Just a few miles south of the Sonoma Plaza, on a lazy bend in Sonoma Creek, rows of chardonnay vines soak up the Northern California sun. Inside a nearby redwood barn, barrels crafted from oak, forests half a world away are filled with wines from last year's harvest. Come and enjoy a unique, private, comfortable and relaxing stay at A Captain's House, located on the property of Larson Family Winery.
A Captain's House is a wonderful Civil War era Farmhouse, located on a working winery and located amid 70 acres of vineyards. Private, yet open and spacious, the House features four bedrooms, and two full baths. The gourmet kitchen is fully appointed, and the living areas are equipped with such amenities as a flat screen TV, telephone and internet access. The backyard is an inviting country setting with many mature trees and Sonoma Creek just beyond. A barbeque, many sitting areas and an arbor with a picnic table, provide gathering areas and guarantees that guests will experience wine country at its best. There is also access to a regulation size bocce ball court.
The house is across from the Tasting Room and Winery. It is located just ten minutes south of the Sonoma Plaza, in the western reaches of the Los Carneros appellation and has easy access to Napa, just a quick 20 minute drive, and San Francisco, 45 minutes away. Many people have said that when they come down Millerick Road, it is truly a rewarding end to a bumpy road!
