Great View from condo

This was an super value in a clean and neat condo. The Summit is an excellent resort to stay at. It is close to everything and met all of my needs. I have already recommended this condo to my family and friends.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Absolutely filthy condo in a nice resort

We checked in to this condo to be completely disappointed and disgusted. The floors were covered in long and short black hair (resembling pubic hair) as well as food crumbled under the dining room table. The sheets and comforters were covered in hair (and blood stains) as well. The furniture is dirty and the swivel chair in the living room looks like it has been salvaged from the dump. There is food stuck to nearly every dish and cutlery we have attempted to use. There was (and still is) a condom wrapper next to the bed in the bedroom. The cieling in the bathroom is molded and the shower is disgusting and does not drain. Also, upon cleaning the toilet before use, we discovered pubic hair and dried feces stuck to the toilet seat. On our first day of vacation, we made 2 trips to Wal-Mart (which is conveniently close) to buy bleach, clorox wipes, lysol, paper towels and trash bags (there were none provided) and spent the day sanitizing the condo. We also had to purchase a mattress bad (the mattress on the sleeper sofa is filthy) and sheets for our beds, in a hopeful attempt to avoid bed bugs/scabies/lice/etc. The owner seems unconcerned about any of these issues and said she would send clean sheets with house-keeping, and we have yet to receive a visit on day 3. I am aware, just as the owner stated, that people have different ideas on cleanliness. I am certain that NO ONE would accept a condom wrapper, above all, sanitary. I have pictures I would love to share and will if possible. The location and resort, however, is perfect! I would strongly suggest The Summit, however, also strongly suggest any other unit. We would have appreciated either a refund to move units, or as suggested to the owner, an additional night to compensate for the first night we spent cleaning the unit. The owner has not at this moment attempted to resolve any of these issues.

Owner response:This condo is cleaned after every guest checks out. The comments from this guest are not true. The condo was not in this condition when they checked in and when they checked out they did not leave it in an acceptable condition.

My family and I stayed in this unit for spring break. My teenage girls absolutely loved it. They could walk next door to Lavela to teen night and I could stand at the end of the balcony and be sure they made it in and out safely without walking them there. The condo was super super clean, supplied with all the necessities such as cooking and eating needs......we enjoyed it so much, we called the owner and rented it an extra night...lol The owner is very nice to work with. Everything that you could ask for is on Summit property...great food, drinks, swimming, pools, hot tubs and personally I enjoyed the Tiki bar by the pool. Everything was in walking distance such as Spinakers, Lavela, the Sling Shot, Hammer Head Freds, etc. We hardly drove anywhere the entire time we were there. The weather was absolutely beautiful during our stay. We've stayed in several units at the summit but so far this is my favorite. We have already saved it to our favorites and suggested it to our friends and family. Can't wait to come back soon!! Thanks!

Great vacation - all you need in one place!

What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. Neat, clean, everthing you need in one place, we only got in the car one time. Pretty much everything you could want is right on or near the property. This particular unit is right beside the elevator/stairs which was very convenient. Owner is just a doll and so helpful. Plenty of room for six people. I have already recommended this property. Hammerhead Fred's is right across the street, which is a great place to eat. Go-carts and Slingshot across the street. Tiki Bar by the pool is fabulous. The Summit is a great place to stay, and the owner of this unit is just super. Highly recommended!

This condo was very clean...well kept Spectacular views from the 14th floor balcony and beautiful sunsets from the living room and balcony.
