We just wanted to thank you again for the use of your house. It was the perfect house for small children I don't think there was anything you didn't have. The wagon was great to get back and forth to the beach with the boys. We hope to come back again for a whole week next time.

Our family/friends group of 7 had a great stay at Inn Like Flynn. Joelle was very friendly and helpful, never more than a quick email away. The house was well kept and clean with all the family amenities we needed. Location, location, location. We are big water people so even in the chilly weather it was very nice to be walking distance to BOTH ocean and sound. Coffee on the deck with water in view, walk to the local shops was easy and comfortable. Home has a definite "family vacation" feel and we would certainly recommend to others.

My family had such a wonderful time at Inn like Flynn. The house was just as advertised--it's very spacious with a fantastic deck layout. We had a great time playing pool and throwing darts. It was still a little too cold for the pool, but the kids braved the beach water a time or two! The location is fantastic--just a short bike ride to downtown Duck. Thanks for a wonderful Spring Break! Highly recommend!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The owners have thought of everything. There was a crib and 2 pack-n-plays available for very young children, which we needed. A bunk room for older children, which we'll need in a few years. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well appointed, the game room with pool table and dual sports bar TVs entertains young to young at heart. The pool looked really nice but while sunny, it was a bit cold in January for a dip . . . but then there is a really great hot tub too! A short walk to the public beach that feels private and you can run with your dogs and play in the surf. The kitchen is modern with an open plan dining room with a huge table and a very comfortable living area. The layout is great; kitchen, living, dining (social time) on one floor, bedrooms for relaxation on another, game room and entry to the pool or basketball in the driveway on the ground floor. Decks surround on every level. Truly a great house in amazing condition. It's hard to believe this is a rental. Certainly one of the nicest and most comfortable places we have had the pleasure to rent. We will be back!

We had a great time in the Outer Banks and Inn Like Flynn was a wonderful place to call home over New Years. The baby gates were tremendously helpful with a roaming toddler in the bunch. We also eating great meals (thanks for the tip re: Carawans Seafood!) in the house, watching lots of movies, and chilling in the hot tub. The wagon and sand toys were also a huge hit. Thanks for making it such a fun place to stay for families!

We took a three week vacation this year and we chose to stay at Inn Like Flynn. What a perfect choice! Everything you could possibly need was available for you. The home was beautiful and we had plenty of room. Joelle is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to do business with. She answered all my questions promptly which was a big plus. This was our first extended stay in the Outer Banks and if we decide to stay again, Inn Like Flynn will be the first place we look.

Inn Like Flynn has everything you will need for a wonderful family vacation! Plenty of space for two families not to mention a pool and a hot tub! After spending the mornings at the beach, we looked forward to our afternoon dips in the pool. It gets HOT so take the owners advice and keep the blinds closed in the afternoon. The kitchen truly is fully stocked and there's a grill out back. We cooked many delicious dinners-then enjoyed our after dinner drinks on the deck, gazing up at the stars. The breeze was incredible! We were lucky enough to see two beautiful sunsets while we were there. The swing is the place to be at sunset! The location is ideal, you can walk to the beach and it's a short drive to town. Duck is an adorable town full of quaint shops and restaurants. Whatever you need, it's all right there. The best part of Inn Like Flynn is that the owners are a pleasure to rent from. They are available day or night if you have any questions or need help with anything. If you leave a message or send an email, they will get back to you right away! There are also notes scattered around the house to help you and a binder full of information. We had an issue with the lock on the front door and the locksmith was there within 24 hours to fix it. It doesn't get better than that! Thanks so much for a fabulous family vacation! We will always remember our trip to Duck and we look forward to going back!

Our stay at Inn like Flynn was fabulous! The weather cooperated for the two weeks that we were there. It rained only one night. The pool was an asset for those days that were 90 degrees plus!!! Everything about Inn like Flynn made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The layout of the house is well thought out and accomodating to all age groups. It was a very easy access to the beach and to the town of Duck. This is our second time staying and we plan to come back again and again.

Everything at Inn Like Flynn was exactly as advertised and working with the owners from start to finish was nothing but pleasant -- even a random issue with the hot tub was taken care of quickly and efficiently. We basically walked in, unpacked our clothes, toiletries, and food, took a deep breath and relaxed for the rest of the week. The house was very well-equipped, clean, and tastefully decorated. For a couple whose busy schedule rarely allows time to cook a proper dinner, the kitchen at Inn Like Flynn had everything we needed to do just that. Don't get me wrong - we ate at a few amazing restaurants in Duck but having a well-stocked kitchen was a definite plus. Many evenings, sunsets over the sound were enjoyed from the swing on the top deck and quite a few late afternoons were spent relaxing around/in the beautiful pool. The hammock was the perfect spot for catching up on reading and taking a break from the sun. The walk to the ocean was short and enjoyable but we definitely liked the convenience of being able to drive and park at the end of the cul-de-sac. The walk to the sound, boardwalk, and many shops in Duck was enjoyable too - we often "rewarded" ourselves with an ice cream for the walk back! Bottom line - staying at Inn Like Flynn was hands-down the perfect choice for our first visit to the OBX. I'm not sure who liked it more - us or our middle-aged Dachshund (who ran around like he was a puppy again!) We are definitely looking forward to staying here again!

My husband and I and our 2 dogs loved staying at Duck over Spring break...the beach was dog friendly, we had a mix of summery and cooler weather, loved being on a cul-de-sac ending on a private beach, and the house was well kept and certainly large enough for our little group. Not to mention that the owners were very easy and friendly to work with. It was a great time!

My husband and I needed a getaway, and Inn Like Flynn was the perfect place. Two of our children were able to join us there, and since we all needed some R&R, we are glad we found Duck, NC. We knew the weather would mean more inside time, so were grateful for the many amenities within this delightful house. We walked to the beach (both the sound side and the Atlantic) easily and enjoyed the quiet beach and soothing sounds of the water coming ashore. We walked to the Sunset Grill restaurant for our anniversary meal and enjoyed that as well. When we needed some "shopping time!", we took a little tour of the outlet malls nearby and came away with great goodies from Coach, Guess, and Wilson's Leathers! Being there in the off season meant fewer stores and eateries open, so we were delighted to find a well stocked kitchen, easy to use internet, and books and movies. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and everything laid out and very clean for our easy move-in. Thank you for the obvious care you give to the people you have never met. We surely appreciated coming to such an inviting and cozy home. A truly delightful time!

From first contact through refund of the security deposit, In Like Flynn was nothing short of amazing! You can read the details and see pictures of the amenities, but they speak nothing to the overall flow and convenience of the home. Even though we stayed in January, I couldn't resist wandering onto the top floor deck first thing every morning to smell the sea and feel the sunshine. Evenings on the same deck provide for a beautiful view of the sunset over Currituck Sound. The Great room has no real separation between cooking, dining, and lounging, which allowed for a sense of closeness no matter what we were all doing at the time. The bedrooms being on the second floor let those who were ready to sleep, move away from all of the activities of the Great Room or Game Room and sleep in peace. The location seems like it would be very good when Duck is in peak season. As it was, the lack of open businesses was the only detraction we had during the whole of our stay. We did find, however, that many shops, stores, and restaraunts were open a short drive down Hwy 158 through Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head.

Inn Like Flynn is a wonderful place to spend a vacation-great location in Duck, clean and well-maintained, and stocked with everything you may need for a week at the beach (seriously-do not bring anything except beach towels-they have it all! :) ). We were a group of 6 adults and 2 dogs, and everyone had plenty of space. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, the decks were great for breakfast and relaxing after dinner. It was easy to make large meals to share-the kitchen had everything we needed and more! Olde Duck Beach was the cleanest beach we've ever seen and never too crowded to enjoy. We loved our OBX vacation and hope to return to Inn Like Flynn!

This is a great house, well equipped and tastefully, comfortably decorated. The pool is especially nice to hop into after you've spent some time at the beach, which is just a short walk down the street. We have 3 little ones (4 years & under) in our family who were swimming like fish whenever they were in it. We appreciate the fact that this is a dog friendly house too, so they could come with us on vacation. The neighborhood is quiet with incredible star-gazing at night. Duck is such a nice area - a bit less congested than the Kitty Hawk side, although we always head down that way for additional restaurants, shopping and Jockey's Ridge. If you don't want to venture over there though, there's enough to keep you occupied in Duck, much of which is within walking distance from this house. We took a trip one day to Manteo for a "Pirate Adventure" and found it to be a charming place. The kids loved the pirate boat ride - it was very well done by the young people who ran it. They were so nice to the children who participated. We've been visiting Nags Head for many years and have rented a number of properties, but can honestly say that Inn Like Flynn is the BEST! The owners are very accomodating and approachable. We feel so fortunate to have found this property as it provides just the right mix of relaxation and fun for family members of all ages.

Me and my family spent a wonderful week at this house. The house was very clean (which is very important to me) and had every imaginable thing needed. It was in an ideal place within walking distance to the ocean and the sound. It is also within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We went to the Tommy's gourmet market which contained everything you need for a stay at the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also shopped at the cottage shop and got several things to bring home as souvenirs. We had four of our children with us on the trip and there was plenty for everyone to do. Would definately recommend this house to anyone looking for a family trip and we will return in the years to come. My family is also Irish and this was an added plus for us, I love the pictures and the Irish touches in the house.

Our stay at Inn like Flynn was simply outstanding! My husband and I, our son, daughter-in-law, three small grandsons, and our daughter-in-law's parents all spent seven days here. The listing is very accurate in every way, and the photos reflect the property in all its charm! Considering the number of folks who go through this property, I was amazed at how clean and well maintained it is--not to mention the roominess and all the "comforts of home" that are provided--a well-equipped kitchen, unbelieveable movie selection, toys galore, beach stuff, etc. Although we did bring handy things from home we wanted to have (like my electric tea pot to heat water quickly), all we really needed were our clothes, camera, toiletries, food, and spending money (or plastic) for the cute little shops in Duck! Beds are comfy....TVs in all the bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms....Plenty of places to "get away" from others if you need a little solitude. Great deck areas. Gorgeous, clean pool...terrific hot tub. The beach is just a short walk, drive, or bicycle away. Another nice thing is the fact that the house is located on a short side street, not on a busy thoroughfare--perfect for families with younger kids and safe even for older kids to go down to the beach by themselves. A nice wagon is provided, too--perfect for toting things or kids down to the beach. The owners were SUPER helpful--providing useful information, answering every single question PROMPTLY, etc. Staying here felt almost like being at home...and communicating with the owners felt like communicating with folks you already know! They were so helpful. Another great thing--the town of Duck is minutes away--either by car or bicycle. It is a charming town--not the carnival-like boardwalk atmosphere of some beaches. Duck is full of unique little shops (the kind that women love!), places to eat, and within five to thirty minutes of absolutely anything you might need and/or fun things for adults and kids. There is also a great sidewalk along the highway, perfect for walks or bicycle rides. Duck would absolutely be my town of choice for a stay at OBX. We all enjoyed our stay here--adults and kids alike. The only thing I would recommend is to be sure to stay long enough -- not one of us wanted to leave! We would definitely recommend this property to anyone coming to the Outer Banks! You won't be disappointed. (Thanks again!)

We had a fantastic time! The house was welcoming, the beds were comfortable, and the location was excellent. There were plenty of linens/towels available. The pool was serviced the day we arrived, and then again in mid-week. We used the gas grill, but there is a charcoal pit grill, too. The pool table room has a bar complete with ice machine, 2 futons, and full bathroom. The main living area is on the upper floor, and there was plenty of room for everyone. A half-bath is just off the kitchen. The decks were well-constructed, not sagging, and furnished with adirondack chairs, picnic tables, a swing, a hammock, and a hot tub. The bedrooms were well furnished, and we were glad to have the washer and dryer just down the hall for our laundry needs. Three of the bedrooms have full baths. The fourth bedroom has 4 bunkbeds and a crib, and anyone in there uses a hall entrance to one of the bathrooms. We are also so thankful we could have our 3 medium-sized dogs with us at Inn Like Flynn! The ocean was a short walk, and pets are welcome to play off leash and supervised on the beach! If you have a pet, particularly a dog, visit the "Outer Barks" store in the Scarborough Shops. Duck is a charming town with a lot of unique shopping, and we could have walked to just about anything there, though we did drive as one of our family members had surgery the week before were were there, and another has had two knee replacements. We highly recommend "The Roadside" restaurant for a meal you will not find anywhere else. Definitely unique. Communication with the owners of Inn Like Flynn is speedy and friendly. They did everything they could to make our stay a very special one. Thank you!

We have been coming to Inn Like Flynn since it was built by the owners with much care and love.. It is without a doubt a spectacular and impeccable resort home with every little attention to detail, comfort and enjoyment. You will not be wanting for one thing. Of anywhere we have been in the world, this is, without a doubt, our first destination choice. When we read the guest book each year we see that families keep returning year after year and their comments are the same as ours .... the best of the best. You and your family will enjoy your vacation of a lifetime ... no matter what ages!
