For two people, seaside nightly rates work out to only $50 per person in a Studio Apartment, and for larger groups, nightly room rates can be as little as $33.75 per guest (based on 4 guests--Summer season only!). **Free to our Guests** The following facilities are also provided free of charge for guest's use: beach and garden lounges, tables and chairs for outdoor dining, hammocks, a barbecue pit, a thatched beach Cabana, and fresh tropical flowers in the rooms. Also, the friendly managers will provide all the help and information needed to enjoy our island paradise. *Paradise location* Laughing Bird Apartments is situated on the beach in Governors Harbour, across from Laughing Bird Cay. Laughing Bird's apartments all face the sea and a sand shelling beach. The apartments are located in their own acre of beautiful tropical gardens in an atmosphere of quiet serenity. The apartments are located in a quiet corner of town, within five minutes walking distance of all stores and downtown, so a cab is not required! *Accommodations in Paradise* In our vacation property, each cottage consists of one efficiency apartment and a one bedroom apartment. Each apartment includes a living/dining/sleeping room with separate kitchen and bathroom. The one bedroom apartment has an additional bedroom. This allows us to accommodate a variety of travel plans to suit our guests needs, from one to twelve guests are welcome at Laughing Bird. Living in Paradise! Our well appointed apartments are fully air-conditioned and are equipped with cable TV, a kitchenette, a microwave, linen, and full crockery. All utilities are included in the rental rates, and maid service, and an extra bedroom are offered at a small additional charge. Bedrooms are supplied with a king size bed or two twin beds. *History Explorer* Governor's Harbour is centrally located on the 105 mile long island of Eleuthera. It was settled in the 17th century by the Company of Eleutheran Adventurers who came to the Bahamas from England to found the first democratic government in the Western hemisphere. Today Governors Harbour is picturesque and perfectly nestled in a natural harbour on the Caribbean coastline of the Island. Less than half a mile across the island is the Atlantic coastline, crested with long stretches of shallow coral reefs and world famous powdery pink sand beaches. Relaxation & Shopping for Gifts! The Laughing Bird gift shop is the place to escape the heat and browse thru Bahamian gifts and clothing. It also contains a small library for your reading pleasure. *Within a 10 minute walk are:* supermarkets, churches, clothing and gift shops, automobile rentals, banks, post office, medical clinic, dentist, restaurants, movie theatre, nightclubs, bars and liquor stores. *Travel Arrangements* Governor's Harbour International Airport is seven miles from the town and is served from Nassau and South Florida by the National Carrier, BahamasAir, and several other airlines, including Continental Airways(Gulfstream Air), SpiritAir through Nassau, and regional carriers, TwinAir (Ft.
