Why the Owner Chose Beach Haven
For years we had spent our summer vacations in beautiful Maine. But as time went on, we looked for other beach locations where the water was a little warmer. Beach Haven was ideal, providing both traditional beach fun and the boating activities in the calmer waters of the bay. Beach Haven really meets the expections of the lazy summer vacation spot. It's a small village where everything is walkable. The traditional summer treats are all there - an amusement park, water slides for those hot humid days, summer stock theatre, ice cream stands, outdoor concerts ...
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Our house is in the heart of Beach Haven. You can get anywhere in Beach Haven in a fifteen minute walk or less. There must be a dozen restaurants within a block or two ranging from highly Zagat rated spots to a genuine fifties-style snack bar. Everything is local, there are virtually no chain stores. Be sure to try The Chicken or the Egg, Beach Haven's all night eatery.
We are less than a block from the main grocery, Murphy's. For those with children, it's nice to know that our street is the only one that has restrooms and outdoor showers right. Also, there is a very safe private street in back of the house for playing ball and riding bikes.
Maritime history of LBI. Free use of computers, internet and extensive lending library on LBI.
Owner's Map of Beach Haven
Our family has always loved beach vacations. Unfortunately, we live in upstate New York and the ocean is 4-5 hours away in all directions. Beach Haven is close enough for a day's drive but far enough away to feel like we're really on vacation.
Here we are in early Spring at the southern end of the island just outside the nature preserve. On clear nights you can see the fireworks from Atlantic City.

Our family enjoyed a week at Bob and Aida's home in August, 2010. I say "home' because it offers all the comforts of home, it doesn't feel like a cold rental. We are a family of four and had plenty of room to spread out, a much better option for a family compared to a hotel. The location in our opinion is ideal, just south of Fantasy Island, so you void the daily traffic of those staying north on the island coming to the center for dinner and entertainment. We brought our bikes which we literally rode everywhere, never once moved the car! Plenty of restaurants within a stones throw, and the kids loved having Barry's Ice Cream just across the street. Hope to visit again!

This home is truly beautiful, close to everything, but still private. You have a front porch and 2 balconys, we had our morning coffee and watched the sunrise. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owners take pride in their home. We were extremely pleased. We have aleady reserved our week for 2010. Great summer vacation!!

My husband and I stayed here in June with two other couples and had a wonderful time despite the overcast weather. The property was well appointed and inviting, decorated tastefully with nautical & beach themes, and sparkling clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Everything in the house was pretty much brand new and modern. I am quite picky when it comes to places I'd stay, and this property exceeded my expectations. The location was absolutely the best in Beach Haven. We walked everywhere: ocean, bay, supermarket, liquor store, fine & casual dining establishments, pharmacy, wine shop, Bay Village, boutique shops, bars, miniature golf, etc... Nothing was more than 6 short blocks away, and most places were less than 3. We didn't use our car the entire time we were there. Lovely and relaxing. We'll be back!

We found this house in Beach Haven to be excellent and high end. It is in brand new condition as of June 09 and was exactly as depicted in the photos we viewed on Vrbo. The walk to the beach of a few minutes was as we expected and fine for us. The area in which the house is located is interesting with a nice new deli next door as well as everything you need like supermarket and many restaurants nearby. It seemed like the best area on Long Beach Island to us. Thanks again!

The home is intended for a one or two family rental. There is a room ideal for smaller children that has a bunk bed that sleeps 2-3. Private alleyway in the back is ideal area for small children to play. During the day, the beach and the bay are each only 5 minutes away. Use the extra sturdy beach carts to carry whatever you need. We supply everything except towels and sheets. 4 beach passes are supplied.
