We love the east side of Leelanau County because it is warm and the water is protected, with balmy breezes. (the west side is cold and windy).
With the eastern exposure, you can enjoy the water and beach for longer days and extended season.

My wife and another family just spent a fantastic week on Suttons Bay at BayBreeze. The house was very clean and met our expectations. Very good kitchen, well equipped. Nice weber kettle grill on the deck. The best part of the this rental is the beach. It was so nice to have our own private beach, no neighbors or noise. The water was actually pretty warm. We used the firepit everynight to sit out and roast marshmallows and gazed up at the stars.... very relaxing.... You will enjoy your time here...

Though I wasn't able to enjoy my stay during the summer (which I think would have been extremely beautiful), I did love occupying the home during the fall, winter and into the spring. It had a warm cozy atmosphere with lots of wonderful sunlight. The sunsets were particularly spectacular. I would highly recommend Bay Breeze.

Our family and dog stayed at the Bay Breeze beach house in August, 2008 and had a wonderful time. We couldn't have asked for a prettier view of the lake and cleaner water. We enjoyed renting a jet ski, went tubing, canoeing and really enjoyed the fire pit each night. We lucked out w/perfect weather. We highly recommend a stay at this cottage. It is close to the downtown, grocery store and we found a terrific running/biking path nearby that we used almost daily. Thanks to Shelly for your terrific hospitality!

Our Family stayed at BayBreeze on the Beautuful Suttons Bay July 1-8 of 2006 We were very happy about the accomodations and the location. The beach was gorgeous it was absolutely perfect for our youngest child and even greater for our dog Minnie. The home was nicely appointed, clean, comfortable, and nicely equipt for self catering. This is a great place to stay.

Very Clean House, bright and sunny,Confortable beds, nice deck, great fire pit,great sandy beach perfect for young children. Some trafic noise, could use a washer and dryer. Loved walking into town, great location.
