Seven miles to the south is the scenic and historic town of Eureka, MT. Enjoy a stroll along main street, browse the shops and museum, enjoy a meal. A mere quarter-mile from the US border with Canada; day trips to historic Fort Steele, world-class skiing at Fernie and Invemere, and shopping in Calgary are an easy drive.
An hour's drive through scenic state and national park lands south brings you to the Flathead Valley, Gateway to Glacier National Park. Kalispell and Whitefish offer museums, theaters, fine dining, and shopping. Of course, Lake Koocanusa, renown for it’s uncrowded, aqua colored waters and sports fishing, is a short five minute drive. Take the trail east to Ten Lakes, believed by many to rival Glacier National Park for it’s beauty and wildness, or just relax on the deck and enjoy the sunshine.
