Great home on a serene lake with majestic oaks and a short 300 yard walk to the beach. This home is in an oceanfront community consisting of private roads, tennis courts, and community swimming pool. There is a nice fully-equipped kitchen, ceiling fans and TVs in all bedrooms, a gas grill, Brazilian Cherry flooring throughout, comfortable furnishings, a dining table that seats 6, a screened-in porch off the back of the house, free wireless internet, and a nice living room with a TV and DVD Player.
This house is in a great location!! You can walk to all of the local beach shopping, island nightlife, great restaurants, county park, ice cream shops, and more!
ALL BED LINENS, KITCHEN TOWELS, AND BATH TOWEL SETS ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE!! You will only need to bring or plan to rent beach towels, chairs, bikes, umbrellas, etc. Also included is a "starter set" of toiletries such as toilet paper, bath & dish soaps, paper towels, etc. but please do keep in mind you may need to purchase these items after you arrive.
The great location, size of the house, and reasonable price are by far a GREAT DEAL for a family beach vacation!! The Isle of Palms has the only beach in South Carolina or Georgia listed as a Blue Wave Beach! We have now received this award for more than 10 years in a row. We are very proud! For more information on what qualities a Blue Wave beach must have, please visit the “cleanbeaches” website.
More great news! Charleston has just been named the #1 Top City in the U.S. by Conde Nast Traveler for 2011!!! We have been #2 for many years and have finally earned the #1 spot by overcoming San Francisco! Emmy Award-winning comedy writer and Charlestonian Stephen Colbert spoke very highly of Charleston in saying, “I've been all over the world and Charleston is the most beautiful city I've ever seen.” We all feel very honored and privileged to receive this award; we couldn't be more proud of our city and its "southern charm."

We have award winning tennis courts and world class golf courses; and don't forget we are next door (about a 20 minute drive) to the thriving downtown shopping district and fabulous night life of Charleston, not to mention all of its remarkably unique history! History lives here; come experience for yourself the beauty and charm our preserved past presents. We have fantastic museums (homes, plantations, gardens, naval warships, history, and art), an amazing aquarium, historic forts (including Ft. Sumter where the first shot of the Civil War was fired), wonderful walking tours for all ages, carriage rides and tours, harbor cruises, theatres, the ever-so-popular historic open market located on Market Street where sweet grass baskets are woven daily, and much more! You can visit “thecharlestoncitymarket” website for more info. Charleston has also earned an outstanding reputation in regards to fine dining featuring the region's famous low country cuisine. Every meal is an event in itself – prepared with perfection and served with a smile. We encourage you to visit the “charlestoncvb” website for everything you need to know about Charleston and the surrounding areas!
