Lovely four-season, waterfront home nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood of year round single family homes. Set 125+ feet off a winding, paved street that gets very little traffic (mostly people walking/biking). Expansive and sheltered 3/4 acre grassy yard that is great for lawn games. Ten steps out our front screened in porch door to our beautiful 120' PRIVATE natural sandy beach. This is NOT a condo. and NOT an association. It is a PRIVATE single family home with private yard, private beach and private dock. Wonderful spot for small children to play. Crystal clear water--see the sandy bottom even at ten feet. No drop off as you ease into deeper water.
We are in a protected cove (directly acrooss from Governor's Island) where there is less boat traffic/waves than other areas of the lake, making it excellent for swimming, snorkeling, sailing, fishing, boating and waterskiing. Fish off our private 10-by-30-foot dock that can hold up to a 22-foot inboard/outboard. There are several public boat launch sites within 4 miles of this cottage. Boat trailer parking available on property during your rental week(s), as well as private parking available for up to 4 vehicles on driveway (no parking on street allowed).
Our cottage features an open floor plan downstairs with two huge sets of sliding glass double doors offering unobstructed views of the lake from every room in the cottage. Eat-in kitchen and large family room with cozy fireplace. Two huge screened porches overlooking the lake. Great for dining "outdoors" without the bugs. NO washer/dryer on site. Coin op/drop off laundry service within 1/2 mile of cottage. Linens are NOT provided. Each bed (1 queen/4 double) has 2 pillows, one blanket and one comforter.
