Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon is an exclusive four-season vacation destination! Solitude Village, at 8,175 feet elevation, is usually Utah's first resort to open in winter and among the last to close due to its long Alpine skiing season November to April. It boasts an average of 500" a year! Solitude features 1200 acres, over 2,000-foot vertical rise and 8 lifts servicing 64 trails.
CREEKSIDE Lodge, located closest to the base of the slopes and chairlifts, is the Jewel of Solitude’s quaint, European-style Alpine Village - and Solitude’s only TRUE ski-in and ski-out lodge with CREEKSIDE's own private door to the ski lifts!
Our unusually spacious corner condo comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests: 2 large bedrooms & 3 private bathrooms (2 with bathtubs & showers; the third bathroom has a shower stall). The roomy master bedroom has a luxurious pillow-top King bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom has a plush Queen-size bed, twin bunk beds and private bathroom. In our living room, you’ll find a comfortable Queen sleeper sofa with an adjoining full bathroom. Our Dining table seats 6 with an additional 3-person countertop seating area. At 1319 sq. ft., our condo is one of the most spacious 2 bedroom condos offered in Solitude Village.
We've recently added 3 FLAT SCREEN TV'S to our already long list of amenities: 42" TV in the living room and 32" TV's in both bedrooms!
We are gourmet cooks (OK, at least we THINK we are!), so our kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped with a large array of everything you need to create culinary favorites. (See KITCHEN -- “Vacation Rental Features”.)
Our condo is ideally situated on the third floor with elevator access, overlooking Solitude’s charming, pedestrian-only Village with an excellent panorama of the Clocktower, outdoor ice-skating rink, nightly bonfire, Tennis Court in summer, and twinkling lights on the Village trees all night.
At the end of the day, enjoy CREEKSIDE’s private Rooftop Hot Tub under the stars and, often, with snowflakes drifting down on your head - exclusively for guests of CREEKSIDE.
Lift tickets, ski equipment rentals, repairs and ski lessons sign-up are all under the Clocktower, just steps from CREEKSIDE’s front entrance.
WINTER:
Solitude is one of the top-rated United States ski resorts offering Alpine & downhill skiing, snowboarding, telemark and X-country skiing and has its own Nordic Center. Solitude offers an ideal combination of abundant snowfall, Utah’s famous "Champagne Powder" and what all skiers dream of....NO LIFT LINES!
You'll find an excellent, very UN-crowded, family-friendly mix of green and blue runs, and some surprising black diamond runs. Our favorites are Headwall Forest and Here Be Dragons as well as Solitude’s well-kept secret - Honeycomb Canyon.
Enjoy all of this - without the lift lines of Alta, Park City, Snowbird and Brighton. But, if Brighton beckons you, Solitude offers a 2-minute shuttle ride up the hill to the Nordic Center, (a short walk to Brighton) - and you can ski back from Brighton to Solitude on the Sol/Bright Trail.
Conveniently situated, Solitude is a short drive from other local Utah ski resorts such as Alta, Snowbird, Park City, Deer Valley and The Canyons. With our condo as your base, you can experience the many great ski areas that Utah has to offer.
SUMMER:
May-October, enjoy our spacious, comfy CREEKSIDE condo at a comfortable 80 degrees with clear, blue skies. In our Village, you can indulge in activities like volleyball, biking, mountain-biking, mountain scooters, Tennis, Frisbee golf, kids fishing in Solitude Pond, hiking, rock climbing, and our charcoal BBQ.
You'll be hiking through the most scenic terrain seen anywhere. While the brave-hearted enjoy mountain-biking, the peaceful-hearted will enjoy watching wild flowers grow. The adventurous can drive a car over the Guardsman Pass (closed in winter) to Park City, only 15 minutes away. It's also a shortcut to the best Brown Trout fishing in the Provo River.
Six Golf courses are just a short drive from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Salt Lake City offers great restaurants, malls and the world famous Genealogy Center.
North of Salt Lake City, visit the Great Salt Lake and its buffalo herd. Visit the site of the "Golden Spike", where railroads from east & west coasts met in 1869. Across the valley, take a Kennecott Copper Mine tour (summer). It’s less than an hour drive south to Timpanogos Cave Nat’l Monument (summer). Our condo also makes a perfect base for multi-day trips to Utah’s beautiful Bryce and Zion Canyons.
Our Village has excellent restaurants: "Creekside" (family-style), "St. Bernard’s" (fine dining), and "The Yurt", an adults-only dining experience deep in the woods you won't soon forget! (Get resv. when you book!) Stone Haus has coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, yummy pizza and the best local creamery "Spotted Dog" ice cream! (Stone Haus is especially important when your kids want to eat 10 minutes ago!) Silverfork Lodge, two miles down the road - call for a free RT ride - is a legend with the locals. Try my favorite: Roasted Duck served with Blackberry Cabernet Reduction.
When it’s time to head home, you'll find your car free of snow, dry and warm (60 degrees) in our secure, underground parking garage.

My husband and I, along with another couple, just spent a week in your Utah Condo; Unit 315! WOW. . .it was wonderful; your kitchen is great; everything we needed; so much so, that we cooked in every night! After a full day of skiing; we were too tired to go out to eat! You did a great job in including "everything" a cook would need (thank you!) Your condo is so close to the slopes; great ski lockers and the underground parking was great. We were shocked at so few folks at the resort -- no complaints; we like it that way! Everything was perfect! We had a great vacation! It is our fifth time to Salt Lake for skiing, and, your condo was our VERY BEST place to stay!

Our first trip “out west” as a family was outstanding! The weather on ski days (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) was perfect. It’s to the point where I cannot keep up with the kids! The condo unit was perfect and our family felt right at home. We must make this an annual family outing. I will definitely be calling you in the future!

The “Cushy Cow Condo” is awesome! Your kitchen is by far the best equipped. Solitude has always been our favorite mountain and your condo is now our favorite place to stay. There were three generations of our family here -- the two older models in need of repair and the two younger with lots of energy to spare. Thanks for opening your condo to us…..we enjoyed all aspects!

What a wonderful time I had here with 2 of my boys! This was their first ski trip out west and my first to Utah. And it was perfect in every way. Getting 3 feet of snow on the first two days we were here helped too. Forget Deer Valley and Park City. You can’t improve on this!

Super week! This is our second week staying in Creekside and our first in your condo. The condo is very well kept and had all the supplies we could have ever needed. The mountain and snow did not disappoint -- but it never does! The two youngest children (5 & 4) got onto skis and did quite well. The oldest (9) polished his boarding skills nicely. My wife and I did well for our age. Even our Au Pair (from Germany) learned to board! Thanks for letting use your place. We will be in touch about a repeat visit!

Saying we feel at home in your condo is no exaggeration -- besides its neatness, comfort and the care you have attached to every detail, the poster above the fireplace reminds me of our home in France. Upon arriving, we've been thrilled to find how well thought out and organized your condo is -- from the sled and booster chair we used for our 2-year old to a kitchen equipped far beyond our expectations. We loved our stay here. The snow was fantastic, we never had to wait for the lifts and the slopes were almost ours alone.
