LOCATION:
Le Mas des Gardies, a nineteenth century farmhouse, is a family residence situated within walking distance of the centre of Ménerbes, the charming hillside village described by Peter Mayle in "A Year in Provence."
The property, surrounded by six acres of hillside woodland, is secluded and enjoys a southwest position and a secluded swimming pool. It looks on to the Massif du Luberon and more closely to vineyards and cherry orchards.
Located in the heart of the Parc Régional du Luberon - within 20 miles of Avignon, 30 miles from Aix en Provence - and about an hour from the Mediterranean. Other villages nearby are: Bonnieux, Lacoste, Gordes, Roussillon, Oppède, etc. Isle sur Sorgue, the beautiful town famous for its antiques market, traders and intricate waterways is just 20 minutes away.
One of the other great benefits we offer is access to a number of great events and services. These range from guided visits,time with a great personal trainer, massages, a cook to come and prepare dinner for you, visits to local bakeries and much much more that would fairly difficult to organise on your own. We will give you the opportunity to reserve these things once you commit to rental of the Mas des Gardies.

Living room - features original manger, exposed beams, open fireplace and leads to summer dining room.
Summer dining room – wonderfully shady, has large dining table, chairs and a view of the front garden.
FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom with king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers. View onto the front garden.
Large bedroom with shower and washbasin - equipped with four single beds and fitted wardrobe.
Bedroom with double bed - exposed beams looking onto swimming pool area and garden.
Spacious bath/shower room with bidet and water closet.
Shower room with water closet and washbasin.
Independent water closet.
SECOND FLOOR:
Twin or queen-size bedroom with view onto garden, pool and hillside.
ANNEXE:
This converted barn offers a spacious lounge with fireplace and direct access to both the patio and the garden.

INTERIOR:
The property, although traditionally Provencal in style has been furnished to a high standard for family use.
Sheets and blankets are supplied.
Gas central heating plus two open fires.
The house will be clean when you arrive and should be left in the same state. If you would like the services of housekeeper these can be arranged at additional cost.
EXTERIOR:
A 11 meter by 5 meter pool lies to the rear of the property.
Six acres of land surround the house and gardens, including a cherry orchard, hillside shrub and woodland, with pines, oaks, olive, fig, pear, plum, and almond trees.
SUPPORT SERVICES:
Our house manager, pool manager, electrician/plumber are within easy reach in case of difficulties.
We include appropriate towels and bed linen in our rental.
