    Our stay at this country 1-bedroom apartment was exactly what we dreamed of and more! The apartment is beautifully decorated, private and quiet and has everything that you will need for a week, month or longer stay. The location of the house is unbeatable (right in the middle of the Chianti Wine region) and makes a perfect base from which to explore Tuscany - San Gimignano, Pisa, Volterra and a dozen other typical villages are minutes away and you can be in Siena or Florence in a little over an hour. The views from the house are amazing, the closest towns (Certaldo Alto and Gambassi Terme) are charming and the multilingual owners are available and much more than accommodating. If you are dreaming of vineyards, olive groves, medieval stone villages and the perfect "Under the Tuscan Sun" experience - this is your house!

    We had a great stay. The villa was very nice. The scenery around the villa was beautiful. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The owner stopped by regularly to see if we needed anything. I would recommend this villa. It only has one bathroom and there were two couples but we managed okay. Kitchen facilities were adaquent. Owner had good info in the facility to guide us to sights or restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

    Tout était parfais; une vue magnifique typiquement tosacane, une maison de campagne chaleureuse et superbe. Nos hôtes Carlos et Miriam furent très accueillants. Ils sont devenus des amis. Nous espérons pouvoir retourner en Tosane pour revoir toutes ces magnifiques cités, mais aussi pour revoir Carlos et Miriam. La propriété est située au centre de toutes les villes touristiques importantes. Vous pourrez facilement visiter Florence, Pise, Lucca, Voltéra, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Sienne... Un séjour inoubliable. Merci Christine, Pierre,Félix et Laurianne

    Lovely place! Peace and calmness of the countryside, while still being near to every interesting location in the area. 4 people, 1 week stay. We stayed in one of the apartments with a separate bedroom and a big living room. Comfortable sleep for 4 people. The bathroom entrance is in the bedroom so you can't lock the bedroom door :)

    We were kindly welcomed. We enjoyed this quiet house in the country among a large domain and that gave a peaceful feeling. The appartment was large and beautiful, with a terrace and direct access to the garden and nature. Everything for everyday life was actually available inside, and shops and services in Certaldo, readily available. It was easy to visit Firenze, Sienna, in the best conditions, using railways; and Volterra, San Giminiano, and other cities, and the country using car. To sum-up, that was a very nice stay in a very nice house. More Details ?

    Wir waren im März mit unseren Kindern (13 und 10 Jahre) in diesem wundervollem Haus. Es ist sehr sauber und perfekt eingerichtet. Die Heizung funktioniert und es ist alles vor Ort, was man benötigt. Der Blick ist unschlagbar und da das Anwesen mit einer sehr lagen Zufahrt von der Straße getrennt ist, hat man wirklich Ruhe. Die drei gepflegten Katzen, die sich im Garten tummeln, haben unseren Kindern natürlich besonders gut gefallen. Die Lage ist super. Wir haben viele Orte gesehen, da alles gut zu erreichen ist. Um nach Florenz zu kommen sollte man die Bahn ab Certaldo nehmen. Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir kommen wieder.

    "Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sie befindet sich in einer sehr gut gepflegten Gartenanlage inmitten der Weinberge und ist dadurch sehr ruhig. Von der großen Terrasse hat man einen sehr schönen Ausblick. Zudem ist die Wohnung ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Touren nach Florenz, Siena, Volterra, Certaldo und San Gimignano (ein Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich). Im nahe gelegenen Certaldo (3km) finden sich sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Vermieter Miriam und Carlo waren ausgesprochen gastfreundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Grazie per tutti!"

    Die Beschreibung der Wohnung hatte nicht zu viel versprochen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und zentral gelegen. Die Wohnung ist sauber gewesen. Die Küche hat alles was man für ein gemütliches Abendessen braucht. Wir waren Anfang November da, es hat viel geregnet. In der Wohnung war es dennoch warm und gemütlich. Das Bad ist nicht sehr groß, aber sauber. Auf der Terasse hat man eine wundervolle Aussicht über die Berge und bekommt Gesellschaft von zwei schmusigen Katzen. Die Wohnung eignet sich fantastisch als Ausgangspunkt nach Pisa/Lucca, Florenz und Siena. Ein Auto ist jedoch notwendig. Es bietet sich auch an von Certaldo aus mit dem Zug die Toskana zu erkunden. Der Ort Certaldo ist sehr sehenswert vor allem die Festung mit der Altstadt. Ein Coop ist mitten in der Stadt und hat ein großes Obst und Gemüse Sortiment. Der einzige Nachteil der Wohnung ist nur, dass das Leitungswasser mit Chlor behandelt ist. Wir wissen aber nicht, ob das für die Toskana vielleicht sogar normal ist. Das stellt allerdings nicht unbedingt ein Problem dar, weil man im Coop Supermarkt Wasser in Flaschen zum Kochen kaufen kann. Ansonsten können wir die Unterkunft La Rondine besonders für Familien oder Pärchen sehr empfehlen.

    "Myriam est une personne formidable, une femme au grand coeur qui fera tout en son pouvoir pour vous satisfaire et vous rendre service. Il en va de même de son mari et de ceux qui l'entourent. Le coin est très paisible. J'en ai aimé les oliveraies, les vignobles. La vue est superbe. Les logements, très différents les uns des autres, ne nous donnent qu'une envie : y retourner pour en essayer un autre. Nos voisins de vacances venaient du monde entier, nous avons donc eu de bons échanges et ramenons de divins souvenirs. Merci encore à Myriam de trouver des solutions à tout. J'espère pouvoir retrouver un de ces jours mes hôtes et espère qu'un jour ils viendront me rendre visite.

    Villa was very much as pictured, nicely restored and maintained with beautiful outdoor patio and amazing view --very lovely for eating outside, reading, etc. Master bedroom was comfortable. 2nd bedroom is a small loft (not suitable for very young children because of steep stairs but fine for older kids and teens) and was hot at night until we received the fan. Not all windows and neither of the doors have screens -- we like to keep out flying and creeping critters but it seems that many rentals have no screens at all so Nazzano was ahead in this respect. Property is shared with other renters but was private and mostly quiet. Kitchen well out-fitted (except could use one sharp knife!) and all appliances worked well. Miriam and Carlo were available and friendly but very limited English. House is a few km from town of Certaldo -- make sure to visit Certaldo Alto (ancient town) and there are a couple of good restaurants in the town, especially La Saletta. Also a very good food Coop in Certaldo (and a public pool but we didn't go there). Tourist Information office is next to train station. Certaldo is about one hour S of Florence (we drove and parked free at Plaza Michelangelo -- walked into town) and only 15 km from San Gimignano. You will definitely need a car.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

    Our first trip to Tuscany was a memorable one. We were hopeful that once we got there, the pictures and description of the property we selected on the internet would be accurate - well, they were more than accurate, we were taken aback by the splendid, breathtaking views. The place was immaculate, with all modern conveniences; peaceful surroundings and, we lucked out on the weather in May that was more like July weather. The location is also a short drive to many famous cities and you can do day trips easily (a car is a must). We were always happy to return at the end of the afternoon and sit on the terrace and take in the views of the vineyards that lay at our feet with a 180o "unobstructed" panomara. We had breakfast and dinner every single day we were there. The owners were perfect hosts, without being intrusive; we were the ones who sought them out to have friendly conversations. They explained how they took three years to refurbish the old building now housing La Lucciola with magnificent results. We were totally thrilled with the place, so much so that, after a couple of days, my husband said, while barbecuing in the backyard looking out to the vineyards, "I'm going to sell my house in Canada and move HERE!" We hope you enjoy your stay at Country House Nazzano, and particularly at La Lucciola, as much as we did. We hope to return someday and can guarantee that you will not be disappointed in any way.     "Quel bel endroit de départ pour visiter la Toscane! Les propriétaires sont d'une grande disponibilité qui n'a d'égal que leurs gentillesses et amabilités. Les points de vues de la maison sont époustouflants. Nous avions l'impression de vivre au milieu d'une carte postale. Nous sommes très heureux d'avoir choisi ce site qui est d'une grande facilité d'accès ainsi que pour le rayonnement. Que ce soit pour visiter Florence, Sienne, San Gimignano, Volterra que les propriétaires nous suggéraient de visiter...     "Nazzano was a highlight of our 3 week stay in Italy. Clean , comfortable, well equipped, set in heart of Tuscany in the middle of rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves with wonderful paneramic views on all sides. It's central location with easy access to the train in Certaldo made traveling to Firenze,Siena, Pisa, and Cinque Terre so easy.It is also idealy located for travel to many other towns by car and all the amenities like groceries, post office, banks,shops and restaurants are only a 3 to 5 minute drive away in Certaldo. The owners, Miria and Carlo were friendly, accomodating and very helpfully with good advice and directions as needed. Staying at Nazzano made us feel we had truly experienced Tuscany. We are recommending Nazzano to our friends and will stay there again next time we visit Tuscany." Janet and Phillip

    "l'appartement se trouve dans un cadre enchanteur (vieille ferme toscane rénovée dans le style et avec beaucoup de goût, au milieu des oliviers et des vignes), il est extrêment bien équipé et décoré avec beaucoup de cachet. Les propriétaires sont d'une extrême gentillesse et très soucieux de la qualité de notre séjour. A recommander sans aucune réserve !"
