Luxury condominium complex located oceanfront, on Alii Drive, right in the heart of Kailua-Kona. Featuring two swimming pools; a large free formed saltwater pool at the oceanfront, and a fresh water pool, located in the center of the complex surrounded by beautiful gardens and an abundance of flowers. Complex has a sunbathing beach located oceanside next to the saltwater pool. Covered cabana for dining oceanside, as well as gas grills for your favorite steak. While grilling your dinner at oceanside, you just might see a whale or two during season; and you always get a great show of the Spinner Dolphins swimming by, just yards from you.
This Deluxe Sized condo is approximately 920 square feet. LARGER by 300 s.f. from the standard sized one bedroom units. This condo is a huge one-bedroom with a full master bath (two sinks, a separate shower and tub). The kitchen was fully equipped, the living room and lanai were spacious. We had a nice view of the courtyard with two pools. It's close enough to downtown Kona to walk, but not so close that you're in the noisy "party zone." The unit had a dryer, but not a washer. This was as advertised, and there is a laundry room in the facility. There's also a drying rack, insulated picnic baskets, a snorkel set, and beach towels. Very well equipped. We enjoyed this unit so much, I recommended it to family.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

This is a GREAT unit, perfect for 2 people, tile floors, AC, fins mask & snorkle for your use, beach chair. all kinds of towels and a dryer, kitchen is well equiped with stove, microwave, disposal etc This is as nice as a vacation condo that can be found, I would recomend this unit to my best friend, town is about a 2 milewalk if you so desire, there is a small market about 1/4 mile south that is open on Wed& Sat, great place. owners are very accommodating and listing is very accurate
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+.

The condo complex is located a mile from the downtown of Kailua-Kona. It is a solid and quiet place to stay, easy to get out of town to travel to the volcano and close enough to go to the local spots. No WiFi, just warning addicts ahead of time :) A decent affordable choice.
Owner response:We were told by our guest from Canada, Bill who has been coming for the past 11 years, that he just plugs in his computer in the dining area....no problem. The front lobby as well as the cabana area in the complex, seems to pick up the WiFi also. Just call us, we are moments away. Ole and Elaine Jensen

Aloha. We are from Canada and have rented the same condo from the Jensen's for the past 11 years. Have always found the condo clean and if any problems arose the repairs are always made timely and effectively. We are returning in 2012 for two months.
Recommended for:Age 55+.

cockroaches is the only thing I will remember from our 2 day stay at this location. The kitchen is infested. Killed over 40 of them in a 2 day period. If you like crawlers this place is for you.
Owner response:Response to Review We have previously resided in this condo for thirteen years; never had any pest problems. Casa de Emdeko is a high end condominium complex; oceanfront, two pools, elevators, etc. This particular condo has been rented for five years now. We never had any problems before this party was in there for TWO days. However, there was a condo next door, sitting vacant for one year. The problem could have come from there. The complex has monthly service for pest control. We regret and apologize to the party for the inconvenience they experienced. Why didn't they just call us; we live right in town.
