My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights in this fine establishment. We originally had a family vacation lined out with my parents and brothers totaling 8 people but the other 6 were not able to make it, at least for this leg of the trip. My opinion of this place is as follows: The House: Outstanding in all aspects! In the event everyone (5 men and 3 women, all being adults ranging from 22-59) would have made it, we would have been able to eat, drink, and sleep merrily in this spacious home! The place is amazing. No other way to put it. There is a vast amount of space and the design and layout are perfect. All bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless. The kitchen was massive and had all necessary equipment to cook such as knives, pots, pans, and baking dishes. There was also coffee! A wood burning stove was in the living room which we made good use of. It was perfect for heating the living area. On another note, the homeowner put together an amazing gift basket with bread, jelly, Scottish loaf and preserves, a couple bottles of wine (1 red, 1 white) and my favorite, a 5th of Scotch. First class! The Setting: Excellent! You're in Scotland, and on vacation, is it possible to complain?! It's located in the country yet there are 2 cities close by so you get the best of both worlds. We visited Perth and Dundee and visited as many pubs as possible along with several shops. The whole area in general is beautiful. We grew up in the hills of northeast Tennessee and there is nothing like the country! It's also only about an hour or so from Edinburgh and around 3 from Glasgow, where we landed. We covered just over 400 miles in 3 days and saw a fair bit of Scotland. The Owner: Extremely nice! When we checked in with her, she came over, presented the gift basket and explained everything we needed to know about the house. She also let us know the locations of the best local eating and drinking establishments. Very, very, nice person! All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a few nights in Scotland! I've always wanted to visit there, and this house, coupled with everything we did, lived up to everything we envisioned it would be! We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.
