A special top of the range villa with 3 bedrooms, private pool and garden and panoramic sea views.
On entering the villa, there is a guest WC in the hallway, which leads into a very comfortably furnished living area with white leather seating and a spacious dining area. The large well equipped kitchen has fridge/freezer, electric oven, electric/gas hob, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher and a breakfast table and chairs. From the living room doors lead to a pretty fragrant patio with large pool. The generous master bedroom, also on the ground floor, has 5 ft. queen-sized bed and impressive bathroom.
The two upstairs bedrooms open onto a west facing veranda with lovely sea views and catching the afternoon and evening sun.
The wonderful pool area and garden is very well tended and maintained with a BBQ and an outside dining area that is ideal for al fresco meals.
The nearby historic town of Lagos has shopping, markets, marina and a friendly buzz with lots of outdoor restaurants and a fantastic daily fish market with a dazzling display of fish, some of which you may never have seen before, all beautifully presented!
The farm produce market on Saturday mornings is unforgettable, and offers all sorts of fruits and vegetables, traditional cakes, poultry and eggs for sale by local farmers, and also a regional market comes twice a month selling clothing, textiles, jewellery and trinkets of all kinds.
There are wonderful coastal walks eastwards from Luz towards Porto do Mos and Lagos, or westwards to Burgau beach and beyond. The Parque Naturel de Vicentina which stretches west from Burgau is an unspoilt haven for nature lovers with beautiful perfumes on the air of wild cistus, rosemary and mimosa bushes and pine eucalyptus and oak forests.
Cape St. Vincent, the most westerly point, is wild and rugged shaped by the Atlantic rollers and it is interesting to visit what remains of the fort and navigation school of Henry the Navigator which was central to Portugal's disoveries of the New World in the middle ages. The dramatic coastline stretches northwards from Sagres and The Cape for hundreds of miles, with lots undiscovered beaches, small fishing villages and occasional restaurants. The small coastal road mirrors the shore line and has many stopping places for taking in the breadth of fabulous scenery and taking photos.
The Monchique mountains protect the Algarve from the north winds and a visit to the picturesque mountain villages makes a lovely day's drive. Monchique Spa town offers local woodwork, blankets, pottery and other traditional crafts and many restaurants serving the region's famous spicy chicken piri piri and other superb regional foods.
There are many other places of scenic and cultural interest to visit, should you tire of the huge selection of beaches all along the coast, and if you can't tear yourself away from the beach this time .. there's always the next visit for exploring!
