What's not to like? Huge waves, surfers from all over the world just outside your yard, and humpback whales as a back drop! I'm serious folks, this is the best place I've been. It was perfect for our family. My daughter and son-in-law live in Waikiki and just had a new baby. The three of them joined us along with my parents. The shaded porch over looking the ocean was perfect for our new baby who could not be in the sun. There are nice loungers in the yard and up on the roof level deck for sunning. Two very important tips, okay three! Stop at Sam's or Costco to stock up for trip, you'll save lots of money. Get a 'card' at the local Foodland, it really brings the costs down as well. Listen to the restaurant suggestions in the folder in the house. The shrimp 'trucks' are the best. Don't miss this. We would make a trip up and pick up several orders to go and just lay them on the table and share with all. We had a couple maintenance issues that were no one's fault (one toilet handle we broke and one breaker tripped on gate during a storm). These were handled first thing the next day. Stu was a pleasure to deal with and trust me I asked a lot of questions before our trip. There is a bike/jogging path in front of the home that is a beautiful place as well. You can go for miles. Turtle Beach is very close. we drove down there almost every day and saw lots of sea turtles sunning in the sand and one day even a rare Monk Seal. You will not go wrong with this rental. By the way, this is one of the few homes that has air conditioning. Enjoy!

This beach house was just perfect in so many ways! We had 8 adults staying at the rental house and it accommodated us all wonderfully. Many mornings afternoon and nights were spent out on the awesome covered lanai with the best views of Bonzai Pipeline. We spent majority of our time just hanging out on the lanai watching the surfers and body boarders, the AMAZING sunsets and walking out to the large beach in front of the house. This beach is so large and wide even on busiest weekend you can find a spot on the beach without having to feel right on top of your neighbor (however peak surfing season may be another story). The house had all the cooking utensils, serve ware, BBQ materials, seasonings, etc. needed to cook meals at the house which was fantastic because many condos we have rented in the past did not provide such things which left us running to the store to buy things we would not need to take home or get an entire use out of by the end of our trip. It also provided all the beach items you would need for a day at the beach. There were plenty of towels and items to bring down such as body boards, flotation devices, some snorkel gear, etc. A book of recommendations was also provided at the house to let you know what are the must see/do/eat at locations of the island. We explored many of the places listed in the book as we were unfamiliar with the North Shore of Oahu and were not disappointed. Haleiwa is a fantastic little surf/fishing/shopping town that had a lot of shops to explore and many great restaurants! If you are active and like to run, walk, roller blade or ride a bike there is a great paved trail that runs along the main road on the north shore that takes you past many other beaches and scenic areas. We had many of our guests use this while they stayed here, the beach in front of the house is also a great place to run/walk. I cant say enough about how great this house is. It now makes sense when I see how often it is booked. When we return to Hawaii we will definitely be renting this house again. Many great lifelong memories for us and our friends have been made here and are so happy we chose this house!!!

We just returned from our second stay in this beautiful house. The location is perfect for a truly relaxing vacation on the North Shore. We rented bikes this time and enjoyed the bike path outside the front door that goes several miles in each direction. Every day we watched the waves and the whales off the shaded lanai. We sunbathed on the beautiful beach and on the sunny upper deck. The kitchen is amply supplied with everything you need to make complete meals for eight, which we did almost every night. The bedrooms are roomy and the house is very comfortable and quiet. Even the yard is a treat with the beautiful landscaping and chameleon hunting galore. Stu has made sure that the house has everything you need to enjoy the stay. You could literally come here and stay in the house and the beach the whole trip. But, then you'd miss all the cool stuff that is within a couple of miles - snorkeling and ahi sandwiches at Pupukea, the botanical jungle at Waimea Falls Park, the shrimp trucks at Kahuku, Waimea Bay and "turtle beach" where you are guaranteed to see a honu. The waves were huge during our stay so a surf tournament was held two houses down and the lanai was the best seating possible to view professional surfers competing at Banzai Pipeline. If you have photographers in your group, they will be in heaven! As for the price, well, if you have eight people, it is way cheaper per person than staying in a hotel and the experience of living in this house is vastly superior to staying in Waikiki. Plus, parking is free and you don't have to eat out. It is a wonderful alternative to the mania of the tourist areas. You will love it! Stu makes doing the business end of renting the house delightful. He responds promptly and completely to all emails and phone calls. Paying is easy and you get your security deposit back quickly. We simply have not had any problems with the house, but I know that if we did, he'd fix it asap because it is how he does business. No, I don't know him personally! But I'm glad to give him a big thumbs up!

I've stayed all over Oahu but this is far and away the best North Shore home you're going to find on any vacation rental website. It's not cheap but it certainly supports the old adage: You pay for what you get. The house delivers the best of location/housing/beach....you name it. We spent 10 days in the house and could have spent 10 years.
Owner response:Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed your stay...

We just returned from a week stay in the North Shore. We had a great time! The waves were huge some of the days, and it was such a treat to watch how majestic they were! I have nothing but good to say about this house! The location is perfect, as is the 2 decks and the views! To be able to sit on the Lanai overlooking the ocean and watch the sunrise and sunset was such an experience! The 4 bedrooms were perfect for our family, it's nice that most of the rooms have vanities and sinks too. We utilized the grill often, and ate lots of fresh fruit from the fruit stands and from Costco. I cannot say enough good things about this place, I want to live here! If anyone has questions about my stay, be sure to contact me! Thanks so much Stu, we love your place!

Had a wonderful stay at this perfectly situated house. It is on a gorgeous beach with spectacular views. It perfect for our two families (4 adults and 5 children under 6) - we cooked out, played in the yard, and romped on the beach. PERFECT!!

Hi Stu - Thank you for the speedy return of our security deposit. We had a fabulous time over Christmas in the Northshore house. The house was perfect for us - plenty of room and my god what a view! I think we spent most of our time on the covered lanai watching the water/waves/surfers/whales/monk seal... Good thing the power went back on the day we had to leave or I think you would have had to evict us! It was truly a pleasure doing business with you and if the stars line up right, we'll be back!

We stayed in this house for two weeks this May and it was incredible! The view could not be more beautiful and the access to the beach was just a walk down the stairs. It wasn't crowded either, it was almost like having our own personal beach. It is just a few miles in either direction from great snorkeling, food, the town Haleiwa, and the Turtle Bay Resort. The house itself is very accommodating. There is plenty of space on the deck and in the living room, nice big beds, and the washer and dryer make packing light. The kitchen allowed us to make our own meals and eat at home. It was a wonderful place to be and I would love to go there again!
