with us.

Comments entered from Guestbook: When we arrived at the villa, only one word comes to mind - Paradise. The ocean, broad white beach, and many deer on our doorstep. We've roamed all over the island and have decided that this is the perfect location. Gorgeous weather this weekend. . . We recommend the nearby food court, breakfast at Ocean Grill, lunch at Johnson Creek Tavern, and the nature center in the state park. Thank you for providing this paradise for our much needed break. PS: enjoyed all the wildlife - squadrons of pelicans, even the enormous alligator! A lovely condo - so bright and fresh with perfect accents.

Comments entered from guestbook: My sister and I have had a wonderful time on Fripp while staying in your 404. I love all your "nautical" decorations and beach art. the condo was very comfortable for us - such easy access to the waves! We spent a lot of our time browsing in the shops on the Sea Island Pkwy and in Beaufort. one of our favorite shops was the Red Piano Too on St. Helena Island. I took lots of pictures of the deer for my 4-year-old grandson, but we failed to see any alligators. . . . We ate at all but one of the restaurants you suggested in your notebook for guests. Enjoyed all the meals, plus, we ate pizza twice from the food court. Thanks for making your condo available.

Entered from Guest Book: Relaxation says it all. The beach is great, our 5-year-old loves to dig in sand & the tidal pools are safe when you want to relax. . .Did see turtles hatch & plenty of deer, even a rainbow after a day of storms. We did finally try the Ocean Club next door. Great food and wait staff. Suggest everyone try Gay Fish Co - great choices & prices. Did see dolphin on shelling cruise and deer at 4 pm & at dusk every night at the back door. Great week!

This is our first visit to Fripp Island and sure not to be our last! Our 4-year-old loves the beach and her new friends - why can't we stay lots of days, she asks. Our 1-year-old loves the sand and tide pools and long naps after lunch. Thanks for sharing your condo with us!
