The area is a hidden jewel away from the busy area of Waikiki but well within driving distance. The breezes from the mountains were cooling and refreshing and the views wonderful. The condo was spacious and well kept. The owner was easy to work with and addressed any questions or concerns that we might have had. The people in the building were friendly and most helpful. This was a very good area to escape the New England winter and we stayed there from 02/01/2012 until 05/19/2012Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

Great little spot very close to what I consider one of the best beaches on the island. No one comes up to Yokohama Beach for some reason and it virtually empty almost all the time. It has lifeguards and everything - like swimming on the Napali Coast in Kauai. Place was clean, easy access and close to town. Thanks again!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Yokohama beach is a hidden gem. White sand beach and turqouise water. There's a really nice hike from there out to Kaena point nature reserve, as well. Only accessible by foot.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, clean and comfortable condo. In the mornings the sun streams into the kitchen while you're making your Kona coffee. You can pull the sliding doors open and listen to the cool palm trees rustle in the gentle breeze while planning your day at the beach, perhaps playing your ukulele. It's an easy and happy spot in the valley just a few moments' drive from the nearest beach. There's a golf course with a lovely restaurant around the corner and sunsets at Makaha beach (the closest) are stunning. You're moments from several very different beaches: one white sugar sand with opportunities for surfing in sometimes pretty serious waves, boogie boarding in some playful waves with excellent foam, or swimming in the calmer part of the water; another at the end of the road with spectacular mountain views and a beach that's practically your own; yet another with tide pools and plenty of areas of shade, a bathroom and picnic areas. The condo complex offers all the amenities for a couple, a family, anyone who wants to find a convenient and fabulous holiday away from it all. The area feels untouched by tourists and provides a great refuge from the hubbub. It's classic Hawaii, pure and simple, full of natural beauty, the fragrance of plumeria (frangipani), which flourish around the condo. It's fresh and lush and all your own.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
