  Great location with pretty little beaches and easy access to kid-friendly walking and biking trails. Porpoise Bay beach was a favourite with the children. The property was great, though the hammock wasn't there which was a disappointment to my daughter, and the BBQ wasn't very clean with the fat-catcher dish full to the brim! Apart from that it was exactly as described. We were even lucky enough to see a black bear wander calmly through the garden, and a deer visited us on the beach. We had a lovely time and will certainly be returning in the future.

Porpoise Bay beach is a beautiful sandy swimming beach, and I can understand why it would be so popular with the children. The hammock was unfortunately torn a few weeks back and we had to remove it for safety reasons, but we have just purchased a brand new one and it is in place and fully functional. We have also thoroughly cleaned the BBQ and directed our cleaning company to ensure it is part of their cleaning routine. You are very lucky to have seen a black bear, we have never seen one and you are the first guest to report one, as they rarely venture into the neighbourhood. We look forward to having you back!

  One of my dearest friends was visiting from the Maritimes and we thought we'd escape the hub-bub of city life in Vanc. and head to the Sunshine Coast. There were three of us all together and we had a truly wonderful time in this home. The rooms are all well spread out, the view is lovely and it was so peaceful, even waking up on our first morning to find a dear resting in the yard over breakfast! It's just a short drive into Sechelt for supplies, with the Hidden Grove trails just up the road, and the beach just a short walk as well. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and making arrangements was easy. I'd love to go back again someday.

  We loved this log house during our stay. Kitchen and bathrooms are all well equipped and convenient to use. The house has very nice view looking out to the ocean and mountain. Love the trees around the house. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. We also enjoyed walking in the trails around the neighborhood.

  My family, including myself and husband, two young children and my parents, enjoyed a wonderful 4 days over Christmas. The room/floor setup was ideal and the setting couldn't have been more enjoyable. The Great Room setup allowed us to cook dinner and socialize altogether - the kitchen had everything needed for a large dinner. The decor and general feeling was tasteful, homey, relaxing and comfortable - the word "home" couldn't be more accurate. The owner was friendly, prompt and always easy to reach, answering our many detailed questions before we booked. He was a pleasure to work with throughout. The only real difficulty was the lack of phone access, although it would've been fine if we were really trying to "get away", instead of visit with family who live locally. In summary, we had a wonderful experience in a rental property that suited our needs for a "home" perfectly.

  We rented this cottage for a post New Years getaway and it was everything we'd hoped for and more. We have stayed in the Sandy Hook area before, but were thrilled with this property. The pictures truly don't do the house justice especially when it comes to size! We did have a short power outage on our last night and had to light a few candles, but that just added to the charm of being out of the city. We spent our days hiking the nearby forests and evenings making dinner and drinking wine by the fire. The house literally has every kitchen item you could possibly need. We had an absolutely wonderful trip. Thank you!

  This cabin is great! We particularly enjoyed going to the beach 5 minutes from here. Great scenery and a very comfortable and relaxing vacation. Sechelt will be a part of memories forever. Thanks for having us stay at your home!

  This is a warm, cozy, and delightful getaway. The kids were pleasantly surprised bt the fish in the door and the shell mural in the bedroom. Overall, the stay was relaxing (which the adults were in great need of. We will take fond memories of Sechelt andd this cabin back home with us. Thank you!

  We're a party of 9 (including 2 pre-teens, and 1 -7yr old ) that stayed from Sept 2nd -5th , 2011 . Enjoyed the spacious house and kitchen (for me!) for my special Chinese dishes. The kids mostly kept to themselves downstairs which was great, playing their video games . Loved the beach, which was a good 10 min hike, but I was out of breath walking up the steep hilll back to the house! The kitchen had all the amenities and more! Even had a chinese "wok" , which was perfect ! We loved having dinner at the spacious patio, and enjoying the great "view" , would love to come again! Will recommend to my friends and family , this wonderful house!
