This condo was exactly what we were hoping for when we booked our ski vacation. It is very nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable and so close to the lifts and restaurants. The owner was very easy to work with and gave us great recommendations. I hope to be able to return to Deer Valley and if we do we will definitely be staying here (in this exact unit) again. Thanks for making our stay in Park City so enjoyable!!

Good but not great

The condo's location is very nice. Staying Mid Mountain was a plus - No crowds. The condo was ok. When we arrived it had to been vacuumed and the place was cluttered and dusty. We complained to the owner and he sent somebody over the next day. The owner was very responsive to our needs, but I still wish we arrived to a clean condo. It smelled like rotten eggs. Closets were stuffed and messy with vacuum cleaner and humidifiers and towels thrown all over. Closet doors could not be shut because of clutter. Light bulbs were burned off in the bathrooms. Little stuff that should have been easy to take care of before guest arrival. We have stayed in comparable priced condos in Steamboat and Beaver Creek which were maitained well.

Ideal condo and location in Deer Valley

Our 5 day ski vacation in this condo was everything as advertised and more. The owner was very attentive and helpful. It is ideally located in the heart of Deer Valley resort with good amenities, convenient heated parking and a cozy, cabin like atmosphere inside and out. Great fireplace and view with large comfortable king size beds and bedrooms. Would rent again in a minute.

I deont normally write reviews but I need to for this one. the owners were easy to deal with and the place was just beautiful. If you are a skiier, and we are begginers, you could not have asked for a better place!

Lovely Condo

This condo was everything that the other positive reviews and pictures lead me to believe, It was excellent in every way. The owner was easy to work with and helpful in his directions and suggestions. The condo was lovely, and convenient in every respect.. I loved the spectacular view, which was of Birdseye and Nabob at the top of the mountain. In addition to all the good things others have mentioned: if you are traveling with someone who will not be skiing or can not engage in physical activites this is a great choice. The condo's underground parking is just feet away from the elevator, so access is very easy, the walkway leading from the elevator to the condo is quite short and has only two steps up to get inside. There are some nice shops and restaurants very close and just spending time inside the condo itself is very pleasant.

This unit was the perfect place for our family-large, spacious and with eveyrthing we needed. The location was so easy for our little guys and with 2 bedrooms we all were able to get a good night's sleep. It is a gorgeous condo and very comfortable. We walked to the best restaurants and the lift was so close. I was able to cook easily when we wanted to stay in. Having 3 full bathrooms was so luxurious for us. The hot tub & pool were great fun for our kids. We were pleased with the owner's interaction as well-we loved it and can't wait to go back!!

Great Condo in Perfect Location

Our family stayed at Black Bear Lodge from Feb. 27-March 4, 2011. We found the condo to be extremely clean, perfectly maintained, and wonderfully convenient to the skiing in Deer Valley. The granite countertops in kitchen and baths are a very nice upgrade. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the furniture was thoughfully chosen and very comfortable. The owner, Ron Taylor, was really nice and easy to work with. He maintained contact with us throughout the rental process and was always available to answer any questions. The condo is located less than a 5 min. walk from several restaurants, ski rentals, shops and ski lifts. The Silver Lake lifts (near the condo) quickly take you to the heart of skiing in Deer Valley. This was our first trip to Deer Valley and we found the skiing to be incredible. The runs are beautifully maintained and the Utah snow is legendary! If you rent a car, you'll also enjoy visiting historic Park City, which is less than 10 min. from the condo. If you plan on visiting Deer Valley, be sure to consider Black Bear Lodge!

Great Property - Excellent Location

My wife, teenage and daughter and I just returned from a wonderful week in Deer Valley. The condo has a prime location mid-mountain at Silver Lake. Steps from the lifts and lodge. The unit is well equipped, spacious and wonderfully maintained. Two large master bedrooms with baths plus a large powder room also with shower/bath. Parking available in the complex and free public transportation stops just across the street. Good dining options at Silver Lake with the Stein Erikson Lodge just across the street. The Sunday Brunch there is a must if you can do it. All in all, a great trip. Great property with a great location in an excellent resort.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at the Taylor's condo. All of the above comments hit the nail on the head; from the ease of working with Ron (the owner), the cleanliness, decor, comfort, a thoroughly equipped kitchen and three FULL baths to the convenience of indoor parking, proximity to the ticket office, ski lift (mid mountain= less crowds) and ski shops and two restaurants. Park City is a quick trip down the hill. We would definitely return.

The condo owner is very easy to work with, the condo is beautifully decorated, and it is in a perfect location with easy access to the slopes and wonderful restaurants. Our family had a wonderful experience staying in the condo. I highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be in the Silver Lake area.

My family of 5 stayed in this condo at the Black Bear lodge during President's week. We had a wonderful time! The owner, Ron, was pleasant to speak with and offered helpful advice. The unit was walking distance to the slopes and to many fine restaraunts at Mid-mountain. It sits across from the Stein Eriksen Hotel and my wife and i used its spa. The unit itself was comfortable and sparkling clean. The parking garage under the building was heated and the parking space was just steps from the elevator which brings you up to the third floor where the door to the unit is a mere 30 feet away. The Black Bear Lodge has a front desk where attendees offer excellent dinning advice and other helpful tips. We had a great vacation and hope to be back next year!

This unit was very clean and well kept. The renovations for the 2007/2008 ski season were tastefully done. Blackbear Lodge is a short walk to the ski lifts and a number of restaurants in Silver Lake Village. The complimentary shuttle and concierge service offered by Blackbear were a great asset. The shuttle (a black GM Suburban)took us to restaurants,grocery stores and shopping in the Park City area at our convenience. We did not need a vehicle staying here. Ron was a pleasure to deal with and returned my security deposit promptly. I would recommend this unit to family/friends and would stay here again.
