Conn College Women's Tennis were very fortunate to stumble upon this gem. A very easy pleasant owner who made everything a piece of cake to manage. A wonderful house for a team of athletes to bond and relax after a long day in the sun. Many beautiful pictures and memories from our stay in this house. We would be lucky to return.

We enjoyed our week at “Savannah” so much this past July with my husband’s family, that we decided to return and host a reunion with my family right after the New Year. Even though it was certainly not as warm as July, we again enjoyed long walks on the beach and in Palmetto Dunes, being all together for meals prepared in “Savannah’s” newly updated kitchen and fun movie nights in the media room. “Savannah” just makes you want to come back and spend more time enjoying this wonderful home, pool, nearby beach and all that Hilton Head has to offer. We certainly look forward to returning again. All of my other comments from my July 2011 posting still run true for this location and home. We thank Anne Marie and her family for offering their beautiful home for others to enjoy.

We could not have enjoyed our stay more in HiIton Head. Anne Marie is such a wonderful host/owner. We all commented how we could tell the personal attention she paid to us in making certain our trip went well. Having rented vacation homes before, this is not a common approach. The home is perfectly located on the island within steps of the beach. We were travelling with several little children in our group so having our own HEATED pool was great. The grounds of the property are kept is such great condition and teh large trees allow for a great deal of privacy. The bedroom are all large and we always felt like we had more than enough space in the house to be comfortable. We look forward to coming back soon! This is probably our 6th time renting this Exceptional home. We LOVE EVERYTHING about it. It now completely feels like OUR HOME away from home. The Owners pay such attention to everything and go above and beyond to make sure that anyone who stays at their home feels as comfortable as possible. IF an issue arises, they address it immediately. The location of the home could not be any better. The beachpath and Ocean are literally steps away. The Master suites and upstairs bedrooms are very comfortable and 5 bathrooms make getting ready a breeze no matter the size of your group. We have had as many as 10 and as few as 5. Would NOT even look to rent other properties!! I can't imagine needing anymore than this home has to offer. It is so comfortable that you have to force yourself to leave and go see the other things the Island has to offer. It's central island location make getting to anywhere relatively easy also. Palmetto Dunes is our favorite Plantation on the Island, too. The Hilton and Marriott resort are a short bike or walk away and they have great bars and snacks/food available for a diversion from grilling at lunchtime! Rent bikes and ride around the plantation checking out the wildlife and beautiful homes. We can't wait to return and have already reserved our week for 2012!!

Our family had an absolutely delightful family reunion at this home - Savannah - in July 2011. Anne Marie made the process very easy for us and was extremely responsive and accommodating for all of our questions, before, during and after our stay. The property is in super location in Palmetto Dunes with a fantastic home, wonderful pool and only 150 easy steps to one of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S. The house itself is wonderful and those of us who have stayed there are privileged to do so....and we hope to come back again in the future. Savannah looks just like the photos on this website....and is just a beautiful and comfortable property. We enjoyed being with one another, having meals together and enjoying the pool and home all together.

My husband and I have been vacationing in Hilton Head since our children were 5 and 6 years old. They are now 20 and 21. We have stayed in "Savannah" many times. When we haven't stayed there it was usually because I had procrastinated and the propery was already booked for the week we wanted. I am an avid tennis player, my husband is a golfer and pool bum, and our kids love the beach, pool, and naps. This home makes us all happy. It's a short drive or walk to the tennis courts for me, the beautiful pool is my husband's stop, and the four bedrooms provide quiet time until the kids start their day around l:00 p.m. The owners of this beautiful home personally contact us to make sure everything is as we expected and to ask if we need anything. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this home to anyone looking for a fabulous home in an unbeatable location. The open floor plan provides a great area to have dinner or watch TV together in the evenings when we decide to hang out at home. It truely feels like our "home away from home"...

Two great weeks

We have stayed here before, and this time we stayed for two weeks and it basically became our home for three families, including two with 3 children apiece - and the house never seemed small. Great layout, many TVs so everyone could watch their own show (golf in one, Dora in the other!) and so close to the beach, its as beachfront as you can get without being beachfront. Great pool, owners are VERY attentive to service issues. We plan to be back!

We have stayed here before and would highly recommend it for its features (pool, many TVs, great layout), the fact it is a short secluded walk from the beach, and the excellent support if anything is needed. We had a couple of minor malfunctions and the owners immediately responded making our two week stay excellent. We plan on returning.

My immediate and extended family (ten people in total - ages ranging from 8 to 80) stayed at this home for one week. The accommodations and location exceeded our expectations. The owner was great to work with. She offered us tips to make our vacation more memorable. The home and kitchen were fully equipped, and were large enough for people to have their own space. One of the many great things about the location for families with small children is that there are no streets to cross to get to the beach. The pool and hot tub were well-used. We recommend paying extra to heat the pool. The kids really appreciated the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. We enjoyed our trip so much that we already reserved a slot for next year! Savannah is "Low-Country" for Paradise

Savannah, what a place! As veteran Hilton Head vacationers, we thought we knew what to expect. Wrong. The Lento's home is spectacular, very roomy and very functional as well without losing any charm at all. From the Private pool, incredibly and privately landscaped with Low Country Flora(e.g. 100+ ft. White Pine right in back yard), to the quick private beach access, and the spacious accomodations, our two families(4 adults, 5 kids ranging from 15 to 4) could not have enjoyed ourselves more. As they say, Location, location, location; Savannah is THE location in Palmetto Dunes. The Lentos made the renting process as easy and detail oriented as we could have wished, making our total experience the very best we have ever had. Thank you, Lentos, we will see you again! BEST OF THE BEST!

Great Palmetto Dunes House

This is the second time my family has rented Savannah. This time we were lucky enough to rent for a month and had different friends or family members each week of varying ages and interests - the common denominator was everyone loved the house. Anne Marie is one of the nicest people I have ever rented from. She makes the process very easy as she answers her emails very quickly and handles everything in a totally professional manner from her excellent website information to the information packages she provides before you arrive which answers every question you can imagine from everything about the house to great restaurant recommendations. Her home is just lovely and totally welcoming - wonderfully set up, well decorated and up to date. The indoor facilities are 5star and the long dining table with the beautiful view, theatre room and fantastic bbq got rave reviews. The outside is just beautiful - the landscaping and the pool/hot tub are really lovely and the backyard is very private. The location of the house is fantastic - I think it takes 2 minuted to walk the beach pathway to get to the ocean and fabulous beach. We walked on the beach, rode bikes, golfed, did sightseeing and had a wonderful time. I've rented several houses in Hilton Head and this is definitely the best one - our family highly recommends Anne Marie and Lou Lento and their fabulous house, Savannah in Palmetto Dunes.

Can't say enough about the home and personal service that we received from the home owner. The home is ideally located if you want peace and quite with lots of shade around the pool, but only steps away from the pristine beach. We love going to Hawaii but now our new favorite place is Hilton Head, Palmetto Dunes and this fabulous retreat. Great restaurants close by, close to Savannah, Beaufort and only a couple of hours from Charleston. Golfing was superb, bike riding and walking were the order of the day. Traditional Southern Hospitality at it's best.

Wonderful holiday home very close to the beach

We (two families from Europe with teenage and adult children) spent 2 weeks in this very well equipped and well maintained villa. The house is only a few steps on a path from the beach, has a nice swimming pool, is perfect for two families (identical master bed rooms and sleeping rooms for the "youngsters", private bathrooms for everyone), big hall etc. House is situated in a very residential and quiet part of Palmetto Dunes resort, surrounded by old trees and vegetation. Also great place for golfers. Very customer oriented owner and very helpful, if ever a problem occurs, therefore easy to rent also from overseas. We sincerely can recommend it!

The owners of the house were very concerned with making sure our stay was the best it could be. The house was very well decorated and it felt like staying at your friends house and not just a rental. Case in point, fresh cut flowers on the kitchen table when we arrived. People say the 'devil is in the details' and the little personal touches through out the house make the stay that much more enjoyable. Great house, great location, and great rental experience made this a great trip.

The pictures match the vacation home. All of my family had a great time. There was something for all to do. Close to the beach - and a large pool for day and night time dips. The landscraping provided a lot of privacy and enjoyment. The front porch was my favorite from early in the morning enjoying my coffee to drying my hair outside to go out that evening. Thanks Anne Marie for all your concern and care - it was well appreciated.

We had a such a wonderful experience at "Savannah." Ann Marie is a pleasure to work with, and she made the booking process a breeze. She was available to answer any questions that we had. The home is just gorgeous-- and is even more beautiful than the pictures show. Ann Marie has thought of every detail. My 2 little girls loved running on the beach path to the beach -- it's just a 3 minute walk to the beach (if that)! The pool is gorgeous and so private. We highly recommend choosing "Savannah" for your stay on HHI. We definitely plan to rebook!

This is truly a wonderful, roomy, upscale home, owned by very nice people, who are always available to answer any questions before and during your stay. We have stayed there several times and would highly recommend this property to anyone. The 2 master bedrooms, with king size beds, ceiling fans, walk in closets, and large bathrooms are great for 2 families, since they are identical. Great front and back porches. The kitchen comes with everything you would have at home, i.e. dishes, stemware, pots, pans and utensils, etc.all of which are maintained in good condition. We have stayed elsewhere in Palmetto Dunes and this home is by far the nicest. It is a true gem!!!

My family and I spent 3 weeks at this home in April of 2010. Let's start with the owners-Anne Marie and Lou. Really, wonderful people and on top of things. They went out of their way to make our stay a roaring success. When I received the rental package following final pymt, it was so informative and so professionally done. The website and pictures tell a story of southern charm that is very accurate. However, be prepared for the real thing!!! I've rented other properties in HH and OBX but few so well managed with such great people. The cleanliness was very impressive as was the matching dinnerware, flatware, cookwareand glasses. There was nothing that was missing other than their company!!! We had a party that was catered by Sunset Grill for 15 people and this home was just the place. Our chef on call, Linda, had the perfect set up for serving and we had the perfect set up for entertaining. It's difficult to manage and maintain a home at the beach and keep it in such excellent condition. They both work very hard in doing so when they are there. Anne Marie and Lou take great pride in their home!! Very comfortable bedding with wonderful mattresses, comfortable den, outdoor screened porch (my favorite spot in the morning) overlooking the pool and beautiful landscaping-so peaceful-, great sound system w/the tv (once we figured out which remote controlled what-thanks to Anne Marie and Lou!! Just returned from two weeks in "Savannah" - your beautiful home in Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head Island. This lovely home is fully equipped and has all the amenties - two wonderful master suites, a great kitchen to prepare food, fantastic barbeque and two beautiful rooms in which to relax - the great room and the cozy, charming den. Coming into the Great Room every morning was a treat - a wonderful view of the pool and trees - you can hear the ocean in the sunroom. The owner was professional, helpful and very accommodating, offering suggestions for restaurants and letting us know she was available at any time if we had questions. My family and I recently returned from vacationing on Hilton Head, and rented Savannah. It was the perfect vacation home for us. We are beach bums and the beach was so convenient since the house is located on the beach path. The house was exactly as depicted on the web site; the owners have thought of everything, and all amenities were provided. We dined at Crazy Crab, the Black Marlin, cooked local seafood and also grilled poolside. The week was so much fun, and we can't wait until next year.

This property is absolutely excellent!! We were there with our daughter, son in law and two children under the age of 5 and had all the room we needed and more. Didn't even use the upstairs bedrooms, but could have. We played tennis everyday, used the pool everyday and the beach access is terrific. The house is very nice with a lot of extras in the details and has been very well maintained. Great customer service and I would recommend this property to all my friends!!

Our Week at Savannah

My family has been making an annual trip to Hilton Head almost every summer for the past 10 years. We have traveled with other couples as well as alone. We have stayed at Savannah three separate times, including this past week (6/27/09). I feel so at home in this house. It is in a perfect location for everyone in my family. I am a tennis player and can walk or drive to the courts with ease. My teenages are "beachbums" and can walk down a short path from the home to their favorite spot on the beach (which, being private, is never crowded). My husband is content to move from the pool to the hot tub to the lounge chair (which he does with alarming ease!) The pool is also very private. The two master suites on the first floor make it ideal for multiple families, although we went alone this year and our daughter won the coin toss. I would highly recommend this property. Our group has been vacationing in Hilton Head and other east coast beach spots for many years. Our recent stay in "Savannah" was one of the best ever! The house is beautiful, the location is perfect -- just a few shady steps to the beach. And, equally important to us was the fact that Anne Marie makes the whole process -- from booking to checkin through check out -- so seamless and problem free. Talk about responsive and organized -- we were met at the house by the property manager, Anne Marie called to make sure everything was in order and to find out if we needed anything to make our stay the most enjoyable ever. Just a truly fabulous owner and vacation. We will definetely return for a future HH vacation in "Savannah!"

This was our first trip to Hilton Head and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in such a lovely home just a few steps from the beach. The home was large and spacious enough to accommodate our two families(10 in all). We enjoyed all of the amenities of the house. The open area of the kitchen/dining/TV area was perfect for all of us to come together in the evenings. The furnishings were all top quality and in perfect condition. The pool/spa area is beautifully landscaped and was a great place to hang out when we were not on the beach or checking out the rest of HH. AnneMarie, the owner, was in constant contact with us from the first email all the way thru our stay, and even after. We found the information packets she mailed us very helpful. The stay exceeded our expectations, and if we return to Hilton Head we will definitely stay at "Savannah" again.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet, very well maintained home, this should be you're choice. The home is spacious, close to the ocean and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The owner is very well organized and quickly responds to any questions you may have. The information packet she provides is very informative and answers just about any questions you may have. The landscaping around the property is situated to give you a feeling of tranquility and privacy. If you like playing golf, there are several great courses in the area. Palmetto Dunes also has reasonably priced bicycle and kayak rentals. There are several great restaurants on the island. If you like BBQ, One Hot Mama's is a good choice. We had such a great time, we are returning again in 2010.

For the second time in two years we had the pleasure of staying at "Savannah." The house was clean and well-appointed as usual. We have been going to Hilton Head for over 30 years and this is by far our favorite house! The layout is perfect, the beach is near and the private pool and backyard are great. We also like the fact that the house is a "home." Family pictures and nice accessories make it feel very inviting. We will be back next summer!

Thanks for making your beach home available for the rest of us to enjoy. Palmetto Dunes is a beautiful plantation. Check in was well coordinated and simple. Savannah is a beautiful home that is clean, has been very well maintained and is very roomy with lots of sunlight. Private pool and hot tub were enjoyable and the sidewalk to the beach is a simple one minute stroll (with stairs). The owner was very friendly and well organized with rental contract and HHI info. Will recommend to other family and friends.

Hilton Head Island is our favorite family vacation spot. Palmetto Dunes,in our opinion, is the nicest plantation on the island. We have stayed in several homes in Palmetto Dunes. The Savannah is our favorite pick for several reasons. The most obvious reason is the beautiful home. It is equipped with everything that our family needed and wanted. Second, the location to the beach. It was a very easy walk for our small children and grandparents. Third, everyone had their own private baths and bedrooms. Lastly, the pool was a perfect size for a large family. The Savannah has everything for a great and memorable family vacation.

This was our fourth year staying at Savannah. It is the highlight of our family's year. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The pool is wonderful and the beach is an easy walk. The owners are very accomodating and continue to keep the house and grounds very nicely. Amazing Vacation Home

Our family first rented this home in the Summer of 2006, I believe. We rented it in June 2006, then again in January of 2007. We also rented it in August of 2007! I think that says it all, if we were willing to go back that much!! The home has all of the comforts of home and MORE! The master suites are amazing, the 2 bedrooms upstairs are extremely comfortable. Our children are teenagers and they bring friends. The pool is a great place to hang out and relax, we used the hot tub a lot in January! The beach is only steps away and the location is perfect for bike riding all over the Island! The Owners could not be more accomodating! They offered excellent suggestions of where to dine, activities, short day trips, etc. In both January and August we ventured to Savannah which is only about a 45 minute drive. It is a great place to see! The Owners made updates to the property in the short time between our visits, new carpeting, big screen t.v.'s, they are very considerate to providing comfort to their renters! We recommend the Jazz Corner, Aqua Grill, Kurama, The Salty Dog, The Black Marlin, The Hilton Head Diner, Charlie's Crab as some of the places to dine. Hilton Head is definitely one of our favorite vacation destinations and we will certainly return to this rental property!

I have enjoyed vacations at "Savannah" several times. It's a great location, steps to the beach, in the heart of Palmetto Dunes. The 2 master bedroom suites, pool, spa, and the front porch rocking chairs are a few of my favorite spots. The owners are very accomodating and the house is immaculately clean w/every amenity you could imagine. It's the perfect house for families, friends, girl's trips, golfers, etc. I have many fond memories...until the next trip.

Our Winter Home

My wife and I, together with her sister, another sister and brother-in-law, made "Savannah" our winter home for four or five years, staying most of January, all of February, and most of March each of those years. Compared to our weather in our real home up North, the weather here was akin to dying and going to heaven. We fell in love with the place. It is, first of all, in Palmetto Dunes, a beautiful gated community which is located almost in the middle of the island. In previous years we had stayed in Sea Pines and found that community, lovely as it is, too far away from other places on the island. Here at "Savannah" my wife and her sisters particularly enjoyed the closeness (about one hundred yards or so) to the beach as they walked there almost every day. The two master bedroom suites made it very appropriate for our family. I always enjoyed the huge front porch with its rocking chairs and spent many pleasant hours out there reading and rocking. I also appreciated that there were two separate places to watch TV, the guys watching sports in one area and the ladies watching their programs in an entirely different place. Never the twain to meet and no arguments about what was to be watched. We always found the house to be immaculately clean and everything always worked. In the course of our stays we established a personal relationship with the owners of the house which we still cherish today. I really and unreservedly recommend "Savannah" to anyone wishing to visit Hilton Head Island.
