Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon is a four-season vacation destination. At 8,175 feet elevation, Solitude is usually Utah's first resort to open in winter and the last to close its lifts in late spring, due to its long Alpine skiing season November to April. It boasts an average of 500" a year featuring 1200 acres, over 2,000-foot vertical rise & 8 lifts servicing 64 trails. Solitude offers an ideal combination of abundant snowfall, Utah’s famous "Champagne Powder" -- & what all skiers dream of.... NO LIFT LINES!

Our spacious corner condo (i.e., lots of windows & two balconies!) comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests: 2 sizeable bedrooms & 3 private bathrooms (2 with tub/shower combos; the third bathroom has a shower). Our large Master Bedroom has a luxurious NovaForm Pure Comfort Grand Cal-King bed and private bathroom. Our Second Bedroom has a plush Queen-size bed, twin bunk beds & private bathroom. In our Living Room, you’ll find a comfortable Queen sleeper sofa (yes, it really is comfortable with an expensive memory foam mattress pad!) & an adjoining full bathroom. Our Dining table seats 6 with an additional 3-person countertop seating area. At 1,319 sq. ft., our condo is one of the most spacious 2 bedroom condos offered in Solitude Village!

We've upgraded TVs with 3 FLAT SCREEN TV's to our long list of amenities/upgrades: 42" TV in the living room & 32" TVs in both bedrooms! Apple-Stuff – just installed the Speaker & Charger system for your iPod, iPad & iPhone!

We are gourmet cooks (OK, at least we THINK we are!), so our kitchen is extraordinarily well-equipped with a large array of everything you need to create culinary favorites. (See KITCHEN -- “Vacation Rental Features”.)

Our condo is ideally situated on the 3rd floor with elevator access, overlooking Solitude’s charming, pedestrian-only Village. We have an excellent panorama of the ice-skating rink, nightly bonfire, tennis court in summer and the enchanting twinkling lights on the Village trees all night.

At the end of your ski day, enjoy CREEKSIDE’s private Rooftop HOT TUB under the stars and drifting snowflakes - exclusively for guests of CREEKSIDE.

Lift tickets, ski rentals, repairs & ski lesson sign-up are all under the Clocktower, just steps from CREEKSIDE’s front entrance.

WINTER:
Solitude is one of the USA’s top-rated ski resorts offering Alpine & downhill skiing, snowboarding, telemark and X-country skiing -- with its own Nordic Center.

You'll find a very UN-crowded, family-friendly mix of green and blue runs, and some surprising black diamond runs. Our favorites are Headwall Forest, Here Be Dragons and Solitude’s well-kept secret - Honeycomb Canyon.

Enjoy all of this - without the lift lines of Alta, Park City & Snowbird. If Brighton beckons you, Solitude offers a 2-minute shuttle ride uphill to our Nordic Center - a short walk to Brighton. At day’s end, you can ski back from Brighton to Solitude on the Sol Bright Trail.

Solitude is a short drive to other local ski resorts such as Alta, Snowbird, Park City, Deer Valley & The Canyons. With our condo as your base, you can experience many great ski areas that Utah has to offer.

SUMMER:
May-October, enjoy our spacious CREEKSIDE condo at a comfortable 80 degrees with blue skies and no humidity! In our Village, you can partake in activities like mountain biking, mountain scooters, Tennis, Frisbee golf, kids fishing in Solitude Pond, hiking & rock climbing as well as scenic lift rides.

Hiking Trail maps are available in Club Solitude and it's the most scenic terrain seen anywhere! Mountain biking is available for the brave-hearted. The adventurous can drive over the Guardsman Pass (closed in winter) to Park City, only 15 minutes away. It's also a shortcut to the best Brown Trout fishing in the Provo River.

Six Golf courses are just a short drive from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Salt Lake City offers great restaurants, malls & of course, the world famous Genealogy Center.

Other summer sightseeing could include visiting the Great Salt Lake & its buffalo herd north of Salt Lake City; the "Golden Spike" -- where railroads from east & west coasts met in 1869; Bingham Canyon-Kennecott Copper Mine for a tour (west of Salt Lake City) & Timpanogos Cave Nat’l Monument(less than an hour drive south).

RESTAURANTS: Our Village has excellent restaurants: "KIMI'S MTN BISTRO" (family-style) outstanding brunch! & excellent dinners; "ST. BERNARD'S" (fine dining); & our celebrated "YURT" - an adults-only dining experience deep in the woods that you won't forget! (Get resv. when you book!)

STONE HAUS offers coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, pizza & ice cream! Stone Haus is especially important when your kids want to eat -- like 10 minutes ago!

Legendary among locals is SILVERFORK LODGE (2 miles down canyon). Call for a free RT ride. My favorite: Roasted Duck served with Blackberry Cabernet Reduction.

When it’s time to head home, find your car free of snow, dry & warm (60 degrees) in our secure, underground parking garage.
