Come share Tim and Mary’s slice of Homer!
This two-bedroom 1000 square foot house, features good road access five 1/2 miles east of Homer, Alaska, and a million dollar view. Twelve minutes from downtown Homer, this southeast-facing house, looks at the Grewinck glacier ten miles distant across Kachemak Bay, framed by natural alder vegetation. It is set on a five acre lot, 1000 feet from the main road with neighbors largely screened by greenery.
The kitchen has a large window looking out over the deck, lawn and glacier view, and is open to the living area, with an open ceiling to a cozy second story reading and writing nook. One bedroom has a king size bed, the second has two twin beds which can be made up into a king size bed. A fold-out couch can sleep one adult or two children. There is a DVD / VCR player. Public radio provides National and state news mornings and afternoons.
Grill your fresh fish or meat on our gas grill. Our freezer has four 16 x 9 x 22 inch shelves, to keep frozen fish cold but is not recommended to freeze large quantities of fresh fish, better to have Coal Point on the Homer Spit, flash freeze large quantities of fish.
June visitors can enjoy the lawn and annual flower plantings. Early July visitors will see the hardy rose bushes and perennial plantings, and by late August the raspberry plants should be bearing fruit to brighten your breakfast plate. Full bath, full kitchen, washer and dryer, mud room, swing set. Dogs by approvald, sorry, no cats, owner is allergic. |
