Elegant, newly remodeled, ocean and mountain view, 1 bedroom condo on the 31st floor in the prestigous Discovery Bay Condominium. We are located 1778 Ala Moana Blvd, close to Ala Moana Shopping Center at the West end of Waikiki, near the marina and Ala Moana Beach Park. Free assigned parking space in the parking garage for mid size car! This is a NON smoking unit. Please note: Dec 08/and Jan/Feb/March 09 are sold out.

Our beautifully furnished and spacious condo is completely new, with all new furnishings, new carpet, new maple kitchen cabinets with granite counter tops, washer and dryer, dishwasher, eating bar, dining area inside and on lanai. 2 plasma TV's, queen sofa bed for guests, and separate bedroom with new california king bed. The large lanai with eating area, is accessed from both the bedroom and the living room. Central air conditioning and ceiling fans will keep you cool, when needed.

OUR rates include wireless high speed internt, parking, private phone/ answering machine, with FREE local and mainland US calls. Hawaii state tax will be added to your rental amount.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, pots and pans, coffeemaker, refrigerator, dishes and glassware, utensils, rice cooker,toaster and stove/oven.

Our location at the west end of Waikiki is very convenient to the Waikiki Beaches and walking distance to popular Ala Moana shopping Center. Several popular restaurants are across the street and, entertainment, food stores are nearby. In only a few minutes walk or bus ride you can reach all of Waikiki's attractions. The bus stops around the corner from our building.

Building ammenities include pool, jacuzzi, weight room, large sun deck, in a very secure building.

  • Aloha Waikiki Visitor, I have rented this 31st floor one-bedroom condo at Discover Bay for two years now. The view is about 230 degrees taking in the Mountains, Diamond Head and all of Waikiki. The lanai is the largest I have found in my 29 trips to the islands and has a great table & chairs for breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktails with a group of friends. The queen size bed is very comfortable and the living room sofa can sleep two. The Wi-Fi connection is faster than the one I have back in Chicago. The sun does not hit the sundeck until 10:30 a.m. but that is soon enough for my needs. The common area hallways could use an updating but one does not live in the halls. The unit was very clean when I arrived BOTH times. If you rent a car, but you really do not need to as everything you will want is within walking distance, do not get one larger than a mid-size vehicle because the parking space is very, very tight. I never close the drapes as I love to be awakened by the sunrise every morning over Diamond Head flooding into the bedroom and the Moon Rise is equally spectacular. You are just about level with it as you lie in bed. I also leave the lanai doors open when I am home because I prefer the Trade Winds blowing around the Unit instead of air-conditioning. Just so you know, I enjoyed the area so much that I just purchased a unit two blocks away except I had to pay 1.2 million dollars for the same view. In my lifetime of travels I have never discovered a more beautiful community of people than here on Ohau (which means “The Gathering Place in Hawaiian”), the Aloha Spirit is truly alive and growing in Paradise.
