My family stayed at this beautiful house on the bay for two weeks in August and had THE BEST time! The bedrooms are very spacious, and the back property is just magnificent... private, view of the open bay, plenty of seating, and a ramp for our kayaks! I am hoping to rent this house again next summer! The owners were beyond accommodating... we feel lucky to have crossed paths with them - simply wonderful people! The sunsets are to die for, and our overall experience is one we will never forget!

This house was amazing just like the owners, they were nicest people. Although we didn't have the best weather, it didn't stop us from having a great time. The boardwalk is barely a five minute drive and every thing you could possibly need is within 15 minutes (grocery store, food, banks, etc.). We had a blast and wish we could've stayed longer!

I just came back from Memorial Day Weekend at Doreen's house, and I already want to come back. My friends and I had the greatest time at the house it was truly amazing. The beach and boardwalk was an easy walk away, and we were able to have a great weekend without any cars. Doreen made sure are stay was great, and I can surely say that my friends and I had one of the best weekends of our lives there. Thanks so much for everything again Doreen! Everyone who is interested in renting, don't hesitate! It's without a doubt worth it!!

This house was beautiful and at a great location! A few friends and I stayed the week and we had a blast. The boardwalk, beach, and tons of activities were a few minute walk or bike ride away. The house made us all feel right at home and the arrangement of furniture and everything was just amazing. The owners of this house are two of the most pleasent people I have ever encountered, they made our stay one of the best I've ever had. Everything with renting the house was short , sweet and to the point. I would certainly suggest this house to anyone looking to have an amazing week and experience of the Jersey shore. I would totally rent this house in the near future beacause it was such an amazing, stressless stay!

We stayed at the house for a week(September) we typically stayed on LBI but will be going to Ortley from now on. The place was great, sunsets amazing , we had a kayak but one can rent a boat if they desired a few blocks away. The house has a large deck, patio and dock (you do not have to go to the beach as the views and sun from the back of the house were great).The house was very large and well maintained. ***** Five stars

I and a few friends had the pleasure to stay at this house this summer and it was not what we expected. You can look at the pictures and even see the house from the street, but once you make the house yours for the week there is nothing else like it. The beautiful home is the most comfortable setting beyond anyone's imagination. I wanna stop here and say that this is not the owner typing; just a satisfied customer that wants everyone else to experience what I was lucky enough to experience this summer. The owner made things simple throughout the entire process and even threw in a few surprises when we got there. 6 out of 5 stars for service. Honestly if you pass on this house I promise you will regret it. Thank you for everything!

i just got back from that house, and it was most wonderful week of my life. i never wanted to leave. & the sunset was unbelievable. the beach is 5 minutes away and so is a&p and McDonald. the house was big and really comfortable & amazing. you can definitely relax there and enjoy your staying with your friends. we also received pizza (: & thank you again. everything is provided there all you need to bring is the good atmosphere and enjoy yourself. i would recommend this house to anybody. thank you so much again for letting us stay there.

Where do I start??... We had the pleasure of renting this property for Memorial Day weekend this year! This house has EVERYTHING you want and More in a relaxing weekend at the famous jersey shore! All the Bedrooms are large, 2 living rooms, a seperate dining room & a large eat in kitchen. However, as long as mother nature cooperates, you won't be spending much of your time indoors as the backyard is nothing short of awesome!! You walk out to a nice size deck with a weber grill then down to a very large patio with plenty of seating to enjoy watching all the friendly boaters go by, go crabbing or Relax!! The location of this house is perfect as it's located on the bay & only a couple minute drive to shopping, dining, the beach & the boardwalk! Don't forget to go in the shed and take the bikes for a quick drive to the beach. Also, very friendly neighbors! I've been renting at the Jersy shore with my friends for years and I can speak for ALL of us when I say this house is our favorite of them all! The worst part of this house is packing up & leaving because you just wish you could stay longer!! Just spend a day in the backyard & watch 1 sunset & you will know exactly what im talking about. In all if you're looking for a nice relaxing vacation at the jersey shore; you better hope this house is available for the time you're looking to rent! Last but NOT Least the Owners of this house (Doreen & Allen) are Great People to say the least and will accomodate you to the best of their ability! Prom Weekend

I stayed in this house after my senior ball with a few of my friends and we had an unforgettable experience. Not only was the weather wonderful but Doreen is one of the sweetest people I know and I thank her for trusting in us to take care of her house as well as keep any noise to a minimum knowing there are neighbors and we want to respect them too. The backyard looking out onto the bay was beautiful and extremely relaxing. We were able t go crabbing, ride bikes, and hang out and BBQ in the back as well. I say this for everyone in my group when I say we could not have had a better time/ weekend after our senior prom. I recommend this house to anyone and everyone looking to have a fabulous and relaxing time at a wonderful house and beautiful location. Thanks so much to Doreen and her husband Allen to making our prom weekend unforgettable!!

Just want to say that this was the best stay ever with girlfriends!! We enjoyed the house on the bay with beautiful views and lot of room on the deck to enjoy!!!! The owners were the best people to work with and made our visit so enjoyable by going the extra mile with accomodations. The house had plenty of space to sleep and a nice kitchen to cook in. A group of my friends and I stayed a weekend here and we absolutely loved it! The house is beautiful in itself not to mention the bay. Everyone is so friendly in the neighboring houses. With the bikes there for bike rides in the morning or night it is perfect. The A&P is extremely close as well as the beach and the boardwalk is but a 5 minute drve away. The only thing I didn't like about it was that we had to leave! Enjoy!

My family and I have one of the best times together ever. Doreen and Allen's home is just a wonderful place to get away and feel like you have gone to a special vacation retreat. 3 glorious weeks of sunshine and relaxation! Coffee on the deck at 6:30 AM watching the sun come up over the bay, the kayakers rolling by, and feeding the ducks and swans their breakfast as they somehow remember what time you will be out there on the deck! After coffee, the struggle begins as to decide what to do...always a challenge because you never want to leave the restful retreat of the gorgeous deck and view. The best part is, there is so much to do right in your own backyard that you are never compelled to go to the beach and try to find parking and lugging all your stuff to the beach! We did crabbing off the dock in the back with the kids, had a mini dinghy that they took out in the bay. The kids never wanted to go to the beach! There was so much more excitement in our backyard! Our friends with a boat came and picked us up in our backyard and we went tubing. Dinner time? No problem throwing something on the grill and having corn from Jerry's produce and sitting out back to eat...You just can't get enough at that time of day...watching the sun set as the beautiful boats go by in the orange cast of the sunset on the water. The breeze is delightful. The kids even slept outside on the lounge chairs with a blanket so that they could enjoy the evening filled with stars! Just amazing! Only 2 days of rain in 3 weeks! But, what a welcome relief as I always enjoy shopping at Martin's and the surf shops! I almost had to beg for rain to get me out for some shopping! My parents, who struggle walking on the beach, had a glorious time sitting in the backyard. I tried to get them to the beach and they thought I was crazy..."this view is too much to miss"...they wanted me to call Doreen to see if one more week was available so that they didn't have to leave...just awesome! So, when you want a true vacation...of rest and relaxation, this is the place to be. The kids won't be pestering you with, "what are we going to do today?" They will be up and out back before you, enjoying and exploring bay living. A terrific change of pace! Plus, take advantage of the reasonable cost of the cleaning service when you leave...always the hardest part of your rental...this way, you enjoy every minute of your last day! The only thing you'll have to deal with are the tears as you load your car to leave! Thanks to Doreen and Allen for a vacation that I so desperately needed after a rough year. I would like to start by saying it was a complete pleasure working with the hosts of the house. They did more than asked for. Doreen and her husband went the extra mile. They made this experience a complete delight. The house was a jaw dropper. The location was perfect, it was more than close enough to everything (2 beaches, broadwalk, a&p, and a great little pizzeria) . The backyard looks like it belongs on a post card. My close friends and I were really fortunate and received beautiful weather that week, which made it almost impossible for us to step a foot away from the backyard. The house was spacious. The bedrooms were large and the main floor was superb. My group and I couldn't believe how at home we felt. It was so peaceful. Just sitting by the bay, watching the sun set, and taking a deep breath would clear anyone's problems. The only problem during the whole stay was knowing we had to leave. We're all still talking about how much of a great time we had at the house. Thank you so much Doreen, you out did yourself.

This past memorial day weekend a group of my friends and myself rented out doreens house! It also had to be one of the best weekends of my life. The location is perfect! Close to the beach, the a&p (which is a perfect!), and to seaside. Although close to seaside, you know that you can go back to the house where it is quiet and peaceful. The view from the deck at sunset is truly breath taking. But the best part is dealing with doreen through out the whole process! She is really the best! :)

I rented this property in late September while in town for a wedding. What a truly magnificent setting this house has. There s no description for how amazing the sunsets are off the immense deck. Its a perfect home for family and friends to be entertained all year round. The Owners are a dream come true, and really made my entire experience such a pleasure. I would highly recommend considering this property to anyone interested.

Was lucky enough to spend a weekend, in October, 2007. The weather was simply fabulous . . . sunny, breezy, warm - even got a sun tan on Sunday! A "must stay" house. Owners simply wonderful - and that does not do them justice. Looking forward to another long "get away" weekend. Relaxing, peaceful, ducks were very pleasant and not demanding. This is a perfect spot for large family gatherings. Spacious home with a great waterfront location. Bring your kajak! We spent 3 days here in October, and had a perfect long family weekend. The hosts could NOT have been more gracious or accomodating!

And we do everything we can to make sure their stay is the best ever....We ask each guest to make a list of requests for their stay and if we can fulfill them we certainly do! My friends and I rented the house for a long weekend and it was the best weekend of our lives. The house is absolutely gorgeous and there is never a dull moment because there's always something to do. I recommend you wake up early and have a cup of coffee on the deck. The weather we experienced was amazing, but even in rain, you will have a great time. The house is fully stocked with everything you need...and the A&P is literally around the corner! The most important thing is that we had a great time in the best house that you will find in the Ortley/Seaside area. The owners are amazing, welcoming, and generous people and you will never forget your stay in this house!!!!
