Totnes cottage description

The Coach House sleeps 2-6, has a conservatory, downstairs cloakroom, wood burning stove, two large double/twin bedded rooms each with private bathrooms, also available a third double/twin bedded room with en-suite shower/toilet facilities accessed through one of the bedrooms (additional cost).
The Stable sleeps 2-4 also has a conservatory and downstairs cloakroom, wood burning stove. This Gold Award cottage has two bedrooms, the larger has a double bed, the other has option of double/twin beds. There is a seperate bathroom.
The Hayloft sleeps 2-4. No pets allowed. Newly converted, downstairs is open plan and has under floor heating. Upstairs offers a double bedroom, smaller double/twin bedded room. Bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and separate shower, and tiled underfloor heating.


Aish Cross Holiday Cottages are set in a very peaceful secluded setting, each cottage has its own unique appeal, two having conservatories, all have freeview television, DVD, Radio/CD players and hard wired internet connection. Well equipped kitchens, including dishwashers, seperate fridge, freezer and microwave. There is a lovely lawned orchard with garden furniture and barbeque facilities, and ample parking.

The Coach House - Sleeps 2-6. As the name suggests, the cottage has been created from the original coach house. It offers spacious character accommodation approached through an attractive double glazed conservatory which leads into a large open plan lounge and dining area with an adjoining fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, separate fridge freezer, microwave etc. There is also a downstairs cloakroom toilet. Upstairs there are two double (king size)/twin bedded rooms each with bathroom/toilet en suite. A third twin bedded room with en suite shower/toilet facilities may be incorporated into the accommodation with access through one of the bedrooms.

              Welcome to Aish Cross Luxury Holiday Cottages

              Aish Cross is a distinguished early Regency Country House situated in Devon, South West England. It stands in an elevated position in the small village of Aish, with views across the beautiful valley of the River Dart and the gentle rolling hills of South Devon.

              Adjoining the main house are The Coach House, The Stable, and The Hayloft, which have been converted to a very high standard into three delightful holiday cottages. They are nestled in a tranquil setting, surrounded by farmland with an abundance of beautifully scented wild flowers throughout the year.

              Aish is 1 mile from the picturesque village of Stoke Gabriel and 3 miles from the historic town of Totnes, which has an abundance of interesting shops, pubs and restaurants. Stoke Gabriel is a former Salmon fishing village on the banks of the River Dart. The village boast 2 pubs including the 13th Century Church House Inn with a choice of real ales and regular guest beers. And a Waterside café and bistro, where you can enjoy watching the boats come and go, or the children crabbing by the waterside whilst relaxing in the river Shack Café.

              Aish/Stoke Gabriel is an ideal base with Dittisham, Kingswear and Dartmouth just a short motor or sail down river and close to that must be two of the most beautifully positioned pubs in the world The Maltsters at Tuckenhay, and The Ferry Boat Inn at Dittisham, both sitting on the River Dart with impressive views out over the water.

              Aish Cross Holiday Cottages have easy access to Torbay with its extensive amenities, and the beautiful South Hams beaches and Dartmoor are a relatively short drive away.

              The Ferry ports of Plymouth (40 minutes) and Portsmouth (3 hours).

              Airports, Exeter (35 minutes) and Bristol (1 ½ hours) are all a very accessible drive and provide a ‘gateway’ to this beautiful part of England.
